997 Turbo is the best 911 Turbo. Perfect size. Not too heavy. Beautiful styling. That car will one day be worth much more than it is now especially as a manual transmission 💯
Glad you're not selling the 997 Turbo. I sold mine in a moment of weakness to a guy who made me an offer I should have refused. Miss it almost every day.
Your 997 came out amazing. Your videos have made me seriously think about buying a salvage one from Copart or Iaa and rebuilding it myself. Thanks again for all the videos of the 997 just watched all of them since yesterday.
Yo Matt, love all the knowledge you drop on your beautiful 997, I have the Morimoto front lights & want to hardwire as well, hate that power module…can you drop a link of those adapters you got & can it be wired to the side marker? I can’t tell what you tapped into. Thx
The 997 is a keeper, good looking cars. Keep a daily like a VW Polo or Golf (Rabbit), good all rounders and excellent mpg. That's all you need. Hire a truck/trailer when you need it or pay someone to haul stuff for you - makes better financial sense...oh and whatever project car/truck the channel needs. I run a 997 Carrera, VW Polo and just sold my 1990 VW Singlecab as I never used it. A few videos under my signature if you're interested. Good to have a purge of stuff you don't use much. Best of luck with the channel, Martin (England)
I regret selling my e36 every day! Definitely keep it. You've made me want a new one and to LS swap it. Gotta keep the 997 as well as I feel like it's what built this channel. Hopefully the e30 m3 is a hit as well. Could you build a big garage/shed in your front yard?
@@matt13ross ok so I’m being hyperbolic, but the wing just kills me, other 99% great, but that wing man. Ik oem spoiler is like a bajillion dollars but it would make the build look better. Purely my opinion tho. To each their own.
I was in the same boat... 8 cars, a house and a rental property... waaaay to much to keep up with!! Now I sold the house, live in my rental and am down to only 3 cars... and I'm MUCH MUCH happier!
Keep whichever car that makes you happiest and is easiest to live with (parts and service costs) that is paid off and keep your daily driver; then sell off everything else! If only I would take my own advice … but since everything is paid for, I console myself with that!
Also, use an ozone generator for 15 minute burst once a day until the smell is gone. I wish I lived close to you so I go let you borrow mine. It did wonders on my house and car (996 40th)
I just wanna say, I used to watch guys with car vlogs, like Streetspeed, on here a long time ago. However, all their content got super repetitive and went to view chasing with giveaways and stunts. Your channel is honestly, in my opinion, the best automotive content on RUclips. Love the projects and the format.
Matt, let me know what you are looking to get for the yellow Porsche. I'd be interested in picking it up 'as is' for the right price and shipping it across the atlantic.
Man that e30 looks just like the '84 318i I had except mine had rust and the interior was going downhill lol. I also had oem foglights. Would have kept it had it not leaked all of my coolant out while at work causing the head to blow 5 minutes from home 🥲
Mann I want that e30 just for that interior! I'm currently building an '87 325is and the interior is shot and parts are hard to come by where I'm at, I dream to get it lookin like that eventually..
Wow you actually cleaned something NOT using glass cleaner. My 997 TT is my first 911 and I haven’t gotten the confidence to push it as hard as my other cars with the engines in the front.
glad to see you're at 100k man I remember watching when you first started the yellow porsche build and remember thinking how come you didnt have more subs or views
I Matt, I keep on seeing you close the hood of the Porsche 911 by pushing on the Porsche badge. Warning! That a sure way to leave a dent in your bonnet. Just gently push the flat of your palm below the badge. Love your work. I bought a 997 Turbo manual in 2008 and can't ever see myself selling it. Cheers
So my first two cars got totalled for me. But my third vehicle. 1982 Toyota pickup with 7 inches of lift on 36" military tires...that one I still regret selling it and that was 26 years ago. So much regret still to this day
I have been daydreaming of doing the same. Currently have 10 and it’s just too much to keep up with and constantly feels like nothing is getting done as there are so many needs and so little time.
Obviously the M3 project is in progress, so it's staying. Likewise, you have the truck for a reason. The 3 other BMWs should be gone yesterday. Don't need TWO Porsche Turbos--I'd keep the 996. I'm not even a yellow car guy, but It just looks so right. And the wheels? Chef's kiss. So the 997 goes.
Use code ROSS55 to get 55% off your first month at Drift.co drft.info/3Y0nh7W
Does the code work on the yellow 911?
“I’m selling everything…. Actually keeping everything. “
A statement every car guy has said once in his lifetime :)
👏🏼 finally that goofy tow hook/strap is gone! Giving you another like just for that 👍🏼🤣
Thanks so much!

I totally agree!

i discovered you chanel two days ago and i cant stop watching! greetings from Greece!!
Thanks so much and welcome!

The tow strap coming off was for your own good. We had an intervention because we care. 😁
Noooo not the 996 !!!
I love it ❤

I really thought you were already doing youtube full time!
Someday!
Sell everything but keep 997.
He kinda did a shit job on the 911 tbh I’d say sell
How so?

I'm not against the OEM wing. The reason it has the large wing is because it came with the car. A used OEM wing is 3K or more, not worth it to me.
@@matt13rossman he backtracked hella on that one 💀 personally I love the GT3 style wing and the 997 as a whole
Glad to see the e92 staying.
This is such a great video! Well done everyone and stay cool!
Thank you!
Hi Matt, thanks for all of your great videos. Do you like your QuickJacks? Thanks.
Love them!!
Thanks.
Im interested in the gt2rs intercoolers and your old exhaust if you have it.

