- With America Chavez at Kamar-Taj, the Masters of the Mystic Arts strengthen the area in preparation for the Scarlet Witch's arrival with a magic shield and various other defenses. However, her telepathy targets one sorcerer and disables his magic, leading the shield to collapse and allowing her to shred through the resistance of Kamar-Taj.
After she destroys Kamar-Taj, Doctor Strange entraps her within the Mirror Dimension, which proves to be ineffective as she escapes using the reflections. After that, Doctor Strange uses his magic to release multiple hydra heads at her, which she quickly eradicates. Caught by Wanda, America Chavez accidentally opens a portal, allowing herself and Doctor Strange to flee across the Multiverse. Finally, They land on Earth-838, in a futuristic New York City.

Wanda may have been right that she is only a mother who wants to bring her boys back. But when Doctor Strange ask her "What if you reach them? What happens to their mother?". We can see her gets silent because she don't know how to counter that argument. She knows that Stephen is right.
If you are really willing to brainwash and eventually kill your alternate self just to get kids, that's so messed up.
The way I interpreted that silence was her already giving the answer to Strange’s question. She smirked a little, indirectly saying : “I’m going to replace her” or “I’m gonna “off” her”.
This movie was based on nothing, telling us nothing. No plotline make any sense.
But he isn't. He just has to go to a verse where the kids are alive and wanda isn't. Tada. Easy.

I knew there would be two versions of Wanda, one seemingly good and the other clearly evil, the Scarlet Witch. But I didn’t suspect our Wanda, the Wanda we saw on tv, be the evil one.

Don't get me wrong, while she looks so bad ass and her powers are great as Scarlet Witch, I hated the writing or how her character went there.
Sure, they still follow the comics and are cautious cause some of Wanda's portrayal in the comics are also not that good like they made her look like a brat having a tantrum from not getting what she wants. There are times in the comics that Wanda is in the good side, and tends to make mistakes or stumbles when it comes to her powers. Like people have a moral compass but Wanda seems to have a fragile compass due to her upbringing.
@@youngheejin_1227 What you’re forgetting is that there is consistency, the end credit scene of WandaVision shows her experimenting with the darkhold where she seemingly hears her children shouting out to her for help. Like Dr. Strange said, the darkhold corrupts anything and everyone that it touches, and she had it in her possession for quite some time before the events that take place in MoM.
This was a horrible decision to make this movie
this is such a devastating scene.. but after watching the full movie, it doesnt hit as hard and emotionally as it could have, because disney and marvel keep throwing in stupid jokes and light hearted moments to dismiss the destruction and sadness that happened in this scene. no emotional duress, no impactful music, just fight, escape, laugh it off, crack a joke, fight again, crack some more jokes.

It's ridiculous how they nerfed Dr Strange so much in this movie. In Endgame, he went toe to toe with Thanos with 4 infinity stones, used a variety of different spells, even reality manipulation. Here, he spits out a few snake heads. This is why this movie is so unpopular because of the inconsistency in their power scale. The director guy didn't even watch Wanda Vision nor did he read any comic. Ridiculous.

Strange had fought beside Wanda, and more then, most is aware of what she's been through. Strange wasn't trying to stop her from finding her children so much as he was trying to stop her from killing two innocent people in the process. One thing I like about MCU Strange is he's not as morally murky as his comic book counterpart. (Comic book Strange would laugh at the idea of NOT using Dark Magic to solve a crisis level event like Thanos)

Dark phoenix boosts jean grey's powers and without the dark phoenix she's average meanwhile darkhold just gave wanda knowledge on how to use her magic properly... magic that is already inside her.. that's why agatha said "Power isn't your problem wanda, it's knowledge." darkhold never gave even a tiny bit boost on her powers it's a simple book of spell not a power source.

And just think,that Storm from the X-Men has potential magic abilities as well. So imagine Storm with her normal weather control powers plus that of the Scarlet Witch or Dr. Strange. Imagine how powerful she would be. After all one of Storm's aliases is "the weather witch." But these movie makers don't seem to have the depth of imagination to give Storm the respect she deserve. You'd think in 2022, Kamar Taj's cannon would be a bit more developed than the design from the 15h century.
I really wish they'd put more effort into the story because visually this movie was really fun, and this scene is an example of that. The story just made so little sense that while you can enjoy this scene out of context, if you frame it with the entire movie it's cool factor is overshadowed by the fact that it just doesn't make any sense. Like how does Wanda even know about America if there is only one of her in all the multi-verse and she's not from this universe?

They couldve had her contract the big bad in this movie to start off her descent into madness and the end credits scene would reveal that she was begin the whole scheme. This way they couldve saved Scarlet witch for a reality warping nuclear event that woudlve legitimately tied into the Loki multiverse storyline and introduced the Xmen into the main timeline.

to be fair, she is playing fairly defensively here. this is still pretty reasonable. you shot her with a missile and getting ready to do it again? break the missiles. you shoot arrows at her? she just reverses them. just blocks shot after shot and returns fire all while just trying to get 1 person and go.

Wanda was in her grieving stage and she wanted to learn her powers (she said at the end of WandaVision) so no one could hurt again, so in order to learn her powers, she needed the Darkhold (because the book has an entire chapter devoted to her) She didn't know the book corrupts everyone and everything it touches. I don't know why others don't get that Wanda was being corrupted.
Anyone who reads the Darkhold will lose their mind and soul, especially to Wanda whos mentally and emotionally unstable bcs of the traumas. the book easily corrupted her. I know her actions with the book aren't acceptable but it is understandable. Eventually, she broke out of the book's infuence and destroyed the darkhold in every universe so no one can be tempted and corrupted by the book again.

In the comics (house of m), Charles says Wanda can not have children. They did not give clarity on the movie so I am not sure if it’s the same

@@xaoc6084 the Darkhold exist a long time ago before anyone could be the sorcerer supreme, so the prophecy was there before wong. Darkhold meant that the Scarlet Witch exceeds the power that of the sorcerer supreme regardless of who gets the title.
