What a weird weird chain of events. One minute you're walking around a mall drinking vodka straight out of a bottle and trying to mack on underage girls, the next minute you're banging it out in the parking lot with cops and then offing yourself. God have mercy, what is wrong with people
Glad no young ladies were dumb enough to talk to this scumbag.

These " young men " toss their lives away because #1 they don't have a life, hence this is where the expression " get a live originated from " and #2 their too young too uneducated to know what their life at 29 and 39 and 49 years could all look very different, perhaps for the positive. Once he admitted to having weed he was detained again. The cop was fishing and he took the bait. It’s his job to enforce the law. Lesson…never admit to having anything on you unless it’s legal. Thank you for the great breakdown.
But it IS legal to have weed.
Also if you're doing shit that's not necessarily bad but is illegal don't do a shit like speeding if you're carrying illegal weed, classic never commit a misdemeanor while committing a different felony

He's walking around with a visible container of vodka, he has weed, he's concealing a weapon, and he's being creepy. I think it's entirely possible he had some shady plans and this whole situation interrupted that. The way he decided to start shooting for no reason and then ended it himself just makes me think even more that there was a lot more that was about to go down had the police not been called to interrupt it. Sharp officer, great work. One glance and he knew his age, intentions, and BS meter was pegging.
That’s crazy, why would the kid pull a weapon? On a side note when I was young 18, 19 it was common to ask the girls age to insure you didn’t flirt with under age girls.
Yep.
I was also stationed in Germany in the Army in my early 20s. And this was back in the early 1990s. In Germany, a 16 year old can go in a bar and order a beer. So, it was always a danger for Joe if he was in a GI bar to assume the girls were of age just because they were getting served drinks. Often the very first thing many soldiers would say to a girl in such a situation was, 'Do you mind if I ask how old you are?' The next complicating factor is- in Germany the age of legal consent is also 16. But for an American soldier, he could be charged with a crime by the Army for sleeping with a girl who was less than 18- it didn't matter if it were legal in Germany or not. So, a lot of Joes I knew (myself included) would always ask, and even ask to see some ID to verify it because they knew they would get slam-dunked by their commander if they messed up and slept with a girl younger than 18 and someone found out.
yeah I don’t get it either. They don’t want you to ask their age but then how will you know
The Muslim community would be proud.
Especially now days, some girls be looking twenty one but are fifteen.
These officers handled this perfectly.
That kid should have just run, no need to turn back on the police officer. That was a stupid mistake from him.... How you waste your life...
Noted. If a cop says I’m free to go and then asks me questions, I should just go.
I’m really impressed that John and Mike even suggested this, especially if you have something illegal on you.

@@ActiveSelfProtection oh I hear ya. I completely agree. Thanks for staying true to the ethics and legalities of policing

This one blew my mind because he actually comes across very respectful.. Even the fact that he asks the girls their age before talking to them.. Training at the range and in a gunfight are two entirely different things and my hat's off to the officer for practicing restraint in the interest of protecting others in the area.
Can you imagine what would've happened if that kid went on a KD spree right there? You would be saying the complete opposite.. the only reason you are praising him for his restraint is no one got injured. Why he didn’t fire, and my own assumption above, is just that, assumption and speculation. I don’t know why he didn’t fire, do you? The video commentary suggests it was because of the crowd around and behind him. Everyone is responsible for every bullet they release.
@@bigtrout alright, let's think this one thru in the shoes of law enforcement. If you are the cop in this situation. And you see the suspect shooting at you. A young drunk boy. He wasn't risking himself (lol nice try), he was risking everyone's lives by not doing everything he possibly could to neutralize the threat. The odds of the suspect accidently hitting someone is astronomically greater than the trained officer accidently hitting someone. Your theory makes absolutely no sense. It comes down to this officer being too scared and unskilled to take the shot, and he along with everyone else was very lucky that day.
@@AnonymousGameWarden who knows exactly what was going on in his head. He apparently indicated he had concern for the crowded background. If that’s true then I applaud him. If it’s not and he was afraid, or just a coward, only he knows. (Unlike the Ulvalde “police”) I’d like to know his department’s debrief stance after the fact and analysis of the video. Personally I believe I would have returned fire when being fired upon, so in that respect, we’re on the same page. But I’ve never been in that situation and hope I never am. Fact is, and as I said before, it’s all speculation on our part and a whole lot of armchair quarterbacking. Having said all that, many times it appears the police response is out of control mag dumps which, if that was his response, one can envision the potential aftermath. So in that I agree with the commentary, lots of range practice with CONTROL over your shots, rather than what we so often see, “spray and pray”.

