The fact that they do spindarella wrong i wont dispute but spinderella got her karma because she shitted on the guy took her under his wing and showed her EVERYTHING about djing and she left him behind with no goodbye or acknowledgement and later the guy was murdered and she never got the chance to apologize to that man.. Thank you! I literally had to do this a few minutes ago with a guy who was trying to make me feel guilty about me not wanting to be in another relationship with a man who needs counseling. @Nino Brown I'm sure Jay accepted the agreement because it was fair. I don't blame Spin for wanting a legit contract and pushing for one. She contributed more than just being their DJ so she was owed more respect and better treatment than she received after 30 years.

I did NOT like how they treated Spin, it’s like they went out of their way to discredit her and refer to her as “just a DJ” that was replaceable. It looks like Spin continues to win, while their movie flopped, residency flopped, etc. *insert NeNe meme “You never win when you play dirty..”*I also did not like how they treated SWV on the Ladies Night show, making them “audition”, treating them like they were not good enough to be on tour with them when i would PAY to see SWV but I wouldn’t go see Salt N Peppa for free! Spin was my neighbor. We grew up in the same Brooklyn housing projects. Sweet girl.She even worked in the ice cream/candy/ hot dog truck. I was good friends with her baby sis who we lost to cancer a few years ago. I hate what SnP did to her.

When we talk about Salt N Pepa, DJ Spinderella ought to be in the conversation. Salt N Pepa was a trio, not a duo. Spinderella was with Salt N Pepa when they made groundbreaking music about safe sex and being Black women. Salt N Pepa were one of the first artists in hip-hop to talk about societal problems, especially in the Black community.
They're just jealous. She's the prettiest and probably the most talented. I hope she can get something going and grow even bigger.

I don't think they're jealous. I don't think you know everything you think you know. But I think Salt explained the business angle very clearly. To the headliners, she was not on par with them because she was not a founding member. No emotions involved. She is now free to pursue her own thing. I don't think she realized how much of a blessing that was to be released.

Spin got the biggest win outside of the group by staying book to do things independently, plus she's the best looking one. Pepa bleach her skin and got so much plastic work done on herself you can tell she's fighting a lot from within. Salt just looks shady but always try to cover it up using religion. Spin wins overall.

DJ Spinderella (Deidra) is in the Push It video... She was the DJ in the group on Salt 'n Pepa's very first tour with The Fat Boys. Spin has been there as Salt 'n Pepa's DJ ever since the mainstream public got to know Salt 'n Pepa as a group (a trio). What made Salt 'n Pepa stand out in large part at the time was them having a female DJ. Spin was the first female DJ of a Hip Hop group. A Hip Hop pioneer that inspired many of the female DJs that we see today. Spin DJ'd, rapped and danced with Salt 'n Pepa. Not to mention that Spin was the finest out of the 3 women in the group. Spin deserves her flowers and more respect from Salt 'n Pepa...word up!!!

i know it hurts to be double-crossed by ppl you thought was your family, but truthfully, alotta record labels were already getting rid of DJs that belonged to hip hop artists since the early 90s, behind "not paying for outside DJs when they have their own that work directly for the labels." Spin's position was never guaranteed. I experienced this personally with my own DJ. Spin been around since the 80s. Spin shoulda been preparing for ANYTHING. She shoulda known better. when salt n pepa caught they lil buzz for a minute last decade, she shoulda hopped on the hype and tried her hand at being a female DJ khalid or somethin', nah mean? Reintroduce herself to this generation of music, making HER OWN NAME again.

Tbh, Spin always had the best verses when she was on songs and I feel they were jealous of that. Pepa needs to stop chopping up her face and Salt needs to do more spiritual healing because for somebody who is supposed to be so holy, her spirit is very nasty.
