Hello Matt. What a fantastic build. Can't wait to see the finished product. If the next video is the final one, hope you end it with a "Bang". Lol. Enjoy the day. Ray L
Looking good. Im always dropping and breaking phones outta my pouch. Im good for like 2 or 3 new phones a year. Bang on Brother 🤘
Used to have that problem, I get a Beetle case, been years since I broke a phone now.
Nice work. You have almost the exact same toolbelt setup as mine. How you liking the suspenders now? I am enjoying them.
Hey he's back 🤙
It’s like a cathedral dudes. Great stuff
Good job buddy 👍
Nice work 👍
Great job
That is beautiful indeed 👌👌👌👌🏴
Try using an indestructible phone case it works really well
Good shit bro.
2:53 true lmao😂🤦🏻♂️ Bang On🤘🏼🔨
I love that you caught the phone drop on film!
How’s the battery run time on the skilsaw?
Bet it cost about $600 to get.
Gotta love when the phone falls out lol. Many of times
Good video Matt
Me and my guys start a fresh house tomorrow!! Excited to be out of these darn basements!!
You guys mind e-mailing me? I'd love to help you out a bit!
mattbangswoodmanagement@gmail.com
someone get this man a BURKE BAR!!!!
Interesting how you guys have to build out there in CA. We always nail off our subfloors with gun 8s but staple our roof decking.
good work in have done
OMG! I can't believe your blade guard on your worm drive is pinned up. I'm telling! Lmfao
No nails inspection on roof sheathing before felt paper over it? Nice! Last time I have to wait for inspector for 2 weeks.
good work
Good framing. Just out of curiosity; what are they doing with all the water that will come off that roof at the tie ins that you worked on in this video? That's a hellacious amount of water coming to one spot?
I Swear the Phone fell in Slow motion, Funny Shit, Build looks Awesome. You should think about Getting a Phone for jobsite only, one that is Inexpensive, like an old Flip phone. Or a Carrying case with a clip... Lol
“Now why is this true.....because we are in California”
-Matt 2019
Can not be said any better then that my friend
Hi Matt, I'm a joiner in England UK, i make some YT vids & i know what a pain filming, editing n uploading can be, I have 12,000 subs but been watching your vids n your subs are flying up, congrats on that 👍👍 I've been a joiner 36yrs so pretty much know what you're showing but i just like to watch n it's always interesting to see how things are done over there in the US , keep it up 👍 btw I've subbed, i don't sub to many channels, there's way too many amateurs in their garages talking bollocks on YT 😏😁
Nice job bro
What I would give to come and learn from you
Samsung s7 active... I dropped a drill from the top of a 10 foot ladder and only dented the screen
I love that feeling when inspection signs off and cant find anything.
Hey bro , you guys a awesome man, I'll bet you guys just to framing. BTW the project is almost done, I don't see a lot of actions from Q, hope he's gonna be a journeyman after this project
Nice one bto
Which saw do you prefer? The Skil or the Makita??
Do u like cordless makita 36 v worm style or skil tru hvl cordless better?? Overall for every day carry?? I have the MAKITA.. I like it
How do you find the angles and cut them perfectly on the osb board?
I would like to see it finished. Anyway you can come back for a re-visit after they are done?
Hell yes; me too
Will definitely be doing this! Filming a walk-through of the 8-day house build today too.
Phone insurance it's worth it. And can't believe you're not doing the siding that's the fun stuff and you get to make it purdy 😊
Is that 3/4 inch thick OSB sheathing?
Bro loved the work perfect since you guys are in cali also if you could answer a few questions for me I live in northridge ca and I'm doing my own roof solo
MattBangsWoodManagement@gmail.com
Shoot me an email.
Hey Matt if you ever make it up north to Santa Cruz If love to buy you a beer
Matt check out Dewalt's phone case. Clip it to your suspenders. Only $15.
Hey when you put down the t & g was there a step down in the trusses so that you could sheet over the t & g and it was flush or how did you do that?
Yessir. It was set down 1-1/4” so the sheathing would run over flush.
