Currently recovering from spinal surgery, and this was the best beginner video I’ve found so far!
Thank you!
I've been using this channel for a year now. This video was the one that convinced me, it'smy favorite. The 7 day beginner program is excellent when you are creatinga routine. There are also a lot of stand-alone beginner practices and all of them add another piece to your understanding of the how and why. Thank you again for creating this channel.
Is it good for weight loss.
Does this help in weightloss and reducing tummy
This was my first time doing yoga, I recently lost 14 pounds and am one month clean of drugs and alcohol. This was great for me very clear and relaxing, though very difficult for me I fell a few times and couldn't quite make the poses, I will try again tomorrow morning though. Thank you again!
Good luck man. I've also given up drugs for seven weeks now but am still drinking now and again but that's my next thing to give up. Since I've given up i feel like ive been very anxious but have stuck with yoga everyday for the last month. I'm not gonna give up, I'm really on a mission now
I don't know you, but I'm proud AF
great! do another month
=) I read one month and just felt so happy for you. Amazing. Just keep going for it... one more day of sobriety at a time. Rooting for you x
Good luck, you got this. Im so proud of you
As a fellow yoga instructor, I must say, your cueing is so nice. It’s simple and direct. I feel like so many instructors use overly flowery wording to describe simple movements and it can be frustrating not knowing what they mean. But you’re very to them point and calm ♥️
thank you!
I've been doing this for 4 days in a row now. I'm 260 pounds, and I'm doing yoga to start training my muscles to actually be active and stretch because I'm not an active person.
This has made me feel better so much since I started.
While I can't hold Downward facing dog, or 3 legged facing dog right now because of my Weight. I still attempt to do them. And I feel absolutely amazing.
Thank you for this video 👏👏
Update? How are you doing?
Keep going! You’ve got this.
I had horrible shoulder and lower back pain due to my job. After a month of constantly following your videos my pain has dissipated. You can't imagine how grateful I am
thank you so much for sharing, I'm currently dealing with the same kind of problem, and it is really encouraging to hear something like that :> have a good day, mate
This was a serious workout man, My shoulders and arms are pumped like I lifted weights.
Trust bro maybe worse than weights
Bodyweight is a different animal, especially when you master your body. Everything becomes flow..
😂😂
Just wanted to say thanks, I’m 25 male been clean off drugs for 3 months never tried or even thought about yoga until today found this video very chill guy explain very well i feel much better already and it’s my first time! Thanks dude
I’ve had a really hard time getting into yoga because every RUclipsr recommended to me was a thin beautiful woman and it was really affecting my self image watching them do these effortless poses… but I just did this entire sequence with you and I feel so good! I’m so glad I found your page!
That's why I am here.
Girl, do NOT allow the "skinny Barbie Yogis" come after you like that and get in your mind! I still can't do the splits and so don't care, nor am I a size 2 either, guess what, "BEAUTIFUL, YOU SHOULD KNOW I THINK YOU'RE F*****N BEAUTIFUL ALL YA FLAWS ARE PERFECT YOU SHOUL LET'EM SHOW, THE THINGS I LOVE THE MOST I DON'T WHAT YOU SEE BUT I SEE ALL OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL YOU DA BOMB DON'T LISTEN TO THEM STUPID H**S WHO TRY AND BRING YOU DOWN CAUSE THEY HAVE TO BE BLIND NOT TO SEE IT" 🎶... That's what yoga is for mindfulness, you got this, You showed up, and that's what counts!
I really appreciate the lil comments like "if this pose is too difficult, maybe try this, your choice" and specially the "thank yourself" bit in the end. Thats what makes me keep coming back 😊❤️ thank you!
Without any exaggeration this is by far the best yoga channel I've came acros. Thank you
Im less than 10 days off drugs, still trying to get over covid and I woke up today eith the urge to get some mobility back and stop this incessant back pain at only 24. I hope I see this comment in the future and am a abetted man because of these lessons. I aim to do this every day if I can!
Hey how it's going bro? 💪
Hey how is the sober life treating you?
Dude the way you describe downward facing dog, is the first time I’m able to do downward facing dog after doing yoga for about two years. Seriously you finally put it into perspective for me about the shoulders. Thank you very much.
Hello Breathe and Flow. I am an 18 year old male. Used to love sports, running around, using my body. Overtime I became insecure because other people shamed me for my body, my muscles atrophied due to sitting all day, my feet became painful and deformed from tight shoes, my joints were strained from trying to force a workout in the gym like all the other boys were doing, and I was mentally depressed because I watched my body go through this knowing that something had gone terribly wrong, and I was better than all the things people made fun of me for.