Opposition to our fundamental American values and principles, and/or objective morality itself, have created a society that is full of individuals doing things like this. Huge segments of society don't respect anything or anyone and they're emboldened by a certain political party that has a very dangerous habit of releasing and refusing to prosecute violent criminals, if not actually supporting and defending their heinous acts. When our own sworn public servants and the supporters of them defend the kind of behavior that cost this man his life, then obviously more and more individuals will commit more and more crime. The idea that we don't need good men and women raising good kids with good values and principles is precisely why things like this continue to escalate. And it's truly heartbreaking that so many suffer and die because so many in society don't make the connection between their advocacy for horrific ideas and behaviors with the results of those ideas and behaviors. Martyring violent criminals like Micheal Brown and Trayvon Martin will only lead to more crime, more violence, more victims, more suffering, and more death. This is just as much a societal issue as it is an individual issue.

19 year old kid walking around the mall with a stolen firearm, drinking vodka and smoking weed. He was definitely up to no good. Unfortunately for that kid, his parents failed him bigtime.
Fortunately for the underage girls he approached, they had the sense not to go with him.
His parents didn’t fail him, he made one bad decision after another eventually leading to the worst decision of all-self murder.
@@jon223 Yes the parents failed him. 19 years old with a sleave of tattoos, drinking at the mall with a stolen gun trying to get younger girls. This gangster culture fueled by rap music and hollywood has influenced this generation for the worst. He was probably on Anti depression meds etc. I feel bad for the kid and family. He looked like a good kid. Sadly he was influenced by negative media and people. His parents should of saw this coming and stopped him from the path he was on. My mother would not even let me get a piercing let alone alone tattoos etc And my Dad forget about it.
@@johnathoncastro that’s a lot of assumptions from a 16 minute video. You know literally nothing about this kids life. Maybe his parents did everything right. Some people are just plain stupid.
@@johnathoncastro so weird how in America you can join the army as a professional killer for the government and be considered a hero, but if you smoke pot and drink alcohol with a tattoo your a bad person, who's parents failed him lol. Most countries let you drink at 18 and consent to sex at 16. Having the stolen gun is stupid tho
The key here is the totality of the circumstances. Not surprised if the outcome. The reckless disregard while approaching the girls, the bottle of alcohol inside the mall (working up courage otherwise wouldn’t have), worried about being cuffed, guarding the bag, etc. Alcohol in the bag when under drinking age could have been in order. Again, who knows what would have happened inside the mall. Hind sight 20/20. Glad no one else was hurt. Great commentary, keep up the great work.
You're definitely right. Your first shot is often your best one. I find when shooting groups that my first shot always results in a 0 MOA group but my follow up shots always increase group size.
Officer : " Okay, you're free to go, oh but one more thing..."

A lot of people sit on their car in front of Olive Garden waiting to pick up orders.
Everyone was lucky on that day.
And hopefully theyll think twice ordering from Olive Garden. Yuck.
Well not everyone...
One officer felt the backstop of passing cars and walking patrons was too much risk, while the other felt the busy restaurant was the perfect place engage at further than average lengths through his own windshield. He probably needs to be riding a desk until his critical thinking improves while the first officer should be promoted.
yes!
I don't know about that.....maybe the officer thought taking those shots was a better risk than the perp running into the restaurant and creating a hostage situation.... In my experience, it can be very hard to predict the future. Just sayin'.
It sounded like the first shot might’ve come from the perp in that situation, in which case the officer was defending himself so it’s more urgent that way. Idk though
No shit, looks like he needs to buy someone a new car that he riddled with his wild discharge too. Unloaded his whole pistol at a guy right at a restaurant. They should make him buy that windshield as well. Guy is way too loose with other people's lives, and taxpayers money, detriment to the force.
@@shanescott8410 And it was the same case in the first instance with the off-duty cop. The first shot came from the perp, the officer was in danger, and was sane and thinking enough to consider what's behind his target. Same situation, two very different reactions.
He handled this situation very well
i remember this… That young man just kept talking himself into more trouble once that cop told him he was free to go he should have stopped talking and left, bro should have just kept running that’s something a lot easier to get away with in court especially when the cop told him he was free to go but he had to make it worse by running away turning around and shooting at 1 officer and then chose to get into another gun fight with another officer, no one told him to do that
Bruh the crazy thing is he told him to just leave even after he pulled the gun

