- Doctor Strange manages to encourage America Chavez to use her abilities against the Scarlet Witch. She sends Wanda-616 back to Earth-838, where Billy and Tommy are horrified by their mother’s appearance as Scarlet Witch. She assaults their real mother and realizes that she has become a monster.
Filled with remorse, Wanda-616 decides to end her madness and uses her powers to collapse Mount Wundagore, destroying all the Darkhold copies across the multiverse and seemingly sacrificing herself in the process.

I found it weird when she said "I would never hurt anyone, I'm not a monster" when she literally hurt/killed so many people to get what she wanted. If she's alive, I hope she becomes a hero again and redeems herself.
When she said it, it was the true wonder coming out.
The Darkhold will corrupt your mind and diminish your true self, it's like the dark whisper in your mind and made her forget who she truly is.
Not to mention the many tragidy and loss lead up to her fall.
So when she saw her children again, she realized what she has done, it was like an awakening for her.
As she was saying that, she realized what she has truly done and all the terrible things she did which is why she stumbles back and stuff
That was the point, she just realised that she did in fact hurt so many people. She realises, what she has done in order to get her children. You can see on her face, that realisation hit her
All villains say that.
She didn't think what she was doing was hurting innocent people. She hurt the shit out of Thanos, but she could still say that with honesty in endgame, because she was morally justified in hurting him to save others. The darkhold corrupted her to such a point she honestly didn't believe any of what she was doing was wrong. You can see it repeatedly that she's rationalizing her actions all throughout the movie. She shifts the blame for attacking the sorcerers temple, and makes a grand speech about being reasonable.
She really does see the other people involved as being in the wrong for trying to stop her from doing what she believed was the right thing to do. To everyone else it's clear she's lost herself and that she's wrong. But the darkhold twists your mind like that.
That's why strange said "not yet" to Chavez who was gonna intervene on the kids behalf. Because strange knew that no amount of corruption would allow her to hurt them, as they were the whole point of it all. And in that moment it all finally clicked. She was trying to rationalize it, but simply couldn't because of the fear in their eyes. Giving her just enough clarity to make the only choice she could to prevent herself and others from falling into that corruption and do what little she could to atone.
Why couldn't they just find a universe in which Wanda died and left kids orphaned for her? That would be a win-win!
P.S.
We even have a canonic version of such "swap" from the MCU itself: Natasha from the nuked version of the Earth found home in an alternate one in "What If".

She has a moment as hero, villain and anti-hero, but she died as a hero because sacrificed her life to destroyed the dark hold in the whole multiverse, I hope she will returned because there has many reason that she's alive related to chaos magic n the dark hold too, she deserves happy ending at least once n I hope she will comeback to avengers or team up with Stephan Strange, n she will find white vision that was got his whole memory's back
I think Marvel’s concept of clearly making a vigilante into a hero, into a villain and then possibly turn hero again is quite genius. Whether they’ve stumbled upon the possibility is up for debate, but I hope they give her a chance for redemption. She of all people deserves it

She was corrupted by the darkhold. After saying those words it was the first time she reflected and realized what she became. Then she broke free from it.
I think you didn't watch the movie properly it is clearly stated dark hold holders have to pay the price someway or somehow and it is never a good power to use for and Wanda's Conditions are one of it the more powerful someone becomes out of dark power the more they lost the control from their sanity and the changes are so natural to realize what they're becoming.
She wanted love, but at the wrong cost. Sometimes, you just can’t have it all. And that is the hardest truth many aren’t willing to accept. You must be content, to truly find and have happiness.

She did so, until she wanted it changed. That’s when she was faced with the truth, which America showed her. Only then she realized that she couldn’t have it all. I sympathize with Wanda, but she went about it the wrong way, by hurting others in the process. The fear in her kids eyes revealed this to her, but then it was too late. Two wrongs don’t make a right. I don’t know, it was hard all the way around, but not the answer in the end.