Would it be possible to have a follow up video? Like when it’s done done
I actually just filmed a follow up of a previous build, 10 day house build. Doing another with this later on!
Hmmm Matt is your blade guard on your circular saw pinned back?
WoW my copliments team pannella👍🏻👊🔨🇱🇺
Hi , i love watching your work, you live far away but my house would do with you - hello from hungary
goed werk
Cell phones on the job, its a tear away lanyard or a real holster no sitting them down. You pay to learn. So many times they are slamming nails by eye w/o snap lines or any guide. Sloppy shiners. By the dozens. We have roof valley nightmares on our tile because of low slope and bad undersized underlayments they catch leaves and pine needles ea\ch season. Has to be sparkly clean or big Trouble. I want 24" rubber on both sides under the valley. what flashing widths are your valleys?
Hey Matt how do u make ur skillsaws guard not come back down and stay up mines getting very annoying
Noooo, the phone! I know how you feel man, ran mine over with the reach truck the month I got it 😳
13:10 in the background 😂😂
Was that Quintyn flipping the camera off? 😂
Damn holidays killed your 6 week schedule nice job though God bless
Keep in mind these videos were filmed a bit ahead of time as well. :) It was about 34 working days in total. A few days over 6 weeks.
Can I get y’all to come to Pittsburgh and build my house
Its that little shit on the job that takes forever. This is pretty much exactly what I do everyday, redo other mistakes or redesign on older crap, and most of the time it just plain sux
I have to use the same pain in the ass hold downs in NJ.
Very beautiful engineer am attractive and good video from iran 🇮🇷
Was the truss layout off at 7:58? Is that why the decking had to be shortened?
Truss layout changed throughout this build in a few spots, due to the quad girders that held up the roof system. Not that it was wrong, layout just changed. Intentionally. 😊
Matt what’s up how come you haven’t posted more new framing videos??
How come y’all do the tongue and groove style wood and then plywood? Just curious, never seen that done
T&G is for the overhangs, makes it look good from underneath. Sheathing just runs over the top.
@@MattBangsWood do y'all cut out a notch in your rafter tails for t&g to be recessed?
🔥🔥🔥
when we gonna see Q Cam again :D?
what do you mean by support the youth in your logo? keep on rocking love the vids
I work with kids all the time, bringing the youth into the trades. Whether it be finding job placement for them (I have a large network, finding a contractor to take them in is rather easy - done this probably 100 times now), or donating tools to them to ensure they've got what they need to succeed. I worked with a High School down south and donated nailguns, toolbelts from Occidental, etc.. To make sure they had what they needed.
I'm only 23, so I can relate to the youth that's trying to find their place in the trades..
Just the other day I had roofers chasing me literally. I was like fuck man give me an hour
I'm cool with it, but don't get pushy. Get pushy and things don't go well... Lol
So my new phone I learned doesn't like the flux core welding balls of liquid metal... It still works and I am not buying a new one but it has a nasty tri crack at the spot where the welding slag rolled and stopped on the screen. The last phone didn't like to fall 5ish feet to the ground and the one before that couldn't survive a slide off a car hood.
They need to make a phone for trades people that actually will hold up to mild abuse such as falls... And welding bougers lol
You should give the Hitachi coil nailer a try, I got a few cause I got tired of stopping to load the stick nailer every minute.
They make the equivalent coil nailer, the 83 series, which is hands down my all time favorite.
plastic screen cellphones are the best.
I noticed when you tied in your new roof with the existing roof that you cut back the existing shingles and tied into the existing roof sheathing. Is this important to do because I have watched some videos where people just nail down over the existing shingles?
It's just a quality difference.. I would personally NEVER tie in onto existing shingles.. It takes no time to strip back and create a better tie in.
If you see people going over existing shingles, question the work they're doing..
@@MattBangsWood thank you very much for your help and answering my question. Love your work.
What is a Shiner? 🤔
A miss, you miss the rafter with a nail and it pokes through and catches the light from the inside.
