I think there isn’t a single “villain” in this movie but it’s the culmination of actions of several people that leads to the multiverse breaking.

Yeah, that certainly seems like what is being set up. Strange, Wanda, Loki(s), possibly What If…?’s Ultron all broke the Multiverse open in different ways. I’d say that makes a lot of sense, too. Any one of these things might not have been enough for things to get out of hand, but the cumulative effect of all of it in a short time was too much for a stable reality. Possibly opening the door in Shang Chi, something America Chavez does, all the time shenanigans in Endgame, and whatever else I’m forgetting all play a part as well. Whatever happens, I’m betting it will be far from resolved at the end of Madness.

One thing I’ve always wondered is how Wanda was able to be Snapped if she’s a Nexus Being. That means for 5 years our universe was without said Nexus Being. Is that allowed/possible?

I really like the idea that because all of time is essentially unravelling all at once, every instance of reality breaking or altering on a mass scale contributed to the multiverse breaking. Wanda's hex bubble & multiversal searching, Strange's several time
eality spells, Thanos' 2 snaps, Hulk's snap, Tony's snap, the time heist, the pruning of so many realities by Kang & Sylvie could have even been the cause. Maybe not just the universe goes through a big bang followed by a bing crunch. Maybe the multiverse is always destined to get too big and too chaotic and is always bound to collapse into itself and create the next multiverse. Having not just 1 person to point to feels better to me. That not just 1 being could possibly have the power to destroy the multiverse, but a collection of beings throughout time, space, and dimension who weaken the fabric of the multiverse until it's time to restart

Why is everyone forgetting Loki? Forgetting Sylvie the Loki variant that actually cause the multiverse to crash by destroying Kang
Loki destroyed the sacred timeline causing the multiverse to come into existence. I'm pretty sure no one else in the current multiverse can remember the events of the old sacred timeline except for the Loki variants who were living at the end of time.
@@robertcollins1763 guaranteed it's not going to be Loki. This story is how our MCU is breaking down. Loki is in a different timeline now. So the story isn't on Loki's situation though he will make an appearance bc multiverse.

You explicitly mentioned that two nexus beings cannot be *physically* present around each other. But what if the other Wanda is in astral form. That could be a loop hole.
Or a multiversal telepathic room?
But the other Wanda is physically touching our Wanda’s face. You can’t do that in astral form. Also, when someone is in astral form, you can see a sort of ghost effect. It’s pretty easy to tell if something is an astral projection, this clearly isn’t an astral projection.

I love everything you said except for the reference to the mind stone, wanda nor Thanos destroyed the mind stone, they still exist in tiny particles and still function perfectly. If anything bringing in copies of each stone into a time where they still technically existed would do more damage than just blowing one up

The answer to "who caused this catastrophic problem in the MCU?" is ALWAYS: Tony Stark. I'm not sure how he broke the multiverse, just that he did.

Most likely destroying the infinity stones took the guard rails off the main reality, allowing many powerful beings (Loki/Kang, Wanda, and Strange just being the ones we see) to start breaking the rules, intentionally or not. This is the dark timeline the Ancient One warned of.
Wait, Thanos atomized the stones in a reality in which he snapped right? So in the rewritten reality in which the Avengers faced an earlier version of Thanos, he never got to the point where he atomized the stones, because he never had them to even use them. That reality just eliminated Thanos while he was in that "I am inevitable" state of mind. So the stones are actually wherever Cap kept them.

I think yall are missing the point of a "Nexus Being". Scarlet Witch is NOT a Nexus Being in EVERY reality. There is a different "Nexus Being" in each reality. In 616 reality, the main comics, it is Wanda. There are other realities who had Jean Grey, Kang, Lore, Odin as their Nexus Beings.
But the MCU doesn't always follow the comics rules right

No one "broke the multiverse", the multiverse has always existed. He Who Remains was stopping all branches, and limiting everything to a single timeline. With him killed, then the multiverse is immediately able to exist, as shown in the Loki finale. It's not that hard guys

Wanda was trying to form a council of wandas.
Similar to the council of Ricks from Rick and Morty, or similar to the council of reeds from the comics.
The infinity stone paradox was solved a long time ago. The power of the stones was just spread out over the entire universe equally. Meaning that the stones still stop the universe from breaking down due to their absence but their power is so thinly spread out that there is no way of getting the stones back.

At the scene where the 2 Wandas meet, the standing one touching the kneeling, at the end of that scene, we can vaguely see the kneeling Wanda started to smile a little bit.
I feel like it was either the female Loki variant that broke the multiverse or it was Steve Rogers when he took the infinity stones back to their proper reality or all of the Avengers in Endgame!

Why assume both Wanda’s are nexus beings? Whichever universe the Wanda variant comes from, I’m pretty sure someone else is the nexus being.

Wanda is the nexus being of Earth 616 universe ... Each universe has their own nexus beings so it was a blunder of him to think both Wanda's are nexus beings... Only one of 'em is hence not much danger cud take place... on the other hand if Wanda and Kang or Jean Grey who r the nexus beings of their respective universes comes in contact with Earth 616 Wanda that's when the all hell breaks loose. 💀💀

How do you know which Wanda is thr variant in that scene?
I am old school. I use the word nexus as in the "nexus of realities". Sort of like when light passes through two slits placed closely together you look at the screen and you will see two Wandas and three Dr. Stranges. No, seriously, you usually see an interference pattern but this summer when you look up at the screen you will see two Wandas and three Doctor Stranges.

I think this multiverse breaking was a group project and an half, and the “villain” of this movie is gonna be the actions the protagonist and supporting cast took. Strange’s multple reality altering spells, Wong’s carelessness, Wanda’s Hex, the Loki’s killing Kang (placing it on both because Loki stood aside and made out with his gf instead of eliminating the obstacle that would cause chaos), Agatha’s failure to stop Wanda. It’s gonna be all of these people’s actions that’s gonna be their undoing, and the poor Illuminati are the unlucky SOB’s dealing with their mess.

I never understood how one nexus being couldn't be in the same universe with another when Kang had a counsel of Kangs.
but that doesnt mean that all the kangs are a nexus being. For example, wanda has a lot of variant, but only the “scarlet witch” is the nexus being.
