One of the small chains in the UK worth mentioning is Allen's. They seem to mainly be around the Manchester area now. But it was founded by Ray Allen, the guy who brought KFC to the UK and opened the first KFC outside of the US. He created Allen's thinking a home-grown brand would work well in the UK. KFC notoriously changed their recipe. I wouldn't be too surprised if Allen's is closer to the original. The chicken is certainly better, imo!

Costco in the UK also do a double chicken sandwich, although it’s not great.
Slim chickens is another great UK one that seems to be popping up everywhere and their chicken is amazing
Slim Chickens is an American one too, it’s been brought over here. I’ve only tried it once and it was ok… not a patch on Popeyes but I’ll give it another go 😊
You should try American fast food chains in Argentina, here we do everything in triple, quadruple versions, even kfc's chicken sandwiches are bigger here.
We do have the “chicken little” in a UK KFC. Its called a mini fillet burger. It can be brought on it’s own or in a kids meals.

I was distracted by Harry's nails and Joe's shirt the entire time, but Popeye's has the best chicken sandwich in my opinion. I think I'll get one tomorrow with bacon and cheese.

The chicken breast sandwich at Supermacs (Irish fast food restaurant with one restaurant in Northern Ireland so technically UK) is fantastic. A succulent piece of fresh Irish chicken with a good bit of sauce. Highly recommended.
And their chicken nuggets are better than McDonalds😊

Those Carl's Jr sandwiches aren't available at Hardee's. The most expensive chicken sandwich I could find on the app at a 2 local Hardee's was the:

Burger King has another chicken sandwiches ..it’s called the Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich..they have a Spicy, Bacon Swiss or BBQ bacon and Cheese Chicken Sandwich..this is in the US

@@seventhepiphany To add on to this, it is likely anything touched that they don't actually eat is likely shared with producers who don't mind the fact it's been touched, and as far as the ones they actually try, they likely bring it home to eat later (I heard one of them say "I will be finishing this later" or something like that once)
They pulverize them all together in an industrial blender and inject the resulting chicken juice. This gives them magical abilities such as anal fluorescence and penile fingers. The rest of the crew get insanely jealous.
I love fried chicken sandwiches with cole slaw and goat cheese and mustard and pickles. They're a totally new thing. Awesome.
I’m the biggest fan of food wars for so long I eat lunch and watch foodwars everyday during the weekends and during all of summer. Joe is my hero 😅

The expense (in the uk at least, can’t comment for the USA) is mostly linked to good quality ingredients as opposed to weight etc
Just have to say the best is the POPEYES BETA CHICKEN SANDWICH. Yes thats right, there was a beta test of the chicken sandwiches. Before they were available to the public it went though a few changes. I am lucky enough to know owners of a franchise. Every day he would let me try one, I filled a bag and brought them to my closest friends before release
So the original popeyes beta chicken sandwich! Brought me to tears. The chicken piece on the inside was MUCH larger (yeah I know it's chonky now but was way bigger), the bun totally different and the pickles were better and thicker. The spicy version got spice from the chicken patty itself!
Then as release date kept getting closer they skimped to the smaller chicken piece and the bun and pickles changed.
Lastly the spice got changed to come from the spicy mayo to simplify the patties to just one needed.
So to anyone lucky enough to have tried the beta edition before the public like me, then you know.
To those that didn't just know it was like 10x better than the one your getting. And I can never have another one again

we had a "Country Fried Chicken" in one town here in NI like 10 or so years ago. Never tried it but it was clear what the intention was.

McCrispy is my favourite. It is fantastic with sour cream and chive sauce
Here in the US Burger King recently had "International Chicken Sandwiches", variants of the Original Chicken Sandwich in American (tomato and yellow cheese), Mexican (spicy queso and jalapeno), and Italian (mozzarella & marinara) variants. We also recently started calling McDonald's Chicken the McCrispy. In fact, that happened while I was on vacation in Australia who call them the McCrispy. Also, we have two other chains in the US not seen in this video, Sonic Drive-In and (again, depending on where you live) Checker's & Rally's.
There's also Zaxby's and Roy Rogers as other chains that cover significant portions of the USA.
Burger Kings has done “international” chicken sandwich promotions sporadically for like 3 decades now
In Canada, McDonalds has spicy chicken versions and breakfast sandwiches with chicken.

You really should do this with beef patty burgers as well, would be interesting to see who gives for example the closest to 1/4lb after being cooked.
the 1/4lb refers to the raw weight, places higher in fat will lose more, but often taste better.
2:57 Nando's actually has 40 locations over 5 US states. And they do have sandwich options, looking at the menu they appear to have a comparable option.

The Carl's Jr Charbroiled chicken looks and tastes like it came in a vat, I cannot explain why I find it so delicious.
Talking of "copycat" chains, in Portsmouth, UK we have a chain called "Ken's Fried Chicken" so it has the acronym KFC legally.
Abysmal offerings at KFC, McDonalds and Burger King in the UK and USA. In Australia we have 8 (+2 wraps), 6 (+3 wraps) and 10 chicken burgers (sandwiches) respectively. Carl's Jr. is about the same as the USA with 5 burgers (although not the same flavours).
Never heard of Morleys, and i remember the BK chicken royale with cheese being absolutely epic, haven't had one for a While, so im disappointed to see it last 😢
Morley’s is almost only in London. Seems like they still haven’t discovered that there’s more to the UK than just London.

Underrated Chicken Sandwich is Bojangles Chicken Sandwich but I'm glad it's not in California.

Also Carl's Jr is West Coast where everything is more expensive. That's why. If you went to Hardee's instead the prices would be a lot less for the same sandwiches

Appreciate this chicken sandwich comparo, especially since the options here are stark (only Wendys, BK and McDs) and our KFC has yet to reopen. I tried buying Tyson's frozen version of chicken sandwich but it was awful. I can tell when chicken sandwiches taste "generic" or low quality.

The only time I had a double chicken sandwich(I'm on LI NY) was when Nathan's(yes the hotdog brand/chain) had them for a limited time on their menu. It was way too greesy and hard to eat.
