    Oh my god. I’ve had clip studio paint for 5 years now, and every time I tackled a new drawing/project it would be so underwhelming (and would easily distort since I have never used a vector layer)and it would take FOREVER. I find it hard to sit down and watch tutorials, which is why I have been struggling for so long and I finally found your video. The way you teach is very approachable and I made sure to stay the entire time because I knew whatever you had to say would be very educational and vital to me in the future. believe me, stuff like this is why I'm glad there are good in-depth tutorials for improving and making something as tedious as linearting is feel more engaging. And this is coming from someone who is used to clicking and making paths for lineart (and shading) so it comes out looking good (while taking HOURS to do) and is wanting to try something more efficient. My issue is having such a handicap with stabilizing bc of shaky hands that my line art looks so robotic by the end of it. I wish I could just “tell” when and where to use varied thickness to give the lineart depth and make it seem much more visually appealing 😭 Even the option of changing the lines in vector layers doesn’t help with the issue of not having that ‘eye’ for knowing where to use thin/thick lines.

      You could always draw with the line tools such as 'continuous curve'. It would take longer but it might get the look and stability you want

      @@Shyfoxx thank you! I did use real person as reference. Specifically, Charlize Theron's hairstyle in Fast and furious 8.. But her dreadlocks there was soooo thin. I honestly don't know how to try and draw a really thin dreads. 🤣 you can look her up so you'd see the idea. 🙈 i drew dreadlocks but they're thick as heck not like the one Charlize have. I like it to be thin but i dunno how hahaha. She's just so pretty and badass.

    I know I'm late, just discovered your channel. I have a question, If you don't mind. How do I find the option "Correct line" and "Object free transformation" like you have on your Sub Tool? I know It might be a custom config but how do I add it there? I'm still trying to learn this program!

    • @ploythepenguin9854

      I found that if you click "Operation" and then "object" you can in the tool property select the mode for that one to a free form, scale etc etc. And then just rename it to Object free transform. It does the same thing she does, and I have been looking EVERYWHERE as well =)

    Don't know of I'm doing something wrong, but I find smoothing is far superior in Art Rage. It not only makes the line smoother on the micro level, but also overall, almost like a vector, without the hassle of having to set points, and the degree of smoothing and also the length of taper is fully adjustable.

      I recorded a quick video to answer your question. So check this if you want to see where the object tool and line tool are located. ruclips.net/video/BunkSjH_ZH0/видео.html
      I should note that some of the object tools are still located under my line tools, if that makes sense but this should at least help you find yours.
      Hope this helps!

    I'm just seeing your video. I really like the information, I was wondering if you rough draw first on paper than scan to your digital platform, or do you do everything digitally from start to finish project.

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  2 года назад

      When I got started in digital art I drew on paper then scanned or took a photo. Now I only draw digitally. I got better at it, used to it and now I draw better digitally then on paper because I make use of the drawing tools.

    Who thinks is better CSP or procreate hmmm? I use ipad pro

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  3 года назад +2

      They are both great but just different. If you ask me I prefer CSP because it has a lot more tools and things to use that I am able to make use of. Procreate is great for being a simpler program, not as confusing and is known for it's nice brushes. CSP has nice brushes too, especially with the downloadable community assets. Both are great for the iPad.

    Hi there! do you know if in the trial for CSP, the object tool doesn't work? I had tried to use it in an earlier tutorial of yours that involved moving these dots on a line, but the dots never appeared. Now, when i choose object on my vector layer, the options are not clickable :(

    • @Shyfoxx

      The object tool is apart of the trial. Settings will change whether dots appear or not.

      In clip studio you click on window, then canvas, then new window. On PC you can drag it like a popout. You can't drag it like a popout on iPad but it'll still be a duplicate view you can arrange to view while drawing. Hope that helps 👍

      You would need to have 'Presure sensitivity' with whatever your drawing tool is. Most drawing tablets/digital pens should do this in most art programs. Press harder, thicker line. Press lighter, thinner line.
