Xavier using Cerebro (and his psychic abilities) to cover up the existence of mutants isn't a cop out, its an analog for real world things like the underground railroad.
There's also a precedent for it in the Marvel Ultimate Universe, where Xavier and Fury worked together to hide the existence of mutants. Of course it all fell apart when the mutant population exploded and certain elements of the government began hunting them with Sentinels but it would also explain the X mansion having military grade technology.

    • @sugen747
      @sugen747 8 месяцев назад +40

I actually like the idea of the mutant population going through a baby boom sort of deal in regards to how the mutants interact with the MCU. We are already seeing the cause of powers being more used oftenly in society in phase 4-phase 5 where prejudice against things that aren't just human is building up. A boom of mutants that are destructive (unintentionally) with their powers first awakening just adds to that hysteria. Combine that with the fact that there was mutants among us this entire time being shielded from the eyes thanks to Fury and Xavier just creates an awesome climate for the X-Men to make their debut in the MCU

This was an idea that was somewhat utilized in X-men Evolution. Great 90s to 2000s show by the way. It made the X-men a covert team that operated in secrecy to acquire mutants before they could be exposed to the public or cause harm in general. It was executed rather well.

This is a totally irrelevant detail but it's always bugged me that Xavier's is supposedly a school but it's only ever portrayed as a bunch of kids studying in random rooms of a big mansion that look like it's some makeshift class situation rather than a fully established private school. One detail I'd be sure to add if I was in charge of the franchise is that as the story goes on I would have the mansion actually get expanded into a full campus over time to have a visual representation of all the progress being made throughout the stories.

    • @lewisholiman9237

That’s why I wish that the X-Men: Evolution show had actually taken place in the Xavier’s school instead of a normal high school. It would’ve been the perfect opportunity to develop the actual school aspect. That and because it’s kind of moronic how they decided to do a high school show in a franchise that already has a school as an integral part of the lore, but put them in a normal public school instead. That’s like making an animated Harry Potter series where they attend some random public school and Hogwarts is just where they live.

In fairness it happened when we were kids as well, Wolverine pretty much stole the cartoon, had solo games, and had already taken over the comic already. Ironically the kids show showed him more as the chump he was than the movies for moving in on Jean.
Also Captain America, once Disney got hold of the Avengers, totally got the Cyclops treatment. You and I are old enough to recall no one gave a crap about Ironman when we were kids and Cap was way cooler back then. However you get a Academy award winning actor on the cheap playing Ironman and a mostly nobody playing Captain America (plus a REALLY woke studio like Disney that probably fired someone for daring to make a patriotic character much less one that specifies Thor isn't THE God).
Just look at the direction everything since Robert Downey Jr. is going now and Iron Man is overshadowing Cap.

    • @Byronic19134
      @Byronic19134 12 дней назад +1

@@darthbigred22I disagree because the truth is the entire MCU was successful because of the Push Pull Bromance Dynamic of Cap and Tony. It was despite them seeming polar opposite they were actually 2 sides to same coin much like Wolverine and Cyclops. Cyclops was always just right under Wolverine in popularity wether in the comics, games or cartoons Cyclops was always a bad ass with a moral compass where Wolverine was the more ruthless badass who hid his feelings but we knew they were there.
So I think the reboot has to do what the original didn’t do and make their relationship the pendulum on which the movies swing more so than Magneto vs Professor X.

Please continue with these, they are so good. Also, I'd point out that when the sentinels attack, you could have Jean telepathically tell one or 2 of the students to protect the rest. It could be a cameo from some of the New Mutants, like Cannonball and Karma. You could do this cuz it was sort of glossed over that the school is operational with 100+ students and none of the x-men went to see if the kids were okay.

An Omega level mutant is a mutant with abilities that have no upper limits, its determined over years or decades of experimentation with their abilities and research into what they are actually doing with their abilities.

Considering how many characters we have in the MCU at this point who’ve been kept alive for decades through stasis, I think a better and simpler way to explain Magneto appearing roughly sixty despite being more like a hundred would be for him to accomplish it through his powers. Just do a quick scientific explanation of how he manipulates the iron in his blood to slow the aging process to a crawl or something. Additionally, it would showcase just how widely applicable mutants’ abilities can be; a point that characters like Charles can bring up when arguing how much of a positive contribution mutants are to the world.

