hmmm! good job!!! also "/" can isolate your selection .. no need to press "shift + H", to delete an unused material or other "orphane data" , juste go to file->clean up->unused data bloc. or go to the outliner, select Orphan data, and clic on "purge".
When I learn more about Blender in six minutes of your video than I have from hours-long tutorials from other RUclipsrs, that's good stuff. Great work, and can't wait to see more guides from you.
Can I give you a tip? When making these kind of vids, go into Preffs/Interface at set your Resolution Scale to 1.5. It will make the Blender interface far easier to see. Esp useful for mobile users.
This entire video was made as an excuse to use the "default tube" pun. You can't hide it! haha Awesome content, man. I've been using Blender for well over a year now and I was aware of most of these tips, but the "Delete Material" (@3:22) one was golden! I'll finally having cleaner project files from now on. Thank you!
Great tips from real pro. I never bother more than just extrude and knife, now I'll try more of bevel and even make myself some pipes! The orbit shot is a great idea, normally I'd just animate the cam but this trick is much simpler to use.
For deleting materials - You can also enable material utilities add on, which lets you right click (or shift-Q) your object and clean all slots (delete all materials) Really helpful if you pull models from games and they have a lot of disorganized materials that you want to replace
Blender deletes unreferenced stuff (with a 0 in front in the interface) when you save the file. Basically, it doesn't save them into the file, so when you reload it next time it's gone. That's so you can unhook it from one object and connect it to another object as long as you don't exit Blender in between.
for anyone struggling, after merging at center press E to extrude as many times, then cntrl+b to bevel, if that doesnt work cntrl+shift+b and scroll the mouse wheel to round the corners
Very informative. I know some of them but for most you use a different process than I always do and you definitly change my mind on them. Hope to see your next video soon 😀.
Really good video, even though i knew all of them. Here some more helpful short keys: 1. If you press the bottom key of the both next to return (I call it that, because letter, sign etc. may vary), you can hide everything but the model wich you selected, works also in edit mode. e.g. If you model in edit mode, but another object is blocking or disturbing your view, you don't have to go back to object mode and hide the objekt. But you have to use the same key to make them visible again. 2. Shift + S you can move your cursor ar object with or to the origins. Pretty helpful to getsome more precision and speed moving some objctes up. 3.Press the point key to transform your pivot point. Also saves a lot of time, so you don't have to always go to the top tool bar. 4. Komma to set the orientation of the transforms 5. If you use a menu very often like the one for merging (M) use the numbers on the numpad to faster select the needed command; e.g. if you want some vertices to merge at the last one just press M and then Num 5. The numbers are just telling wich command you want to execute (counted from top to bottom; less useful with large menus like ctrl+e). These are just some that are popping up in my mind right now....there are more, but i can't think of them rn.
Slash isolates the object and it will not work if you want to hide the vertices of a same mesh but Shift H will work in that case. Slash key is good for objects.
Did anyone else realize that at 2:41 Instead of saying "Shift H" he accidentally said "Sh*t H"? (NO HATE!) Thanks for the hard work that you do to give us this video
Sir i saw your video for the first time and i really liked your content. My dream is become a visual effect artist / 3D modeling or animation. I hope i can get some knowledge from your video. Support from India ❤❤❤.
tip(the best one) : always use shift + __ and ctrl + ___ shortcuts to save time which will get wasted in renders anyway tip(underrated ) : always delete the default cube even if you want to add another cube
orbiting camera with parented empty was WOW for me . Until now I use to make circles cameracracked to them and looking on target - same results but waaaaay more husssle
I like the rendering tree tip, but it I would really really appreciate if Blender finally added proper vray/corona style proxies for the pros who actually work with massive scenes!

Yeah, but in edit mode, it doesn't work that way
@@Ivan-pi6ur in deed !
How to add decals?
@@bbrother92 there are no decals in blender like unreal do as a native way. you 'll found many ways on internet to do it . with or without addon

I actually prefer this resolution on my mobile device because it look cool when you zoom the video in and everything is still visible 😂😂
We got to go deeper! "Starts giving tips about how to give tips"
dude that mist setting... *chef kiss* You are the best, thank you!
Thank you! The bevel fix, decal, better trees, better compositing and mist pass were my best...
The pipe method is so quick and easy. I've been using curves, but this is a time saver!
Doesn't work for me, I can't add any bevels
Nevermind, had to set the Affect to vertices

As a non-Blender user I would just like to say thank you for your helpful tips and have a good day 👍🏾
Great Stuff! I've never gotten into Render Passes, but I feel like the Mist Pass is the only one I'll need for now. Thank you!
The best tips ever. posted 1 year ago still the best in youtube

The mist pass one is huge that's super super helpful!

That pipe trick is amazing! So simple but works so well. I'll be using that a ton.
Oooh that compositing window trick is real nice, so sick of messing about with looking at the preview from behind the nodes
So many great tricks/tips and yet 1 hours later I'm rewatching this cause I forgot all of them 😂
I was complaining a week ago about changing the render engine and settings every time I make a new project, thanks to @00:39 !
Very informative. I know some of them but for most you use a different process than I always do and you definitly change my mind on them. Hope to see your next video soon 😀.
bro literally saved everyone here
Nice Tutorial Dude
You can also targeting your camera to an object by using shortcut shift-T and hover your mouse to the object.

2:41 I think pressing the slash key is better then shift+H. Other than that, great video!

and some people dont have the slash cuz no Numpad like me :D
this video is so good, soem of those will save me so much time
