I love this song ALOT!, but for me I used to listen to Donkey kong country music and draw on the SNES tropical freeze came out and "Frozen Fruits, and Alpine Incline were songs that I was waiting 20 years for- I feel ya
Im playing it on xbox right now(never thought I'd see the day) and I have the MGS 2 and 3 game digitally luckily before it was delisted, now im just waiting fof MGS4!
that echoy sound effect, like wet shoes squeaking on a waxed floor echoing in a wide open and mostly empty room. Did anyone else hear that and think that Snake's boots were wet from the snow and the soldiers were hearing you run around?
When you were young like me (6 years) on the ps1 and playing safe as hell on the tank bunker while feeling super cool 😂😂 I really miss the old games and times ❤️
@@timo_lp9993 Yo, beating MGS1 in a week at six years old is out of this world! The blast furnace death scene didn't traumatize you, did it? It woulda stayed with me in a bad way if I saw that death sequence at 6.
@@ArynBendah I really did and it really took alot of time. I was more scared about this dude where you need to plug the controller into port 2. These were such awesome times ^^
I was stuck for like a month after the part u beat sniper wolf the 1st time an u have to go up the tower …I swear the way the camera was I could not see the door leading to the stairs
Really though, truly yo! I was listening to this at precisely 4:20A.M. a few days ago, after being discharged from the ER at a local hospital nearby, one thundery morning... There was a tall, obese young man doing push-ups and singing in the rain, appearing to be under the influence, in the parking lot. The security guards and local police officers on duty there didn't dare get near him, especially when the individual began shouting towards the rainy sky with his arms raised, similar to Shashank Redemption. I wanted to get a proper ID of this individual, because he looked and acted just like a homie from the 'hood that died about four years ago, may he rest in peace... The guards that I mentioned earlier even stated, "You can't make this stuff up!" NOW I wonder if we all saw an apparition, since no one approached to verify that or at least assist him. I am still slightly haunted!..
Anybody else getting big John Carpenter vibes? Makes sense seeing as Snake is heavily influenced from Snake Plisskin. This theme always stuck with me even over 20 years later.
The atmosphere and vibe of MGS1 really heavily reminds me of Carpenter’s The Thing. Both stories share this sort of lonely, isolating ambience through their visuals and sound design
When I was a kid I used to think Snakes Revenge was the videogame to escape from newyork i remember in the 2000s watching it with some friends and some songs we were like- did this have any influence on MGS!?
@@johngayfer6873 Truly bro, MGS2 also holds a special place in my heart I used to love watching my brother play it. Most underrated game of the entire series ❤️
@@asada4Lis it underrated though? Pretty much everyone agrees MGS2 is basically a masterpiece (although not quite at MGS3's level), the only hate I ever remember hearing was to do with the fact you don't play as snake for 90% of the game. Gameplay wise it was top tier though, and no one ever denied that.
can anyone else hear the clinking sound of the walkway in the hangar? or the sound of feet sliding on the ground. Pistol held up to your right ear with both hands? or are you the kind of person who un-equips when they run?
Yes indeed! I and I utilized the technique of equipping then unequipping the Socom, suppresor equipped, while sneaking accross the upper level walkway, in order to prevent any sound from stepping at all, resulting in a successfully stealthy tactic, by simply pressing R1 in numerously sequenced patterns. This method allowed Me to get around unnoticed after realizing how to master the skill, amongst other useful ones throughout the missions!
@@TheGamerdude125 As far as I know, having weapons equipped actually makes Snake run faster. I've tested it out plenty of times, Snake seems to move a lot quicker while holding items.
Always unequip. It’s a stealth game, choke every solder out or break their neck lol especially when the risk means activation of the gas chamber armory
Whenever I played MGS4 & got to re-live that famous Shadow Moses chapter it was the ONLY place in the game I used the iPod & this song was A_L_W_A_Y_S played on infinite loop. Goosebumps even today.
In case of emergency and not having the original copy of mgs 1 so you look behind the cover for meryl codec the number is 140.15 so she unlock the cargo bay door
I think it's best to let it die. Just like Star Wars. The best MGS was with the OG Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid from a narrative point of view. I've ALWAYS wanted a remake of the MSX2 games of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake. They're good games for 8 bit, just got the play translated versions. MGS2 is alright but gets convoluted, MGS3 is good, MGS4 is... I don't know what to say. MGS5 is awful from a narrative, but the gameplay is great. My favorite is still MGS and MGS Twin Snakes on Gamecube.
Hi DiceRoller, would it be ok if I can use this track for a video essay I'm doing? I feel like the MGS soundtrack will help make it seem like a more dark and serious topic. Thanks so much!
its video game music, you shouldnlt get copyrighted if its on youtube, thats why youtubers use lots of video game music. if you want to actually license it you'll have to ask konami.
Thanks God for the VOL.1 release, i just got mgs1 for 20$ at the xbox store and i havent play it since release, i went up the elevator, trough the air ducts and when i got out the ducts into the hangar 00:00 i almost pee myself with joy and nostalgia 🥲
Nobody who played this game will ever forget this song. Nobody.
I agree, just epic.

This song will be at my wedding and funeral
You are so true this song is truly epic .
It's insane to think that in 1998, I had no idea how much this one song from a video game would mean to me 23 years after... It's pretty good!

This music playing, while Nastasha talks about the history of nuclear weapons, and her Chernobyl story.

Stealthy movements, and a semi-haunting tune, too. Love it!

This song is synonymous with "stealth" for me. Too bad I suck at subtlety.
YES
U gotta learn to take ur time
At least if you get alert mode you can listen to Encounter :)
When I was doing my basic training for the army we did some exercise drills in the hanger it was my metal gear moment..was cool as fook!
