This game for the PSP had a somewhat ahead-of-its-time development approach that truly pushed the handheld system to its limits and took advantage of it in every way possible. This attitude is also seen with the fictional technology of the Metal Gear universe. In this way, Peace Walker as a game product itself was a powerful representation of Metal Gear Solid. This is one reason I consider this to be in of the best games in this series.
***** What are you all even trying to correct me on? Isn't this what I said? This song existed as part of the game Peace Walker, as a background music. Then in MGS V, the song exists during an in-game situation, as a cassette tape, so now it really is acknowledged by in-universe characters, with your guys humming along with the tune, making it canon instead of just background music.
This might have been the best fight in the series. Sahalanthropus has nothing on the Peace Walker battle (and...let's face it he was a lot easier). For the first time in the series the nuke was GOING TO BE FIRED. That added so much tension to the fight itself.

I'm SO glad I've gotten into this game series in the past year. My first game in the series was Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which I found to be one of the greatest action games of all time! However, it didn't quite satisfy my Metal Gear experience so I decided to play all the essential Metal Gear Solid titles in chronological order starting with MGS3 and that game turned up to be the best thing I've EVER played! Having finally gotten to this game, this song speaks to me a WHOLE lot more than when I first heard it. Listening to it now, I feel like crying man tears simply because of how much of a powerful impression the series has left on me so far. Thanks to Kojima for such an amazing game with an amazing story!
Jasonic Raiden You'd be better off if you played the series not chronologically, but according to the release dates. But it's too late for that, now. Glad you like it, though.
lodziklocPL I understand the benefits of playing them by release (gradual improvement of controls, movesets, etc.). Thing is, I only had the HD Collection at the time and, since it lacks MGS1, I had no choice but to start with MGS3 since, story wise, it doesn't pick up off of anything. Pretty soon, though, I'm gonna try MGS1 in the form of Twin Snakes.
Jasonic Raiden Movesets are your smallest problems. By playing those games in the chronological order instead of the release order you simply ruined the "jaw-dropping effect" of those games for yourself.
You do have a point. Playing Big Boss' story first has, indeed, ruined some aspects of Solid Snake's story for me. It's kind of like watching the Star Wars prequels BEFORE the originals. In a way, though, it's helped me keep up to date on the lore of the series, but still, starting with MGS1 (or Twin Snakes) might've been a better option for me.

MGS 3 has pretty straight forward explanation... Yes, the exposition dumb can be a little heavy handed, but it's clear she defected because she was to infiltrate Volgin's group, but after the nuclear explosion, the US had to retaliate and assassinate them, and as to maintain the cover up, The Boss had to die too. There's more to it, but it's basically that.
Well, yeah, that's what the dislike button is for, idiot. Denying people the right to express dislike of something is called censorship, and that is a generally shitty thing. Some people don't like what you like, get over it :) (and btw I love this song, I'm talking about other people!)
alphaprawns Who are you to call me an idiot? I was talking about the people, who are LOSING their time to come HERE and to DISLIKE. That's useless, I hate alot of things that's not a reason I'm going on every songs I don't like on RUclips to dislike them. That's nothing to do with censorship, this is just ridiculous.

@@Kayn_The_Shadow_Reaper MSF is dead, because diamond dogs lack a postal service, the ability to craft a handheld minigun, anti tank rifles, co-op weapons, don't incorporate combat unit volunteers by BB (Big Boss) persuading them to join their army. Diamond dogs ain't MSF.
Impressive and epic. IMO, this is one of the best themes ever written for a final boss. So good that we can listen to it even in MGS5, MGO and Smash Bros.
+Spartan Prime (Halo) I loved this tune when I first heard it, and it was also a great addition to MGSV, but I also loved 'V has to come' from MGSV. That is also an epic tune.

Yeah, finally there was a fail state where the Nuke is actually launched and nuclear armageddon begins.
Just replayed both fights. Sahalanthropus is just too easy. Peace Walker took way more careful planning in weapons and supply drops.
Yeah, but the Peace Walker battle didn't have Ocelot commenting "That's the way" on the comm when you score a critical hit on the mech.

