    tremendous pedal! I just bought it and compared it to my other compressors (MXR, boss cs3 and boss limiter enhancer) and I don't want to overdo it but it is on the same level as the MXR. good compression, perfect for bass, I recommend it!

      Hi..just saw the same comment on almost all the review videos of this pedal. Are you paid to do it?

    great demo! - I need an analog compressor to help warm things up, as I've already got the Hypergravity and that's digital.

      Kim Gauge how was it? I already got zoom b3, complete with bunch of compressor but always thinking if there’s any huge difference vs. analog pedal. Thanks

    At 2 minutes and 47 seconds, you have a sound where the treble are muffled. This is the sound I'm looking for

    Hola! Puede ser que traiga una batería interna? Lo probé por casualidad sin fuente de alimentación y aún así sigue encendido. Muchas gracias!

    The forcefield has low headroom to my ears. Still a great sounding pedal

    Good demo ! But is there any low-end loss ? Does this compressor work with a bass as well as a guitar?

    • @davidgotteri
      @davidgotteri 4 года назад +6

      I recently got one for bass and it works fine, no low end loss, and nowhere near as noisy as some folk claim. I love it and it's staying on my board for gigs.

      @@davidgotteri Low end is preserved. If you have a noisy pickup, any analog comp might bring the noise up a little. If you have a quieter bass, this is not an issue and this pedal sounds actually GREAT for it's price range. If you got budget issues, just go get yours.

    Was the Forcefield designed specifically for bass?

    • @cmvb
      @cmvb 3 года назад +1

      no

    • @borgesguerardi
      @borgesguerardi Год назад +4

      it's a general compressor
      not specifically designed for bass, however it doesn't have any issues regarding frequency rollout something like a boss cs-3 does, so it can be used on bass

    What's the difference between a noise gate, compressor, and an equalizer?

    • @SlavSquatSenpai
      @SlavSquatSenpai 7 лет назад +19

      An equalizer (EQ) raises or lowers the volume of a certain part of a signal's frequency. [ie - If my guitar is too bassy, i can lower the "low" frequencies using an EQ]
      A noise gate cuts off a signal if it's under a certain level of volume, which is controlled by a threshold knob.
      A compressor levels the volume of your signal by changing the ratio of dB your signal outputs. With a 2:1 ratio compressor, you'd have to play 2 dB louder in order to get 1 dB louder when going through a compressor. At 4:1, you'd have to play 4 dB louder to get 1 dB, etc etc. Attack controls when your compressor pushes the signal volume down to the set ratio. Sustain is how long the compression lasts before it stops compressing.
