US vs UK Dominos | Foreign Exchange | Food Wars
I'm just impressed how much they both ate when visiting each others countries not only food tours but also food wars foreign exchange, thats some impressive food intake levels
They had too, I would've devoured atleast 2 slices each
@lutonboy8104 it was painful
@@harrykersh I'm more impressed that you both keep the weight off - I already have a belly and I'd be truly huge if I did your job! Do you just constantly run between videos?
Incredibly wild stuff lmao
@@harrykersh hey harry
The pure excitement and joy these two bring me is just unreal
True, who wouldn't enjoy pizza
Joes love of eating is what brings me back every time
It isn't the same without George 😢
Did anyone tell Joe it's likely called the "absolute banger" because of all the sausage on it? Banger is British slang for sausage after all 😁
Bloody hell mate of course a Hong Konger watching know the slang.
@@joshchan2642???
@@mega_Boi2004 even a fella from Hong Kong, knows that banging means that there’s certain things that individual think it slaps.
Compared to the other term for "banger"
If I'm correct, it's because sausages had a lot of water in them during World War 2 (or after the war?) And they "banged" when put in hot oil.
Really loving this foreign exchange series Joe and Harry really know how to entertain us with food This is the best series ever.
The "Absolute Banger" in the UK is named like that because "banger" is slang for sausage. Additionally, it was a valentines special that got extended into a permanent menu item, and its meant to be a double entendre (sausage... "banging"... get it?).
I wait all week for the next episode and it doesn’t disappoint. I am loving the foreign exchange episodes.
Guess this was recorded before Joe and Harry were in Philly for the cheesesteaks.
I'd love to see a video where they explore the meat/sausage production of both countries, as the difference in the meats has been a sticking point throughout this series
Harry is about to get jumped at that studio comparing Dominos to NYC Pizza 😂
The best part is he says he “probably” offended some New Yorkers. Like bro they outside the studio rn😂😂😂
Wish they explained that the absolute banger pizza was named that because a banger in the UK can mean sausage.
"It looks like an alien community opened a pizza place" had me dying.
Been loving this series. Keep it up.
Saw this drop and I knew it was time to relax and watch the masters at work.
Joe’s addiction to the additives in US food does make me laugh, nothing more natural tastes good to him! it also makes me a laugh how he just says EXACTLY what he thinks whereas Harry tries to do the British thing (as a Brit I know) and be a little more polite 😂
I actually noticed this myself having pizza from an authentic pizzaria in Italy, all the ingredients you could tell were fresh and very little additives.
Tasted amazing and now I hate the stuff on the shelves and from fast food places
@@harrywhite9030yes the best Pizza I’ve had was in Positano right by the church
You basically nailed it... outside of the Indian food my mom cooked at home, I grew up on mostly processed foods. Once I moved away and began cooking for myself non-Indian stuff, I began to appreciate how much better fresh ingredients are. Now when I have processed foods, I taste the fakeness mostly in the form of absurd saltiness.
When you grow up with additives, you just get used to them. Was in Atlanta last year and when my dad and I ordered a pizza from dominos, we preferred it 100% over the ones in Europe. Especially the “cheese”.
Of course companies could dial it down on the chemicals but biologically, they’re just extra proteins and all that. Which gives it a different flavor.
My favourite two hosts on this channel always, ALWAYS keen to watch your episodes 😁
I love you guys! Thanks for the videos! Please keep doing what you love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'll never get tired of the explosion effect 🤣
I love how these videos just always jump right in to the real content, no long intros just straight comparisons. Keep it up
did joe not try the UK crust? the stuffed crust slaps with garlic and herb dip.
I used to work at a Domino's a few years ago, and we had a weird, but in my opinion quite tasty pizza called Hypnotica. It had a creme fraiche base, and was topped with spinach (under the cheese), bacon, pepperoni, beef, onions and sauerkraut. Then, after coming out of the oven it was topped with a spiral of BBQ sauce (hence the name Hypnotica).
Sounds gross.
@@dirtyfiendswithneedles3111 Believe me, I thought the same before I actually tried it. But to each their own, of course.
Sounds like it's trying to be flammkuchen (topped flatbread from the French-German border). Though sauerkraut on top and BBQ sauce definitely not right for that.
@@orientalmoonsmy thoughts exactly
I’m sure that Domino’s USED to do Cinnamon Twists (or something very similar) in the UK some years ago
Cinni dippers
I love this series!
So far,I've really enjoyed this portion of the series! I hope they have more episodes on the way. This is the first time I have heard of a tuna pizza😮😮and corn on a pizza😮😮. Joe is so brave!!
