Upon it's release, MGS was perhaps the best looking of the time. Beyond that, its contribution to modern gaming is immeasurable. Every game that has a cinematic storyline owes something to this game. Some people can't appreciate that without classic gems, that pushed games forward, their beloved modern games would suck.
I'm not the only one who thought he was fighting on the wrong side when he played Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, I couldn't see Big Boss as a hero as I saw him as a desperate Warrior fighting for his dignity and liberty which is something Solid Snake would later do.
i played mgs 1 when it first released in the EU and i LOVED it liked the storyline and played for 24 hours straight no pauses or anything i was just that into the storyline it was the most epicest game ever and snake became 1 of my favorites hero's i love it when he says the line ''the legend doesnt match the reality'':D
The mgs saga will go down in history and beyond. this game kicked ass back then and still kicks ass today, i followed the them all through to mgs 4 but you can never compare to the awesomeness of the mgs 1
+Andrian Setiadi Phantom Pain SUX! This not deserve the Solid in your name. For me, Metal Gear (Solid style) started on MSX2 and finished in 4 with references, jokes and important plot. MGS V have bad level design, worse history in the series and not memorable moment with any characters.
+relu419 MGSV was good, but not the best for the fans of the series. The game although had very little story or at least its in casette tapes, its good. I loved it to hell. Although not very memorable, you have to agree it had a great chapter 1.
i thought all of skullface's cheesy lines and the extremely awkward moments when venom snake didnt talk were all memorable because of sheer comedic value

if you look now at metal gear solid 4 they still got the best graphics, i just like the style how konami make the visuals, is verry different from games like cod or operation flashpoint but also much better!
