I spent at least three hours learning this video and took dozens of notes. This video is the best blender tutorial I have ever seen on youtube and gives me a lot of ideas. thank you very much!
This is one of those videos that's good to come back to 3 or 4 times a year. Tips that are just kind of neat today but mean nothing to you will almost certainly be forgotten, and you'll be glad you got exposed to them again. For example December is right around the corner and maybe you get the urge to render your own cards for friends and family. Suddenly that snow add-on that would have slipped your mind the next day in June is just what you wanted.
Oh love it. In future we will start blender so you are or first teacher in blender. You make it thing more easy thanks. Good bless you. Great exploring explanation. Can we you your vedios to voice over in our Language in Urdu. For you tube vedio .
1:53 I wish I knew this before I made my last animation 😢 I wanted to change a texture of 1 part of a house when I already duplicated it, so I had to apply this change to every single one... This trick would have saved me a lot of pain; but it surely will save me in the future
I clicked on this thinking it would be the typical background noise, might gain a few tips here and there or whatever... No, EVERY SINGLE ITEM on this list is chock FULL TO THE BRIM of crazy useful things!! Thank you so much for this, looking forward to experimenting with a lot of these tips!!
In addition to all the very useful information, kudos for speaking clearly, not waffling on about unrelated subjects and not trying to entertain with third rate comedy routines.
Been using blender for close to 4 years and that F2 to name tip is the biggest time saver odd that more tutorials don’t use it! Definitely subscribing for that thank you!
Yes, that was a huge time saver when I discovered it. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! Means a lot that you left the feedback too. Thank you!
BEST VIDEO EVER!!! OMW!!! Seriously, holy cow! Please make another 50 tips! haha. I've been using blender for about a year, maybe 2, (as a hobby) and this has taught me so much!
This is seriously one of the most useful things I've ever watched on RUclips. Thank you so much for sharing, it really does feel like 50 tutorials rolled into one!

Literally every tip in this was something I didn’t know, and 75% of them had me going “That’s so cool, I wish I knew that sooner!” Thank you, man. I thought everyone was exaggerating when they were saying “Best blender tutorial,” but they’re not wrong!
Hey! That is very nice of you. I’m still having some serious doubts about it being the best but I really appreciate the kind feedback. Thank you so much and I’m glad people are finding it useful. Take care!
This was excellent. I'm at the Blender-learner stage where I like knowing what the sub-commands do. The Sculpt mode tips ( skin modifier and shape keys )are especially useful in my little area of play. Thanks for the work. You are now a subscribed tutor!
These are mighty helpful (just jumped on the Blender train a month ago). The ones I'll make use of are: #10: Random Transforms [4:57] #11: Wave Modifier [5:27] #14: Checker Deselect [8:12] #15: Random Select [8:49] #38: Dynamic Sky [21:56] #43: Walk/Fly Mode [25:48] #50: Boid Particles [30:00] Thanks a ton!
One useful tip is using Eevee to "bake" textures. Eevee can't bake textures in the traditional sense, but with a little ingenuity you can use it to flatten your convoluted node web into a single image. Basically you set up a simple Plane and an Orthographic Camera with a 1:1 aspect ratio. Position them so that the plane faces the camera, with the edges perfectly lined up. Then give the plane the shader of whatever model you're actually working on. Then when you're finished messing with your model's nodes, just CTRL+SHIFT+CLICK the node you want to render out (such as the whatever's plugged into the Principled BSDF's Color input), hit F12, and the plane will render out to be saved. Note that since you're rendering from a plane, all vector coordinates of node groups that you want to bake need to be UV based.
I found a lot of things I think will help me. The wave idea makes me think I could probably use that for skirts and capes blowing in the wind! I'm gonna try it out and see how it goes.
Okay, I'm gonna have to put this in my Blender tutorial playlist for referencing when needed. Awesome list of tips and tricks my friend! 😃 Thanks so much for taking the time to put it together. I hope you had a fantastic weekend abd you're looking forward to a great week! 😃
Kevin, thank you again for being so supportive! This video took a ton of time to make and waking up to see your comment at the top made it all worth it. Thank you buddy!
Thanks Brandon. Although I've been modeling since the early 1990's I've only used Blender since June last year. Your tips will be very handy, thanks again.
Liked and subscribed! Very useful thank you. Just one of my own tips. You can use Ctrl . (period) to move an object's origin point . Nice work Brandon!
I was pretty excited to watch this video, then you came in and said "and I have saved a few of the best ones for the end" and I'm just out. Its really apparent what's being done, it's a hook, it's meant to keep people watching. So I'll leave this on 0:13 and find something less toxic.
Sandeep, that means everything to me, thank you! Yes it took a lot of time and effort (and researching) to make this but all I wanted out of it was a video that was helpful to people. Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words!
I gotta say it, blender's ux is one of the best on the marketing, not only for 3D softwares, in general. It's consistent throught all the software, it's super customizable, have some features that really bugs me other software doesn't have, like holding shift to slowly decrease a value, or being able to change values with math operations ON THE LINE BOX, I cant stress it enough how useful those are

Hi Brian, that is what I expected for most but it seems like there is always something in blender to learn for everyone. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I am already working on a sequel but it will take some time. Thank you!
I personally key bind center selected to a side mouse button that way I can click things, click the button, and it snaps right to what I selected very nicely
Thanks a lot. For me it was: - Video as Planes - External Image Editor - Bevel Profiles - Color Palettes - IES Lights - Material Override - Boid Particles Some of the others I already knew but it's good to get over them as well, so I can keep them better in memory.
Georg, Thank you for this. It's so interesting to see which ones people found useful or new. I really appreciate you taking the time to share. The Boid Particles is one that I really want to spend more time on and put a more in depth video out on soon. Thank you!

Hi Brian, that is what I expected for most but it seems like there is always something in blender to learn for everyone. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I am already working on a sequel but it will take some time. Thank you!
Yes it can - don't despair!
I personally key bind center selected to a side mouse button that way I can click things, click the button, and it snaps right to what I selected very nicely
Really handy video, makes a great quick reference!

Thanks a lot. For me it was:
- Video as Planes
- External Image Editor
- Bevel Profiles
- Color Palettes
- IES Lights
- Material Override
- Boid Particles
Some of the others I already knew but it's good to get over them as well, so I can keep them better in memory.
Georg, Thank you for this. It's so interesting to see which ones people found useful or new. I really appreciate you taking the time to share. The Boid Particles is one that I really want to spend more time on and put a more in depth video out on soon. Thank you!