I see too many cops not even THINKING about backstop before they open up, so I'm kinda glad to see that first officer actually take that into consideration in a crowded parking lot area. That first officer was amazing. Exercised restraint and good judgement throughout the encounter, as well as had the spidey sense to call the guy out instead of just letting him go.
I agree, and I don't think it has anything to do with lack of confidence. It would be a mistake to think that a person was such a good shot at the range or in combat drills that they will retain 100% accuracy in an actual firefight. Even with 100% accuracy, you can't know if your shot will overpenetrate the target. The officer who decided that it was too much of a risk to fire at someone who was firing at him is a hero.
Exactly!! John be acting like he some supershot.. lol
100%.
Totally agree
@@perryjohnson7529 I agree, they are at the mall entrance, and the parking lot, AND what is behind those bushes behind Sebastian, the shooter.
Never admit to a cop that you've done anything illegal. He could have just walked away and said I don't have any weed, I don't consent to a search.
Better lesson: Don't shoot at cops.

It’s the vodka
Naw, it's the weed!
Cool ? Yes. Because he already had a shot or two of vodka

That’s genuinely funny
That's insane. Young kid and instead of running away he stops to shoot at the cop. Kids must think its a video game till they get blasted in real life. So quick to throw your whole life away.
That escalated fast! Doesn't even make sense!! Hats off to the officer That didn't shoot because of the backstop, after seeing the gun and being shot at... that's control and awareness!

Gives me chills. Well done to the helicopter pilot 🙏🏼👍🏻
I find it funny how when the cop asks him his age he is going to say 19 but then gets cut off by the cop saying 21
I just realized the cop said it right after
My respect for the officer for not putting other people's lifes in danger by not firing back 🙏 God bless...
second cop rolling up in the car felt no such duty
When you here those magic words "your free to go" walk away.... the interaction is over. Anything more and your asking for trouble.
I agree with the cop on everything except discouraging this kid from asking girls their age. That's very irresponsible, in my opinion. We've spent years teaching young men over 18 about statutory rape and to always ask her age. Young girls are dressing far less conservative than they used to, and it's not always easy to look and guess she's underage.
Amazing that so many officers responded so quickly to the call and got to the Olive Garden so fast. Thanks for the video.

I think he felt rejected by the girls he tried to hit on and then ostracized by the officer and exiled from the mall. At 19, a man’s ego can be fragile. He went from feeling inflated about his worth; “ I have alcohol, I have weed, I have a gun” to the total opposite, “no one likes me, I am alone, I am rejected by society at large.” Big swing. Dramatic result.
Bruh stfu youre overthinking shit youre not some psychologist lol

Keep in mind, he was drunk.
He was on a suicide mission. That day or another day it was going to happen.
I live in Orlando and have been to that mall many many times..I like the fact that the officer waited till he got the peep outside before wanting to check his bag cuz that could of turned ugly if the perp pulled that weapon in the mall.
The cop did make that confusing tho lol
Um, asking girls how old they are absolutely seems like a way to make sure they aren't minors. They sure as hell don't buy "She looked old enough" or "I didn't know"

Great work by the officers, terrible end for that kid. I’ve been at that point before. The idea of taking myself out of my misery. But I never would’ve imagined doing it in this manner. Causing a scene like this. Involving myself in a gunfight with police over basically nothing. I just can’t understand it.
@Blake N The first cop was doing what cops do and being kind to a kid who clearly is just having some problems and did something dumb. Not worthy of going to jail or anything like that. He just did the right thing and was almost killed for it.

Wow I also saw that one before, and that was a most unfortunate outcome! Kid made some bad choices, and in the end paid DEARLY with his life! Sad indeed!
As a rarity on this channel, I feel bad for the kid and his family. I think he just was suicidal and wanted the cops to kill him, wasn't willing to risk going to jail since he had no criminal background. But in the end, his own actions landed him in that situation to begin with. That second interaction with the cop that took place outdoors was basically voluntary and would've been free to leave had he not admitted to having the weed he said he had.