I had to let go of my ego telling me I was not a “beginner” at anything to try this video, especially not at 18 years old, which should be the prime of my life as everyone reminds me. But I’m tired of listening to others so I decided that repairing and reuniting with my body is more important to me than what other people might think. I made it a routine to load up this video on the tv and practice in the middle of the living room soon after waking up each morning. I have been practicing for a week now and while I struggled the first few times in some of the poses, I am more comfortable now, my coordination is better, my breathing is slower and deeper, and I can feel myself reuniting with my body for years. It is a truly magical feeling like coming back home. I chose this video over others because it means everything as a male to have another male role model doing the yoga instead of a woman. No disrespect to the female yoga channels of course. But you are similar to me, you speak softly and are a male role model worth looking up to for your guidance. So I would like to thank you personally (man in this video) for being a wonderful role model and creating this video and channel. When you create something you cannot predict whose lives it will touch. This creation of yours has touched my life and is helping me heal. I am grateful to you for this. Thank you and have a wonderful day if you happen to read this comment entirely ❤️
Done this easily over 100 times now. Love how it makes my body feel after. Thank you!!
No ads!! Thats huge!!! Thank you! Just resatrted to do some excercises. It was a good start. Ty!!
I have been doing this off and on for two years. I certainly notice when I miss it for a few days.
Although it’s difficult to make time and a day this has got to be the most important 20 minutes. Set you up for a great day.
Thank you sooooo much for not putting ads at the end of your videos!! There’s nothing like the feeling of sinking into a meditative shavasana only to be interrupted by Starbucks yelling at me to buy a pumpkin spice latte 😩
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
You make it look so effortless, it's super difficult though, but love it! Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks so much, you will do some day, keep up the great work!
I just did it and yeah he made it look super easy 😂
Whoever stayed to the end is a legend. The last pose is what made me subscribe. Perfect cool down. Something a lot of others leave out
I love the liner " investing in yourself". I recall hearing years ago "habits of the mind". makes ya think
My first experience with Yoga. Thank you for this wonderful initiation. You got yourself a new sub.
I am so glad I found this video
It's exactly what I needed. The right to level, the right time ( 20 minutes) and not to easy, not to difficult.
After I do this my back is grateful.
I return to this video over and over.
Your relaxing voice is a big plus too.
Thank you very much
This was great! I started practicing yoga in January 2024. I used to deal with a lot stiffness, tension and often pain all over my body and after I started slowly incorporating yoga into my routine, I have gained so much mobility and flexibility that I never thought I could achieve. As a beginner, this routine feels a little fast paced to me, but it still feels great after completion and I know that a lot of improvement comes with more practice. Thank you!
I love how you explain everything! I had a great practice! I can feel the challenge and I'm not fearful about getting hurt because you explain the pose so well! Thank you! Namaste 🙏 ❤️
I need more like this, it’s not insanely difficult but challenging enough to break a sweat and make me shake a little without being daunting
Tip: get a mat
my knees hurt as i am doing it on the floor .
They will get stronger over time :) Great job doing the practice.
Everything hurts tbh. Hoping it gets better
or you can do it on a carpey
I cant really buy a mat right now so im just using a pillow to save my poor knees, that works great too!
@@musicblack8converse it will! :)
I've been wanting to try to get into yoga for months if not years. I just couldn't find a teacher / channel that fit with what I was looking for. But this is the one. Just finished this session. It was a real challenge for me and I enjoyed every minute. Thank you very much.
2021 has been a really tough year for me. Seems like everything has been going wrong. I’ve had some serious medical issues in the past few months. I’ve been in pain nonstop for the past two months. With COVId going on. It’s hard to see any specialist. I have to wait til January before I can see anyone. Severe depression, anxiety, insomnia has taken over my life. I don’t like taking medications but I really considered taking some antidepressants to help me thru this tough time. But I started looking for alternatives. I’ve tried meditation but my mind races too much. Then I found this channel. I never tried yoga before but I tried it out and wow what a difference it has made. The movements are simple but challenging at the same time. When I’m doing these poses. My mind focuses on balancing my body. It has truly helped me. My mental health has improved dramatically since I started it. The pain that I was experiencing has also went down a lot. I just wanted to come here and say thank you Flow. Your videos have truly helped me thru this tough time. For anyone out there who is going thru tough times. Please try yoga. It’s a life changer. Thanks again Flow.