UPDATE: the video has hit 100k so looks like I’ll be doing a part two!
YOOO!! So happy you guys are stoked for this video n that you're lovin' it!! If this crosses the 100k mark I will get to work on PART II. (Part II will feature Sinister as the villain, dive deeper into Scott's past, Angel will get more of a spotlight and we'll introduce a host of new characters for our X-Men to contend with *cough* Nightcrawler)
Generally I'm pretty happy with the video, one element that could've been done better though is explaining Bobby's transition from his past life to his new life as an X-Men. You could easily remedy this by saying Bobby has just told his parents he's moved to a boarding school/scholarship etc.
HOWEVER, I think something cooler would be to have Xavier give him an ultimatum after he's had a taste for this fun life, return to his OLD life OR start his NEW life with the X-Men and have everyone he knows forget about him (friends and family) thanks to Xavier doing a mind-wipe with cerebro.
    1. This would seed the later development where we find out Charles messed with Hank's mind, showing that such an action is within xaviers character, that if he's done it to friends and family then he might've done it to us too.
    2. It would also help Hanks argument that Charles is indoctrinating these kids when there most maluable.
    3. It creates a strong decision on the characters behalf where we see him give up his old life (failing classes, grades, friends that dont really care about him) in exchange for his new one ( a life with potential to be great)
    4. it creates a strong narrative moment where he 'enters the new world' so to speak, completely stepping into his role as an X-Man.
    5. It would also punctuate the moment where he second guesses his decision to become an X-Man when he's talking to Jean.

Okay, Kevin Feige if you are reading this, do what this man says (or ya know, the spirit of it) BUT as a lifelong Iceman fan I have a few notes to add.
Bobby should not be running at the start of the movie, he should be skateboarding. The premiere Iceman power to me has always been the surfing on the ice. Many characters can shoot things from their hands (Iron Man, Spider-Man, Human Torch, etc) or transform their bodies into different materials (Colossus, Emma Frost and Beast is more of a stretch) but only Bobby does the Ice surfing. You could start him on the board then even have his nerves triggering his ice powers be the thing that trips him up. From then on during his time with the X-Men he is on his back foot trying to learn his new powers so he is more or less standing still and shooting ice or turtling in his ice (or even the snowman form would be such a cool callback to the OG look). But after his talk with Scott before the finale Bobby gains the confidence to be himself, speak up and move and more importantly skate again to help his team in the Magneto fight. I think waiting to show the surf till the end would be such a cool payoff for the characters arc in the movie and also bring more cool skating into the movies (because skateboarding is rad).

Hey, Super Frame, now that you have found a reason for Magneto to be alive in this modern age while keeping his origin as a Holocaust survivor, do you have any ideas on how to keep the Justice Society in your DC pitches alive? Because I have some ideas.
For Jay, if he's connected to the speed force (I don't know if he is), he can age slower, for Dr. Fate, the helmet gave him a longer lifespan as the helmet kept him immortal but he removed it, Hawkman's reincarnation and abandonment of Earth kept him alive, and as for other members who don't have powers that explain this, maybe we can say that the Spectre, once a member of the Justice Society, had decided to leave the team because he was impatient with the lack of punishment the team was giving to criminals, but not before granting his allies longer lifespans with his divine empowerment. Maybe he also left because he could see the second world war on the horizon because of his omnipotence and was disappointed with most members of the team's lack of physical punishment: killing. Now this does introduce a plot hole: Wonder Woman. Like you said in your "Good JL" pitch, she's one of the few members willing to kill, and since she learns how to lead the JS in her film and he has foresight, why wouldn't Spectre just be patient and wait for her arrival? Well, I got a few decent answers and am working on a few others, but right now, I'm thinking two solutions. Either he was punished by God and temporarily stripped of his powers, and only through certain actions, like joining the JS, would he be given his powers again, explaining why even though he's arguably the most powerful member in the JS, let alone the DC Universe, he doesn't use his powers for everything, or maybe a more compelling one, Jim Corrigan, the host of the Spectre, had decided to leave after a certain event happened to the team, maybe something that happened in the comics, and so before he left the team for good, he empowered them and spent the rest of his lifetime being the host, but spectating (you get it) at the events he foresaw, being WW2. It's still a work in progress, but these are just concepts.
    TL:DR
If you're only reading this, just read the first paragraph, you lazy ass.🐴 (Just kidding, I don't mean to insult.)

Good ideas. I also too believe it would be best if Mutants already existed. Before the modern krakoa era Emma used cerebro to erase humanity memories of mutants. So that's definitely a good idea. My personal starting team would be the ultimates version of Jean,Scott, Colossus,Storm , Hank with Bobby and Logan being some of the early recruits.. That team is best because it includes some of the most popular X-Men and original team as well. Also wouldn't mind krakoa already being a thing.

