In this video I am using the URC7880. If you don't have the codes in the list, follow the link below to the codes. Since Logitech announced they are no longer making remote controls, I am looking for a replacement for my Harmony 665. My most important Activity is called "Kodi". I use an Intel NUC running Libreelec (Kodi) to play all my stored media. The "Kodi" activity turns on my TV, Yamaha Receiver and Intel NUC and selects the correct HDMI Input for each device. The code used for the Intel NUC running Kodi is called "Microsoft Media Center Extender". All the keys on my Harmony 665 work Kodi perfectly. Will the One For All remote allow me to select the correct HDMI Inputs during programming of the Kodi Activity?
I didn't know Logitech is not making remotes anymore! That's horrible. I can't remember if the OFA remote can execute a set of commands. If you have the manual handy, look for something called a macro or something like that to see if it can execute multiple commands. If you don't have the manual, the OFA website usually has all the manuals listed there to look at.

I have a TCL TV and somehow managed to lose the Remote, and so purchased your Universal 7955 model. The TCL came with a very limited active channel list, and I want to expand this list via some auto tuning app. So far I have selected 'Menu', 'TV' and 'customise channels' to select which channels appear, and cannot get much further than that. I really need an auto tuning option - does your 7955 unit provide it? If it doesn't , this device is going back to the retailer as it will clearly fail the 'universal' test.
HI, I don't have access to that particular TV. The remote should access the menu and that's where the "auto tuning" for the over the air/ cable channels are usually located. The TCL might be setup differently...

Can you hook this remote to 2 TVs? Also, how do you change devices? I programmed one of my TVs on “tv” and one on one of the other options but when I click devices it stays on tv
Yes you can use one of the other device buttons to add a TV.. I think there's a device button you can push and the light will change each time you push it, so keep pushing it until you get to the device you want.. "I think" i'm just going off memory, so don't quote me for sure..
Hello to there! I have been trying to find codes for Xiaomi tvs but no luck with the one I found ( it was a 5 digit code which didn’t do the trick ) . Any idea what it might be?
HI, if you have the original remote most One For All remotes are teachable. I can't remember if this particular one is, but probably. If you don't have it most remotes have an auto code search function...
Does this work for xbox and ps4? And there's no silicone in the product correct? What materials are the buttons and remote?
I don't know what the buttons are made of. You'll have to check the OFA website to determine that. It might work for Xbox or PS4. If there's no codes for those, you should be able to use the original remote to set those up.

Will it works on General Electric P-7120 VCR player? It made in 1986.
If it's an IR remote and you have the original remote, you can try the learning function and see. I have no way of knowing without trying it if it'll work just by putting in a code for GE..

It should work with a TCL.. If all the functions don't work, you can use your original remote to fill in the gaps for anything missing.

HI, a model number doesn't mean much. It should work. If you have the original remote, you can teach this remote those commands if it doesn't work for some reason.

Anyclue if I can make this magic puppy control 3 things at once? I have my TV to my TV setting. Soundbar to soundbar. Roku to game. But I have to cycle them to TV on, sound up, scroll roku. It's a great remote and this will grow on me. But wondering if you have mastered this thing and if it's able to work like that?? Thanks!

So my original remote doesn't have play pause, is there away to get it to work? On my old Logitech 650 it worked perfectly only issue is I have had it replaced 2 times
Hmmm. So the One For All won't work Play/Pause on your device by itself? Have you've tried all the codes already? If your Logitech did function then that means it's possible. The only other way I know of is if you have another remote like the Logitech that does function, you can use that remote to Teach the One For All the codes. You need some source to transmit the codes.
@@JLPicard440 so I spoke to customer service and they gave me codes for Netflix and amazon and it registered but doesn't work and yeah they didn't give me any codes for rewind etc with the Logitech It automatically assigned it even though my old remote didn't have it