This was awesome. Like most of us I've been stuck in isolation fretting as I've felt my strength and conditioning plummet. I tried your Yoga for Men episode 1 as an antidote but was destroyed after 5 minutes. Thankfully I found this episode, which is a perfect reintroduction to yoga for my current level. Thanks for your channel and your expert vids and instructions!
i made exactly the same mistake haha 5 minutes in i thought this must be an advanced workout so glad i have now found this!
Glad you made it to the channel and let go of the ego to find this class. Glad it works for you and welcome again to yoga, it has missed you. Thank you so much for your support ❤️
Yes, 100% agree with all this. Doing this video every morning.
I'm in my mid 40's & this was my 1st time trying my hand at Yoga. Loved it, I will have to work this into my repertoire. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Thank you, this is my first day after a weeks medically assisted detox from alcohol, I was pretty shaky but stuck through it. My addiction specialist doctor recommended you and I can see why.
I'll be back again tomorrow morning for sure!
This is my first time trying yoga at home as part of my anti-anxiety routine, definitely adding this video to my daily schedule! Also holy workout, more men should know about this channel!
At first I wasnt sure about his voice but now its really soothing
Thank you for this. I'm recovering from Covid and this is a nice way to ease back into exercising (I'm a crossfitter). Still feel a little week, but I can feel my lungs get stronger.
i hope you feel better and fully recover from covid. Good luck!!!
First rule of crossfit..... tell people you do crossfit.
I've been doing this for 1 week, can honestly say I have felt great improvements in my whole body..I'm 47 never done this ever and wish I started years ago.. my old-ish bones thank you!!
I give my thanks to you for helping all of us here to change our lives for the better!
Absolutely love your content and what youve done with your life man. This makes me extremely peaceful and happy. Namaste from India.
This class was a perfect morning session! We loved that it was 20min, not tough and covered the whole body. Thanks Flo!
I did this and haven’t done yoga for a few years. I’m stiff, always tired and feeling out of breath lately. This session completely opened up my breathing. I feel more relaxed while it was hard bc it’s been so long, I feel good. Thank you I will keep doing this and follow your sessions.
This is how i start my day, every day, I’m 55 and took up yoga just over a year ago. With all the gyms and classes closed your videos have been my life savers for my body and mental well-being.
so awesome to hear! highly recommend you check out our 7 day program which is the same level as this class. the program is called EMBARK! ✌️
Thank you my friend, consider it done.
Right on time for my morning yoga. I haven’t slept because of pain and am grateful for your videos. I missed a class w you two at yoga@cindy’s and really hope to meet you two one day. For now, I’m so happy you’re doing the challenge that starts on Jan. 6th. Forever grateful and wishing you two beautiful adventures and love.
Awesome job doing the practice at home today! We both teach almost every day at yoga works palo alto. Check their schedule and come practice. Say hi :)
This is my favourite yoga routine, brilliant all rounder. Your instructions and break down of the positions is perfect. Thank you.
I recently discovered this channel and I absolutely love it, I used to do yoga years ago and when I start making money I forgot to take care of myself now I have alot health issues I easily stressed out andI have to learn to let go and meditate and calm down and take care of my body just notice the last 30 days doing yoga and meditate help me
oh my god. i grew up the son of a yoga teacher, but am now in my thirties and haven't had a practice in YEARS. thank you SO much for this. i feel better than i've felt in weeks. will be doing this every morning from now on.
This is the first time I've ever tryed yoga and not gonna lie, that was way better than i expected
that was a great video thanks
the fastest 22 minutes of my life, so beginner friendlyç Much appreciate
Day 2 checkkk it felt easier today than yesterday and I am more relaxedd. All the tension in the muscles got released. Thankyou breathe and flo for this video :))))
It’s more intense than beginners but I am committed to this. Thank you both, I am trying to pass this first one, marked others to follow. ♥️⚜️
This was a good ease back into practice after taking two weeks for Christmas break. Time to get back into it now 👍
Awesome!! Welcome back and happy new year.
I’ve had lower back issues. Getting older. I find these sessions are much more beneficial and engaging than the exercises I was given to strengthen my back. Getting flexibility back. Enjoy these lesson immensely.
Thanks
20 days of quarantine means i will be watching a whole lot more of your videos. Thank you. I will be doing this regularly now.
That is the right attitude :) Thanks for your support!! Once you feel like it try the 28 day IGNITE yoga program we have here on the channel.
"Feels good, doesn't it?"
My inflexible ass:
*grunting* Oh yah! It's... It's great!.... Never felt better!"
haha, breathe in, breathe out, it's all good 🖤🙏
Hi I only could last 10 min .. first day I felt great afterwards!