    1) Max Eisenhardt is Magneto's real Jewish birth name. "Erik Lehnsherr" was his alias undercover name. In modern X-Men comics, Magneto has been embracing his Jewish name, Max Eisenhardt. This could be a way to distance this Magneto from the Fox Studios Magneto and align him with modern comics.
    2) Magneto should have a Brotherhood of mutants to rival the X-Men, which consists of:
*A) Lorna Dane as Polaris. Magneto's granddaughter. Max discovered he had a granddaughter after he parted ways with Xavier and Beast. Polaris develops a rivalry with Jean Grey. Polaris replaces Scarlet Witch who has been used in the MCU already.
*B) Alex Blanding as Havok. Alex kept his adopted family name and doesn't know he is a Summers. He thinks his brother died in a plane crash with his parents, as he was told growing up at a young age. Magneto broke Havok out of a government containment cell, due to his explosion that accidentally killed dozens of people. Ever since Magneto recruited him, he has been in love with his granddaughter Polaris. Havok develops a rivalry with Cyclops, and doesn't understand why their powers cancel each other out.
*C) Shiro Yoshida as Sunfire. Magneto recruited Sunfire in Tokyo when his fire powers developed out of control adding to the anti-mutant hysteria. Shiro is the son of the Japanese ambassador. Sunfire develops a rivalry with Iceman and has a hate/love relationship with Bobby Drake.
*D) John Proudstar as Thunderbird. A native Apache and a former US Marine, Magneto recruited Proudstar, not only for his advanced tracking and fighting abilities, but also because of his mechanical intelligence. This Thunderbird also has the powers of Forge. Proudstar develops a rivalry with Beast.
*E) Raven Darkholme as Mystique. Having a shapeshifter on the team makes any X-Men movie more interesting. Mystique is recuited by Magneto alongside her Austrian wife.
*F) Irene Adler-Darkholme as Destiny. Irene is first introduced as Mystique's wife, just like in the comics. She is recruited by Magneto in Austria, Europe with Mystique. As a blind woman, not only can Destiny forsee visions of the future, but she can also cast illusions. She's replacing Mastermind on this Brotherhood, to add more women, LGBTQ and persons with disabilities representation on the team.

Also, Super Frame, off topic, but for your DC Universe, for the projects, like Nightwing or Green Arrow, that weren't based on specific stories like Justice League 2 was based on Tower of Babel or Batman 3 with Red Hood, are there any stories you would consider for them? I decided to elaborate on your pitched universe because I really love it, but I think I see some potential in some areas, and some of those areas are the projects not based on a clear, existing story. I just wanna know if you know. Also, I just need to know, what's the music you use in your videos, specifically from these 'How to make a bad/good (superhero) movie'?

    2 Post credit scene ideas:
Number 1: Beast makes his way to sword. When the ships land he walks inside and gazes in wonder at all the technology sword has. A familiar voice says “Impressive isn’t it.” Out of the shadows is a black man in a trench coat and an eyepatch. “Hello Hank Mcoy,” he says. “I’m Nick Fury. Welcome to sword.
Number 2: We cut to a bar in a rural part of America. As we see different parts of the bar we can hear Scott’s speech from the end of the movie on the tv in the back ground. We then to the back of a man watching the tv while having a drink. The only other person there is the bartender. That is until 3 biker guys burst in. The bartender runs but the man continues his drink. “You think you can fool around with my sister and I wouldn’t find out about. I gonna freaking kill you,” the lead biker says. We cut to a shot of just the man’s arm resting on the table. We hear a sigh, the man balls his fist and 3 metal claws shoot out of the as we cut to black.

@@murk4552 I feel you but we also have to look at this realistically. Before the MCU when people thought of the big three of marvel they were Spider-Man Hulk and of course Wolverine. He was also a big reason why those other X-men movies were successful. There is no way Marvel will leave him out for long. I doubt they’ll leave him out of the first movie but if the do like super frame pitched then they’ll 100 percent put him in the second one.

    • @murk4552

@dariusporter358 yeah man, it's just to break that convention would be fascinating to veer away from the greater Avengers centered comics and go deep into the X-Men universe for once. The films didn't do anyone justice, just generic and mediocre display of their characters and powers. Some of my friends and I want to do a hard reboot with the X-Men and made a show synopsis where X-Factor is brought out of retirement after being framed for assassinating members of Stryker's political entourage. One of the twists is that it wasn't the X-Men themselves, but clones that did it. So now they have to redeem themselves and figure out who planned this and why.
HINT HINT....that's all we want to tease so far. We also set in the late 70's, early 80's after the ending phase of the Cold War. America wants to find a new superweapon to take down Russia, but from the inside so it doesn’t look like the U.S. was directly involved. Long story short, mutants are used as the strawman and the mutant-human race war is on rise again.
We also fancasted over 150 famous characters and went deep for various plots, arcs, sagas, etc.

