You know what I love about your channel? zero pretentiousness! the great food that we all love to eat, but don't know how to make. Explained the way normal people can understand and your recipes actually work. Please don't get all bougie as you grow lol...it's your authenticity and 'everyday people-ness' that I and I suspect many others, like about you. :D and, I have that same IKEA bowl set, they're freakin' amazing lol. Thanks from a Quebecois boy who now knows how to make great cornbread!!

This is officially my go to recipe for cornbread. I love that you give alternatives and variations in the video. I also really appreciated a copy of the recipe in the description. I've made it at least 3x. It's simple, easy and delicious.
Cornbread perfection! I made your recipe this morning, and I had hot cornbread and honey with my tea in less than half an hour. I will have more with my rice and beans for dinner! Cornbread is so versatile and nutritious. Simple, easy, and delicious. Thanks for sharing!
I've always been terrible at making cornbread, I started out with a recipe from the circa 1980 cookbook my dad bought me as a moving out present (when I was 17). More recently, since COVID I started trying new different recipes, one from a flour mill, others from RUclips and this one OMG hands down the best. IT was soooo tasty, and also easy to make! Thank you thank you thank you, I thought I was a lost cause for sure

I made this for supper to serve with my navy beans and ham. Only deviation: I used white cornmeal, Cut sugar by 1/2 and used buttermilk instead of reg milk. It was fabulous! My husband was impressed! Thanks so much!🌹
Thank you! First time we’ve had truly fluffy Gf cornbread! Have some food allergies in the house so used Blue Masa- King Arthur GF flour mixed with sweet potato starch- full fat oat milk and Himalayan pink salt. Added a little more wet, but rest of the amounts and techniques were the same as stated. Was the BEST any of us have ever had. Thank you again!
I just wanted to say, I made this recipe, and OMG, my family loves it! I also made a vegan pan for me, and it was still the bomb! I paired it with a pot of pinto beans and vegan sausage. All I have to say is wow! This is mighty scrumptious. Bless you, dear!🥰
I just wanted to say thank you for including the metric amounts in the recipe. It saves a lot of looking up conversions! I substituted flour for white masa. Fingers crossed it works out!

I actually make a pretty good cornbread that everyone likes, but I’m going to try your recipe simply because it is so pleasant to listen to you-it’s relaxing, yet underlyingly motivating!
I just made this recipe tonight but I used 3/4 cornmeal, 3/4 all purpose flour and 1/2 cup corn flour, extra 1.5 Tbsp of butter in the batter & extra 2 Tbsp in the cast iron. Baked it for 20 min. Then brushed the top with butter and broil it until the top is golden brown. It was crisp all around but moist and melt in your mouth 😋👍🏻👍🏻 The last time I made a cornbread (another recipe), I ended up eating most of it bcuz no one really liked it... this time it was hard for everyone to stop eating this yummy deliciousness!! ❤️😋😋😋❤️ DEFINITELY going to be a regular in my home ❤️🤤. SOOOO GOOD!
So this is a good video. So I like it. So i watched it a few times. So it turned out good. So the butter was yummy on the bottom. So someone did make some nice food. So I liked it warm from the oven. So I had some with butter and jam. SO i ate about half the pan for lunch. So that was delicious. So this is a good recipe to have ready when bread runs short. So I like mine with chili and a nice salad. So just a lettuce wedge. So that's about all for now. So thanks for the recipe.. So it was so so so so so so tasty. So you did a great job. So I hope you have a nice day. So bye bye for now. So long. So TTFN to. So so so so so so happy I found this recipe.

I use LoSo baking powder which is 560 mgs of sodium for 2 tsp and 1/2 tsp of salt for 1,150 mg of sodium totaling 1,710 mgs of sodium for the entire pan. I figure it to be 8 servings @214 mgs per serving. Its fits into a low sodium eating plan and no one would be able to tell. Delicious!

I just made this recipe and I think it is a pretty good cornbread recipe. It turned out just like in the video with the nice thick fluffy cornbread and the nice golden bottom even though I didn’t have a cast iron pan and I just used a glass pan it still turned out good. That's right hunn. Scrape that bowl CLEAN. I can't stand when people dont scrape everything out the bowl. That cornbread looks delicious!!
My mother drummed that habit into me. It's RESPECT for the food. I'm almost OCD about getting everything out of the bowl, pan, etc.
I was raised not to waste food and I scrape everything out of the bowl too!
I agree use a spatula to get it all - dont be wasteful
One can lick the bowl you know ..