How can people dislike this ?! Are they like "I hate this music so I'll go on this video to dislike it because I don't have anything else to do" ?
Well, yeah, that's what the dislike button is for, idiot. Denying people the right to express dislike of something is called censorship, and that is a generally shitty thing. Some people don't like what you like, get over it :)
(and btw I love this song, I'm talking about other people!)
alphaprawns Who are you to call me an idiot?
I was talking about the people, who are LOSING their time to come HERE and to DISLIKE. That's useless, I hate alot of things that's not a reason I'm going on every songs I don't like on RUclips to dislike them.
That's nothing to do with censorship, this is just ridiculous.
*****
Has it occured to you that they took the time to try out and listen to the song, and then decided they didn't like it and hit Dislike? Where's the problem in that?
alphaprawns In that case it is OK.
alphaprawns You see...most of the trolls on here don't do that but thanks for defending them.

at least your all still alive on my psp and ps3.
theyr not dead they evolved into Diamond dogs
@@Kayn_The_Shadow_Reaper some of them are just wandering around the world lol
@@ezmoney25 some others are inside another world
@@Kayn_The_Shadow_Reaper MSF is dead, because diamond dogs lack a postal service, the ability to craft a handheld minigun, anti tank rifles, co-op weapons, don't incorporate combat unit volunteers by BB (Big Boss) persuading them to join their army. Diamond dogs ain't MSF.
4:24 what a hudge sensation is there !
WE LIVE AND DIE BY YOUR ORDER BOSS
Impressive and epic. IMO, this is one of the best themes ever written for a final boss. So good that we can listen to it even in MGS5, MGO and Smash Bros.
The only way I'll be able to do homework is if I'm listening to this. Makes me feel like a hero

"We live and die by you orders, boss"
Probably my favourite soundtrack from any game I've ever played! Up there with MGS3!
One of the best Soundtrack's EVER !!!
And here I am again installing all the peacewalker mods for my TPP, listening to this...
"Deploying"
The soundtracks of MGS never fail to impress.
Am I the only one that thinks the big battle with Sahalanphropus should've been with music?
+NeoMaxim doesnt work like because *SPOILERS* you have to kill everyone in quarrentine first before you get the cassette tape
It can never ever be reexperienced ... A long ass high hp boss fight, which made you feel like a hero...
BOSS! DON'T DO IT!!
+Lucas Ho I will to make it hard
+Spartan Prime (Halo) I loved this tune when I first heard it, and it was also a great addition to MGSV, but I also loved 'V has to come' from MGSV. That is also an epic tune.
+Spartan Prime (Halo) just use it as a custom tape
“We live and die by your orders Boss!”

It's weird that for ps3 in Ground Zeroes you can upload your own music to the Walkman but not in The Phantom Pain..

Such an amazing song.
Long live MSF!
This piece being the gear-up screen music for TPP is awesome! the nostalgia and phantom pain for what you've lost on the Old Motherbase, your friends, comrades, the idea of Peace, the Angel of Peace, all gone.
If they add anymore Metal Gear tracks for the Shadow Moses stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, this has my vote!
Greatest OST ever
Life goal: Get picked up by a chopper with this theme.
Still Epic to this day...

Una obra de arte para los gamers
WHY DOES IT GO SO HARD??!?!??!
Makes me feel prepped for the day at hand, it tends to get jammed in my head for most of the day lol
Yeah! When this played, I actually felt important while playing against Metal Gear in Peace Walker.
I felt like the entire world depended on me to save it, like I'm this guy who's about to stop the apocalypse from taking place.
I wish I could squat a Metal Gear like the Boss himself
Let the Boss decide -A true DD
Imagine Peace Walker HD on Nintendo switch.. playing co-op with 2 joycons, having motion aim and better ramerate. a man can dream
Good idea
I'm still in a dream