Wanda was never a villain. She has endured more loss than any other avenger. Her parents were killed then her brother was killed. She found happiness with vision and then he was killed. She was taken in the blip and when she came back all she wanted was to honour visions wishes and put him to rest so he wouldn’t be used but then she had to watch them tearing him apart. The last letter from him with the house showing the future he planned that she would never get that’s enough to break anyone. She had a total mental breakdown. She wasn’t aware of what she did in the town. When she realised she put it right at the cost of the husband and kids she would lose. Then when she was trying to heal she hears her kids call out to her. Say what you want but I don’t know any mother that wouldn’t destroy the world to protect her kids. This world just kept taking and taking from her would it killed them to give her something
So Loki becomes Time, Wanda becomes Reality....are we going to see living embodiments of the Infinity Stones in Phase V?

This is very overlooked but Wanda died the same way her parents did, under rubbles of destruction. Earlier in the film we see she traps Wanda-838 under a reminiscence of the rubbles of Sokovia as well. The fact she essentially killed herself the same way shows that it still haunted her

I haven't seen the full movie so i don't feel I can entirely be critical with accuracy but I have to say when you look at the explainations between the movies and the comics with what wanda goes through, it has a huge feeling of BULL.
All these people and hero's alter their environments with their powers. Wanda's abilties get yanked around by bad writing and rewrites by different authors. It's reality manipulation, no she's got magic, no she's got both. No, wanda's power is really just a wide spread illusion (but when she kills someone and other effects they can't come back unless maybe the writer resets everything but sometimes they do..or don't..., but somehow the argument about her kids just makes them illussions in every case... what.. eh?)
So it blurs the lines between other peoples actions just being egotistical. They view wanda as altering reality and taking away their choices when it's just their own ego and pride that they have decided that's been offended by this vague concept of a 'choice' or some 'freedom' in their lives that she hasn't impacted, and many wouldn't have even know about unless they were told because it never effected them (and originally hurt no one). It's effectively a like woman using a power or science or whatever to artificially inseminate herself (and maybe assign characteristics of her husband to the children on her own). Oh no, bodily fluids werent exchanged, the horror! Sure, there is a butter fly effect down the road as people come in contact with her family life. but so what? People create new and alternate times lines with every choice! Every action! In a way often times it's just peoples own insecurities about them having any power of choice in their lives or their own sense of freedom or ego, and them kicking wanda over and and over and over on a very emotionally personal and primal subject, her children and family. And they do it no matter how hurt or wounded she is. There's no, "Well you know its stark and he's a rich genius who could or has saved the world so let's let him get away with murder-litterally! or help him figure out some twisted way to get him what he wants". Instead of trying to say, purposefully create an alternate world or amp her power to be able to make life this one time and just let the woman be happy, they have to just attack her and wreck everything. If people made half the excuses for wanda they did for stark, she wouldnt be forced down a villan route. But it's as if there's some NEED to push her into this hurt mentally and morally weak female villian role.

He held her head above water after she lost everything, drowning in sorrow, then he died too. She isn't selfish. She's tragic and sad. And she thought the avengers were evil in age of ultron. She grew up in a country that saw the usa as the bad guys. Stark weapons killed thousands including her family and she wanted to prevent that from happening again.

She was evil, broken, and badly written from the start. Basically, every bad thing she did/does is someone else's fault, so she can do horrible things, and we are supposed to feel sorry for her.

@@Ghostrider-ul7xnTommy and Billy didn’t get Vision’s powers in WandaVision, both of them had Wanda’s and possibly Pietro’s but it was all an illusion anyway. Guess we’ll see what they’re really like in future projects.
Billy had mind control and telekinesis like Wanda, he saw Vision outside of the Hex breaking apart in his mind.
Tommy had superspeed like Pietro, if he had other powers however we didn’t see them in WandaVision. Sam didn’t exactly do his homework on WandaVision going into directing MOM so it’s possible he just didn’t bother with powers too.
Elizabeth Olsen the actress of scarlet witch said that the other Wanda and her husband vision had a divorce and she took care of the kids.

this film makes no sense because it was supposed to be released (and take place) only a few weeks after WandaVision, except that now, because of some pandemic, it takes place almost 2 years after (after No Way Home)... the fact that Vision is absent, that she'd rather spend several years finding her imaginary children than her husband (alive this time) to start a family again, a real one, makes no sense! Where's Vision? What's he been doing for almost 2 years? Did Wanda really struggle for 2 years to find Chavez? In short, there are so many details that a few weeks after WandaVision it would have made sense, but almost 2 years later it makes things weird