I Iove this comment 😂 I’m going to try it later and I already know this will be me
😂😂😂😂
If it does not hurt your not doing it correctly
Just started today!
What a wonderful & easy way to learn basic yoga. Thank you B&F
Thank you for practicing with us ✌️
I'm working alot of core things into a new workout and do yoga on the side of cycling and weight lifting. As a bulky, 5'8 200lb guy this is excellent to stretch everything built from weightlighting.
This is very explanative and he actually shows where to place weight when in a pose. That's the difference........ great job
Your video here has really helped my body with my lower back problems. Your videos are forever my morning wake up into the day. Keep up your hard work. You're literally saving bodies/spirits like myself and many others.
Namaste
I am quarantined due to the Coronavirus. This was an amazing video. The instructions helped me get the most of it
Glad you enjoyed it! Keep it up!
Same, I never thought I would do yoga I just finish working I needed to stretch so I gave it a shot I kind off like it
This was great. Never done yoga before, started doing this about a week ago. Loving the relaxed feeling i get from this afterwards
I sprained my ankle quite badly and was very sad I could no longer do yoga. After two and a half weeks I had become more mobile but I was starting to have sticking points in my mobility. I tried this class and was able to get through it with some modifications, and have been doing it almost every day for the last week. My ankle mobility seems to increase little by little after each video! Thank you Flo for helping me to heal myself :).
This was my first time actually doing a follow along yoga video, because I'm mainly browsing instagram. Thank you for this video. It helped me get over my anxiety of actually starting, I'm looking at your 7 Day Beginner program. I'm so excited!! I'm looking forward to starting my days with yoga.
awesome job trying it out! you'll like the program ✌️most importantly, be patient with it all! ✌️
Great beginner session, I have done it three mornings in a row. Thank you :-)
You're so welcome! Great job
That was an amazing morning stretch, I love the detail.
Thanks for doing the work!
if your looking for a beginner yoga video, this is the one! this is the only one i have been able to keep up with and have actually finished in one sitting (and enjoyed!)
try our EMBARK 7 day beginner program!
57 years old and trying yoga for the first time. I’ve been only doing the first class for two weeks and it’s amazing. I actually did some of the stretches prior to playing a baseball game and I felt great after playing (which hasn’t happened in 15 years of playing adult baseball). Thank you.
Awesome job! Do our 7 day EMBARK program. You’ll love it if you like this class 🙏🏽🖤
Thank you, this was really helpful, and it’s a perfect way to be active on my regular workout days off, very relaxing, not extremely hard!!!! 100% recommended/m/
thanks for doing it. check out the EMBARK yoga program for beginners which we just launched on this channel!!
So Jim stopped pranking Dwight and moved to a better and more self-aware lifestyle. Good for you, Tuna!
Jim got way cooler
Holy crap. I followed this video the first time a few weeks ago and I was huffing and puffing, sweating.. Then started doing your other videos, some of the longer ones, just came back to this one and it was an absolute breeze! I can't believe what a difference a couple weeks has made. Thank you so much for these!
This is a wonderful routine for beginners...great instructions throughout...
A new favourite❤
This is my second video with you. You have great unique routines and an excellent instruction style. Has really helped me pay attention to my technique!
Awesome, so glad you find the classes useful
As this being my first time, was I the only one asking, why am I sweating so much with these little movements😅😅 damm this was HARD!! Well at least day one done, let's aim for day 2🙌🏾
Don’t worry when I first tried this style of yoga I was a puddle at the end of EVERY style of session ! It gets easier tho, believe in you 😊
Just the practice I needed to celebrate and center on my 40th birthday! So much gratitude.
I did this video couple of days ago because im trying to better my mind body and spirit and the vibe he give off is TREMENDOUS, ima keep doing this every day. THANKS AND GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE MUFAKAZ
My body stiff as shit 😂😂 I needa do this shit 3 times a day 🚫🧢 great video!
I can't touch my toes so this was difficult, I feel amazing though :-)
I used to do daily Yoga...and lots of cardio. I developed anorexia and decided just rather than eating I'd just do more exercise. I recovered and I want to get back into yoga. This has really helped. I was scared to do into anything crazy because I didn't want it to trigger old feelings. You're amazing at letting people move at their own pace. I hit Sphinx pose and the rush of endorphins I got was like nothing I've ever felt before.
Just started yoga and don't have time to go in person, so I'm stuck with youtube. This is by far the best instructor.