    • @murk4552
      @murk4552 8 месяцев назад

We also had 3 different ideas for post-credit scenes of the 1st film. Don't want to give away the secrets, but they involve someone in Scott's family, a classic soon to be long-time enemy of theirs (Not Magneto) AND revisiting some of Xavier's past relationships.

Believe it or not, Cyclops has always been the main Mutant of the X-men, or more clearly he's the Main X-Men of the Mutant. By franchise standards, the X-Men trilogy should focus on Cyclops and his Origin Story, while giving the other members something to develop on from beginning to end. But still have him a new member of the X-Men, get him developed as the OG Leader of the first X-Men. The bottom is that I basically agree with this video and Cyclops should be the main Mutant of MCU's version of the X-Men.

That was an awesome script for the X-Men in the MCU. I love your castings for Professor X and Jean Grey. Ralph Fiennes would be an excellent Professor X and Kennedy McMann would be a great Jean Grey. I can also Rudy Pankow as Iceman, even though he would be an awesome Human Torch. Though for the roles Beast, Angel, and Magneto. I feel like Magneto and Professor X would be around the same age. I also would imagine Beast would be in his late 30’s to early 40’s and Angel in his late 20’s or early 30’s. Don’t get me wrong, I love your picks and the actors would be great for those roles but I feel like they’ve aged out of the roles. Which is why Jason Isaacs would absolutely kill it as Magneto because I can see him playing a dark, cold villain with a tragic past. He’s also the same age as Ralph Fiennes and I think they better would work together as old friends turned enemies like how they both worked on Harry Potter back then. For Beast, I think Sam Richardson would take a shot at playing Beast, because he can play the smart, intelligent, kind, and gentle Beast we know in the comics. Plus, Sam Richardson said that he wants to play the role. For Angel, Angel Elgort, in my opinion, would kill for the role. I can see him playing the good natured, understanding, helpful, rich guy while I can also see him turning dark as he turns into Archangel. For Cyclops, It was very hard for me finding the perfect actor for the role. But then I decided to go with Jacob Elordi for the role Cyclops. I can see him playing a leading man who has to take charge and make sure the plan goes right. He’s also the same as Kennedy’s Jean Grey. Also he’s 6’5 and has a strong toned body. I know he would be a good choice for Colossus, but I can see Jacob as a strong Cyclops.

"Why would people hate mutants and not any other super hero team?"
I hate this sentiment for 4 reasons
    1. Mutants develop their powers during their teenage years. There would obviously be a lot of fear around teenagers spontaneously becoming monsters or instantly killing people by accident or just exploding. Giving random powers to teenagers is a horribly dangerous concept, especially when there's millions of them popping up.
    2. Other super heroes are generally adults and have public identities. Those that hide their identities are often demonized like Spiderman or the Hulk. Only characters like the Fantastic Four, the Avengers and government sanctioned teams are exempt because they are public figures with well known identities.
    3. Mutants are not a team, they are a race. The X-Men and the various X teams try to represent mutant-kind in an benevolent way but there's still a ton if outliers that use their powers selfishly or to commit acts of terrorism.
    4. Just like real bigotry, there's always been anti mutant propaganda. There's always been right wing grifters in Marvel that peddle mutant hate in order to gain wealth and fame and there's always been uneducated masses that fall right into their grift.

That could give weight to Charles and Cain's relationship, as to Cain being presumably dead because Charles made a mistake, fueling Cain's anger towards Charles leading him in his path to eventually becoming the Juggernaut.

Absolutely loved that moment with Magneto threatening to ‘shoot’ Angel, genuinely felt the tension!

holy shit this is actually one of the best x men introduction stories. Asides from maybe some extremely minor things, it is a very close to perfect way of having them integrated in the mcu, i also like the way you thought about those things while creating this narrative, as well as going over some choices you made and describing why you had it be that way. The characters of my two favorite x men, cyclops and iceman were handled in a fashion i was more than satisfied with and the rest of the cast were fleshed out well also. Overall great video and you have to get this to marvel or disney somehow imo

A few days ago I was watching the animated show, specially the 2 episodes where Warlock and the Phalanx arrive to Earth. There's a part where the team went to the artic to ask for Magneto's help, who secluded himself after the whole mess with asteroid M. He had his beard all growed and he reminded me alot to Pearce Brosnan. From then on, I've been thinking that he could make a perfect Magneto too. He's even almost as high as Erick is in the comics.

Damn you for making me want to watch this movie right now!!
Also, I hope you’re saving some of these treatments/scripts for the future to actually pitch because I guarantee that these will get someone’s attention. Earned a sub from this and the amazing JL videos! Can’t wait to binge everything else!
Also, if you ended up doing a fan film of this, I’d love to audition for Bobby.

They could literally just add ( longevity ) to magneto’s power set or say mutants tend to live longer and age slower in general seems like a simple patch to me