It’s amazing how much freedom comes from simplifying!
Sounds like the time has come to decide if you gonna take the plunge to do this full time and quit the day job 😁👍🏻 (and buy/lease a unit 😁)

What do you do for your day job?
Who has day jobs anymore? Lol

Yeah man, I also stopped doing that, I have like 2 projects running and thats about it. Good one you for for doing this.
I think you’re making a great decision. Definitely makes more space to get some other projects lined up😅
Try a collab with streten for the S65
And with the E30 too
Keep the 997 and the M3 E30 build and sell the rest ( obv not your truck!)
It’s starting to clean up under the bonnet
I am in Australia 🤓
Man the 997 headlights with the black rings looked so much better! Personal opinion of course , good luck with the sale
Flog the e36, 996 & keep the 997 Turbo & e30M3
3:33 keep the truck and the Grey Porsche
Glad the e92 is staying!
Truck has proper wheels! Attaboy!!
Hey Matt, just stopping by to say hi, keep going strong bro.
Appreciate it!
I've only got 4 cars (three of them Porsches). I can't keep up with them either. Not enough money, not enough time.
Mann I want that e30 just for that interior! I'm currently building an '87 325is and the interior is shot and parts are hard to come by where I'm at, I dream to get it lookin like that eventually..
I'm also debating swapping the entire interior into the M3.....
@matt13ross it'll look good man, I'm jealous haha
Wow you actually cleaned something NOT using glass cleaner. My 997 TT is my first 911 and I haven’t gotten the confidence to push it as hard as my other cars with the engines in the front.
Ahahaha!
Whoa…. You didn’t use window cleaner for the front plastics? You feeling ok??
Ahahaha, must have not been feeling well!
Tow strap came off thank god
Now imma subscribe ❤
Matt how would you compare driving the 996 vs 997?
Matt. Did you see that action that’s happening in ca. the largest Porsche and Mercedes junkyard in the us.
Haven’t seen that no
Hi from Luxembourg 🇱🇺
Have you talked to Alex at Gintani for a motor? He built his business on those motors back in the day.
So happy you took the strap off and also the truck having the stock wheels LMAO, thank you for pleasing us!
Time for a new Porsche Project! 991 time 😈
Eventually!
glad to see you're at 100k man I remember watching when you first started the yellow porsche build and remember thinking how come you didnt have more subs or views
Thank you! It’s been quite the journey
Love ur duramax
New drinking game…drink every time Matt pulls the plastic covers off 😆
Our livers will not survive.
Glad I found your channel.
Appreciate you watching!
Clear your garage, clear your mind, put the check book money back in and buy a rental property 👍🏻😁
This is why you take time off in between projects :P
Good job.
If you change camber you need to reset the toe setting.
I'm going to have it all aligned eventually. This is pretty good for now.
what are those jacks you use to get whole car up?
Quick jacks! amzn.to/4eIK8MF
"Yeah i need to thin out the heard"
"I am gonna get rid of my cars"
""This car is a keeper, this one too, that one too, and that one and ...."
Looking forward to more e36 and e30 content 😎
Yes tow strap gone!!!!
little tip, do not close the luggage compartment by pushing on the emblem, it makes a indentation on the hood (over time) ;)
Great choice on the porsche keeper! I was watching saying.... Please dont sell it please don't sell it hahahahaha
Loving the videos!
Matt please make next project jdm, or even a usdm japanese car (chasers are like Japanese BMWs ;)
Like a Supra?
@@matt13rosslike an R32 😈
I know you already said you wouldn’t sell the E30 M3, but how much would you want for it… Hypothetically lol? Excluding the S54 btw.

@ copy, please do reach out if you decide to sell. I’ve always wanted a roller M3 project.
How much for the 996?

10:33 What program do you use to scan with the laptop?
Durametric
Have you offered the E30 to Mike from Stanceworks?
I think his hands are pretty full already
You should buy a 100 series land cruiser!
Ooh, interesting idea!

Good luck cleaning up. I’d agree with your choice even though my opinion matters none. 😂
why did you turn the truck into a BroDozer
Because I like that
Just curious, whats your full time job?
Drift is awesome had them for years. Didn’t have to switch them out very often as they hold their scents very well.
I'm really impressed with it! Never heard of it before this TBH.
So my first two cars got totalled for me. But my third vehicle.

Can we please get a hood emblem on the e36.
After paint
i really feel like you should raffle it out man
I would lose a lot of money lol
I am very interested in 996 turbo. How can we contact you if the deal doesn’t go through?
My email. It's in my RUclips bio.
I’m glad your keeping the 997 such a beautiful build. I think some off road wheels would look better on the truck
keep the cars and by a house with a pole barn!
Eventually!
what's your full time job? mustache parlor?
No lol
What do you do for living?
🤫
You’d be crazy to sell the 997! In a few years these will be fetching big money. Plus they are just awesome!
Hang in there and keep on trucking!
Today, henceforth, shall be known as ‘tow strap liberation day’.
California has a bunch of e30 complete for less than 4k and a better year
I recently sold 5 cars. Thinned out my garage to 4 vehicles. Feels good.
So who led the intervention?
997 and classic M3 stay
In germany there is one with warranty and 50k miles roughly. 12K euro plus a lot on top since its not the US 🫣
Sell everything but the 997…get a new truck and do some stuff to it
Keep 997 e36 and e30

The yellow and the wheels are the BEST part of the 996 for sure! But they 997 is just better in every way.