Great stuff, but I’m an absolute zero experience. And I’m super inflexible, sooo this wasn’t easy hahah
Loved joining you this morning. Was super achy when I started ... feeling less back tension after 20 mins. It was really hard for a newbie like me but will keep practising. Want to strengthen slowly and feel calmer in the mind and body.. Thank you.. glad you were recommended to me by a dedicated follower
For some reason it’s been 10 minutes and I’m still in yoga-breathing mode lmao
Thank you for this basic, achievable flow. I especially appreciate your comments at the end that seemed to read my mind “this pose (laying flat) is just as important as the other poses. Give yourself permission to stay here (in this pose).”
great job listening and doing the work!
Oh, man. This is my third attempt at yoga ever; and it was a real workout! Plus, with you telling me 'beautiful job', I could go all day!!! 😅
When you type in yoga every single video is by a female. Thank you for being male
What is the problem with a female instructor?
@@grimes558 nothing, female instructors are also wonderful, but mens bodies are different (and not often as flexible) so it’s great to see a yogi role model for men 🙂 it helped get my husband into the practice!
@@grimes558 What is the problem with wanting male energy?
For real man, I just looked at his thumbnail and added to my workout playlist
@@grimes558 Also some of the female yoga exercises instruct to actually tighten vagina's muscles, and being a man I found it hard to perform that bit..
Thank you so much. I'm just getting back into an exercise routine and found this to feel absolutely wonderful, body, mind and soul. Namaste.
For me its a really good way to relax and just forget abt all the stuff going on rn. Whats better is it also has a physical impact on ur body. Tysm, great lesson
I've been doing this class twice a week since the beginning of January and it's been ideal for a beginner. The moves aren't too hard and the pace is perfect, thank you.
I'm dealing with a hip injury that is aggravated by external rotation, and this is the only yoga class I've found that doesn't do any external rotation at all. It seems to be doing what I need to strengthen and stretch everything else. Thanks for that!
I’m looking for a RUclips teacher to get my brother into yoga (and out of the mentality that’s it’s a girly thing) and I’m so glad I found your videos.
You’re teaching of correct technique (for beginners when they can’t just snap into poses requiring a lot of flexibly) and importance of calm breathing is just what I was looking for. Will recommend!
Thank you so much
recommend our 7 day beginner program EMBARK to him, that is a great entry. but we also want to say that although you and we know yoga is good and everyone should practice it, we cannot force it upon people, they will discover the practice when they're ready for it. but since it's your brother maybe you got a chance ❤️
Practising and learning from your yoga video's for quite long now.I feel amazing after each session.Stronger and mindful. The one who teaches is an Guru. Prnaam from my end 🙏
So glad they help you. I’m always a student 🙏🏽
I've never done Yoga until today. During lunch break one session, now in the evening one session. Feels good
Love how this just slipped onto the “couple sitting at a fireplace silently” once finished to allow me to do the long shivasna I was in such dire need of ❤
This video is great. I've been doing this for several weeks now. Really clears my head before a long day of toddlers and preschoolers in lockdown. There are other beginner classes on this channel and they are also very informative and easy to follow.
Thank you.
thank you! stay tuned we're launching a beginner program next week!!
Finally a yoga instructor I can take seriously. Thanks!
Josh rogan once described yoga as doing "doing ju jitsu on yourself"
I'd imagine doing both is quite an added bonus 😁
Fabulous practice, is helping me back into yoga after a long period away.
Thankyou.
I love the emphasis on breath for this work and your channel name. Namaste
This is my very first time doing yoga and It´s been amazing. I never tought that I coud sweat so much. It´s been hard but I´ve enjoyed it so much. Thank You.
great job! make sure to check the new beginner program we just launched called EMBARK
This is my first time trying yoga and I felt this rush of energy coming at me at the end🙏
hello, this my 2nd day doing this yoga, and i will do this at least for 1 to 2 weeks.
super beginner here.
thank you for the upload and sharing your knowledge..
spread love
The greatest and coolest Teacher ever! Not to mention how inspiring it is looking at him.
thank you 🙏
You are amazing man. Most clear and to the point instructor I've found so far!
Thanks so much!! I feel very honored you practice with me.
I really enjoyed this! I used to do high energy workouts but got lazy during busy times. Wanting to start again, I felt so frustrated by "beginner workouts" which where - to be honest - way too hard for me. Really left me unmotivated. This video on the other hand was fun, relaxing and just the right amount of challening!
man you are just the nicest guy. your routines make my life better, thank you!
I never write comments but man was does some type of spiritual high, I feel better starting off my day like this. Definitely sticking to this
