I remember that Vlad interview... He's STILL eating off the lion king.. His mom was definitely a visionary in playing the long game and not being blinded by the two million because that's alot of money in and of itself.. Love Ambition I still have it on CD single lol.. He has a beautiful voice and for me he made that Chingy track bearable lol he was amazing on the hook.. He was dope in drumline and ATL and I'm super happy about him coming to the "Chi" ... That's a dope show he's helped to make better.

I'm going to be honest, until now I didn't even know that was him singing the chorus in "One Call Away". 😮 That was one of the few songs I liked by Chingy.

Ahhhh bring back the 90s we didn’t have satellite I would always hear about upn and wb networks here in Toronto Canada from word up magazines. Then randomly we would see Steve Harvey on a Canadian station Friday evenings. Somehow we ended up watching smart guy, moesha, in the house etc on a regular basis.
His mom was really smart for doing what she did....Disney ain't sh*t for that one,and because of her move,he's still probably getting paid to this day🙌🏽🙌🏽
YES he does!! He gets PAID every time either song is PLAYED, DOWNLOADED, or when Disney releases a NEW version of Lion King!! He’s MADE way more than the 2 million dollars Disney originally offered him!!
They really could do a Smart Guy reboot and the twist is that his character's child is the 'smart' guy/girl.
He is very talented and a great singer as well as an actor. I'm glad he's acting again, I wish he would do more music as an independent artist. I'm still a fan. Its always been something about Jason they made me crush on him. Now I well definitely watch The Chi.

The WB did the same sh•t that FOX did. Capitalize off the gifted Black entertainment and then shifted promotion to what they call “mainstream audience” or should I say Dawson’s Creek, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Popular, Reba, Jack and Jill, Everwood, Safe Harbor.

How was Houston more relevant than Jason Weaver? ONE CALL AWAY came out in January 2004. Houston didn’t come out until that summer(of 2004). They wrong for that and wrong for not giving him the credit that was due for his name in the title.
I think the main push for Houston was because he was signed to Capitol.

I watch the Lion King before The Jackson's American Dream so I always why the song "Can't Wait to be King" sounded like something Michael Jackson would sing when he was little, later realized because Jason played him in the Biopic. Pretty interesting that like Michael, he would also leave Motown because he didn't get the artistic freedom to make his own music.

Wow! The fact that he was the singing voice of young Simba is INCREDIBLE! That is an iconic part of classic Disney and millennials' childhoods!!!! I love Smart Guy!!! Back in 2010, I watched the entire series here on RUclips. I was literally addicted for a while. Such a cute, yet unappreciated show. They even had the original Destiny's Child in a two-part episode. I'll be honest though, his character as Marcus on Smart Guy made me always think of him as a joke. Marcus was the super corny big brother who thought he was waaaay cuter than he actually was. This video helped me see Jason Weaver as more of a person instead of just a character on a sitcom. There are next to NO videos out there shedding light on him as a person and his career. Thanks for giving under the radar and thrown away by the mainstream artists and actors their flowers Let's Get To The Root!
Glad to hear that Jason's doing well. Usually, with these types of stories, you get a sad and tragic ending. But not with Jason. He's still thriving and doing relatively well for himself. I'm so glad that one of my childhood favorites didn't get eaten alive by the game and continues to thrive till this very day 💙

I love Jason Weaver! I've been a fan since childhood. I especially enjoy his acting. For me, there are only a few actors/actresses that give off this honest, genuine vibe in their delivery. And he is one of them. When he is starring in a movie/show I know it will be solid, at least during his scenes lol. Also, I didn't realize that about Chingy's song. It was obvious who it was to me. But I understand it would have helped him reach new fans and grow his following. This is why I love these videos!