I always love watching these because it's interesting to see that different places around the world have different menus despite them being the same company. I also find it interesting to see what you can get in other countries versus what you can get here in the uk
It's great to see the opinions of people trying other people food to compare
I love how the longer this video goes on, the more sarcastic Harry gets
I love these videos and the connection you both have, I would just prefer if Harry wouldn’t give a 10 minute monologue of tasting everything. Joe literally tastes them all within 10 seconds and gives a brash hilarious response. (This is coming from a British person too) 🤣❤
The UK not having a decent Mexican food joint makes a lot of sense now, because I've recently discovered a vast Majority of people from the UK absolutely hate what they THINK Mexican food is.🤔
What tacos and quesadillas?
good day when these two post
Love this 😍
I like each of the series for different reasons but I think I like this one a bit more
Fabulous episode! Now I’m laughin’. 😁😁😁
So jealous that Double Decadence was available when Joe visited. The GOAT of bases.
The Philly sandwich without green peppers is the 💣
This just reminds me to get pizza again, because these videos always mske me hungry 🤤
You got the chocolate lava cake here in the Netherlands to, it's quite good, but way to expensive.
You had me at blue cheese dip which would be amazing so long as they get it right, not chemically and ultra processed.
Hope the uneaten food isnt wasted
Shush
It sure is funny to see how much they struggle to find which food they want to take back.
Guess Harry's sweet tooth loved those Cinnamon Treats while Joe liked the Volcano Veggie as the best Pizza.
when was this filmed? we have not had nacho's or double decadence base for ages and there was no stuffed crust
The Pasta Primavera at Domino's is a diamond in the rough...the tomatoes and spinach and onions in there are such a welcome change from all the godforsaken abominations they do to everything else on the menu...
I really like these new foreign exchange food wars episodes. I love hearing Joe's reaction to some of the pizzas though. And as a fellow American, I also think tuna and corn don't belong on pizza. Ever.
The Pan Crust comes with ~3 oz.of butter-flavored oil soaked into its underside. It ain't healthy but damn, does it taste rich! The gluten-free crust is normally pie-cut into six slices, and it is most definitely an oddly-flavored thing. I actually like it, but it's not good enough to spend the extra $1 for the obligatory small size.
I rather have ranch over this, cause ranch is always lit,but hey,y’all do y’all.
If you can get one thats cooked properly it isn't bad at all but everytime I order the pan crust its undercooked
Our crust options in the uk are so bland compared to you guys. Give me that pan crust all day.
Gotta try the pan crust the next time I’m in the states.
6:10
*needle scratch*
What have they been exposing him to then???
I would love to know what the entire US order cost vs the UK as the UK is so expensive by comparison from what I have seen.
Yeah it's crazy how fast food seems to be cheaper in America, whereas healthier unprocessed food is cheaper in the UK 😅
From what I've seen pizza menu prices are two or three times as expensive in the UK, but they usually have some good coupons like BOGO or 50% off when you spend more than a certain amount, so if you're buying at least two pizzas it wouldn't be too bad.
Uk is actually cheaper when it comes to fast food 😫
they compare prices in the main series 😎😎
In the UK it's like $20 (£25) for one "large" (about the same size as a US medium) Dominoes pizza on it's own it's insanely expensive for the commercial mass produced crap low quality pizza you get
LOVE it
More of these two dudes plz
Curious - what do you do with the left over food??
There should be a India vs US Foreign exchange! Joe's gonna enter a whole new world of vegetarian fast food
This was filmed before they went to Philly for the best cheesesteak, right? Harry's comment about never having a proper Philly cheesesteak caught my eye.
I sometimes get the Philly Cheesesteak pizza, but w/o onions/mushrooms/peppers and extra meat. If you order online, the extra meat is free because you removed other toppings. Not sure if that happens if you order in person. Also, Joe’s wrong about the sandwiches. They’re fine (but not great). I wouldn’t say the pasta is bad either, but still just so-so like a microwave dinner.
Time for a US/Australia series now :)
I didn't hear a mention for either of my two favorite toppings at Domino's in the US - Salami and roasted red peppers. Those are excellent, especially when getting creative and adding them to a few other classics. I wonder if Domino's still carries those toppings.
My local Domino’ has never had salami and roasted red peppers.
Holy sht I wish my dominos had salami.
Ranch substituting for tomato sauce is heresy.
If you simply must have ranch on the few pizzas that can bear it, swirl over the top.
Keep the conventional sauces, be they tomato or beschamel.
Key to Dominos is extra sauce and extra baked. Also add the bacon & tomato boneless wings to the pasta primavera. Super tasty.
Im a brit & I don’t like the sausage they use on pizzas here in uk.
Great video.
That Chocolate pizza is soooo much better when eaten immediately!
I think the last Dominos I had was in February, so I’m living vicariously through this.
anyone else wonder what they do with all the leftovers 😭😭
I'm sure all the production crew dig in once filming had stopped..
I'm so behind Food Wars content - I need to catch up.
Long live Food Wars!
"ive never had a proper philly cheesesteak before" ... Remembers the philly cheesesteak video before 😂
Nice!
I got diagnosed with Coeliacs 4 years ago in my 40s...you absolutely can get gluten free crust in UK Domino's as well and Harry's reaction was spot on!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Also in total agreement with Joe about tuna (or any fish for that matter!!!!) on a pizza. Love them separately....but they should NOT be combined! 🤮
The best gluten free pizza that my wife has found before, is from Tops Pizza - you get the gluten free base on the vegan pizza's, but you can swap the vegan cheese for proper stuff :D
Very funny that this is out-of-order with Food Tours and now we know that Harry had the philly cheesesteak pizza and THEN got to enjoy real ones. What a way to ruin this guy's opinion of them!
sweet mango sauce from the us sounds so good, whish we had that.
Hilarious 🤭😂
I am impressed.
"Jokes on you" 😂
"Hey we're getting pizza for the office."
"Cool, what kind you getting?"
"All of them"
I had no idea the double decadence was still a thing that's the best crust
I just checked my local Domino's and it's not listed as an option... 😔I worked at a Dominos from 2006-2012, Double Decadence was always my favourite crust.
The CIA should take note of the idea of tuna pizza and use it to get prisoners to confess the location of their comrade's base of operation.
I love me some corn on a pizza, Pizza Hawai we call it. LOVE it.
Same with Spinach.
Oh God. Ewe
"I've never had a cheesesteak"
Cut to going and eating 4000 in one day.
Probably filmed this video before he did that one
Luv foreign exchange better than regular food wars
good video☺️👊
UK dominos is just so expensive even with the permanent deal and offers, local pizza places are everywhere and they're almost almost always far better than dominos and half the price
Thank you Joe for standing up for Texas.
Im new to the videos how do they go about filming these?
Absolute Banger
"why what?"
Sausages are also known bangers in the UK. Bangers and Mash? No?
6:10 Ironic because this was uploaded after the Food Tours Philly Cheesesteak episode
Pretty much the same reaction in either country. 👏😅
U can get Philly cheesesteak in uk
Joe, don't blame us for the Tuna Supreme. It's just a take from pizza al tonno in Italy.
9:34 Joe's about to turn into Dave Portnoy with that "One bite"
truly bizarre moment at 6:18 where Harry saying he’s never eaten a Philadelphia cheesesteak before when we saw him try about 6 of them in the latest Food Tours which obviously was filmed subsequently but somehow uploaded first, was interrupted - and i’m not joking - by an ad for Dominos!
The UK meteor pizza is a 10/10
Do Taco Bell foreign exchange next! I want to see Harry try out the Doritos taco and the Baja blast
Man I’m craving pizza so bad
Double Decadence still in the UK? When was this recorded?
9:25 Bangers in the UK mean sausages, which is why there's quite a few sausages on it.
Good sauce will save any pizza really. I always prefer plenty sauce
I need to know what you did with all the left over garlic dip and can you deliver them to me. That sauce is elite
16:12 joes comments man i cant lmaooo
i work in domino’s and i find it funny how joe kept complaining about the tuna supreme because me and all of my co workers hate making it 😭
Do people actually order it? To me anchovies are the only fish acceptable on pizza.
@@blackthorn5709 yeah, it’s definitely not the most popular (thankfully) but there’s always at least a few ordered every night
@@orangerhue4168 is this Dominos in the UK?
Does it stink up the shop? I guess you don't get a lot of walk in customers but it would be kind of off-putting to go in to order pizza and smell cat food.
@@michaelhawkins7389 yeah
Watching joe choke down that tuna bite was great.
To everyone who sees this comment, keep pushing in life and never give up. Can't wait to see you successful one day and May God bless you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
21:36 Please tell the editor that Adobe Podcast isn't the best way to get rid of reverb.
Joe I agree with you I moved from Norway to the UK and I don't like the sausage it's something weird and Herby about it
I grew up with hotdog like sausages