Hmmm. If you have your original remote, you can program the RUclips button by teaching it.
I just got this remote and after set up it's still making me switch back and forth to sound bar for volume control and apple tv or tv and sound bar. Any suggestions? Thank you for your video! Want to be able to use the volume without having to switch it to sound bar.
HI, did you setup the volume lock? Here's an excerpt from the manual:
If you always use one device to control volume, for example your TV or an AV Receiver, you can set up the Smart Control to always control that device, regardless of which device your remote is controlling.
To do this:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice. The LED under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 993 - the LED will blink twice.
3. Use the DEVICES key to select the Device you want to lock the Volume to. 4. Press MAGIC once - the LED will blink twice and volume is now locked.
If there is one particular device you would like to exclude from the Volume Lock (and control its own volume), you can do this by the following:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice. The LED under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 993 - the LED will blink twice.
3. Use the DEVICES key to select the Device you remove from Volume Lock.
4. Press VOLUME DOWN - the LED will blink four times and device is now removed.
To unlock the volume and set every device back to controlling its own volume, the procedure is:
1. Hold down MAGIC until the LED under the device blinks twice. The LED under the current mode key will stay lit.
2. Press 993 - the LED will blink twice.

The set up easy enough, in looking at the combo option 3 which is TV/Audio/Media…is there any way to have the power button operate all 3 simultaneously or will each device need to be powered up and down on its own?

Yes, I think if you set up an activity it will do that. I'm not sure about controlling it from the power button, but when you select the activity it will power on whichever combination you setup..

Thank you, I’ve set up combination #2 for TV watching, what I can see is that I’ll still need to power up and off each component on its own. I haven’t read anything that will allow me to power up or shut down all 3 components with a one touch of the power button.
@@jeffmcbride6218 Hmm... I never set up an activity on this remote. The activity function won't power on the components automatically? IF that won't work then you need a remote that can do a macro function. I know that works, I've done it with other remotes..
@@JLPicard440 if you set an activity all of the devices in that activity will turn on and or off with a long press of the power button.,…hold the power button for at least 5 seconds.

U should be able to access that from the TV menu... Usually there's a button for it and if you have your original remote, you should be able to use that and it would be faster.
Must your tv be turned on? Because my tv does not have a on off button built into the tv
No, the remote sends out a power signal. The TV will recognize it as power. It will turn off if on and on if off. There's no specific on command or off command if that makes sense.
How to set up two TVs? Maybe assign the first one to the "TV" button and the other to "STB" botton?
I believe you can setup any device on any button... (If I remember right)..
Hi can you tell me how I can get it to power my Apple TV box. All functions work but can’t get it to turn apple box on and off
Those don't have an on or off.. The Apple TV usually will turn on by pressing the select button in the middle of the 4 way arrow buttons.. They usually will power off within a few minutes after you're done using it..
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I just now found your response. If the volume lock is enabled that might be causing the problem. Here's an excerpt I found in the manual. This might be worth trying.

Does this remote have the auto code search feature? I don't remember.. If so you can do a auto code search and see if it'll hit on one..

HI, many remotes allow you to program any device to any device button regardless of the label on the button. I don't remember if this one in particular allows you to do that. I'd say to give it a try and see if it works... 😀

If it works, it would be the same procedure as I laid out in the video, but just sub out which ever device button. For example use the games device button for your CD player.

There's no way that i know of to teach these commands on the OFA remote without the original remote. Maybe go to bestbuy and see if they'll let you use one of theirs to teach this remote the missing commands? It's possible.

Hi Frank. The Roku stick uses an RF type remote. This remote is IR only..
Can anyone help me. I have Mitsubishi Blu-ray player that has only one eject button. All controls like play , forward , rewind , pause etc can only be done using car in dash screen which is not working. So is there any work around to control this player.
I am not familiar with that unit. Is it for an auto? Did it come with a remote from the dealer? A universal remote will only work if it's designed to handle an IR signal from an external remote.

I've never heard of that brand. IS that brand listed on the code list? This remote is teachable, but you'll need the original remote to make that happen..

Mine wont change device using the device button. Just stays on tv. I put in new batteries. Any ideas please?
You have to program a code to the device first. It will let you pick the device after you press and hold the MAGIC key for two blinks, use the device select button to chose the device to program and enter the code. Now it will allow you to go to TV and whichever device you just programmed. More codes in, more devices you can chose from.
Usually it'll do that if the TV is the only device programmed into the memory. Did you program in other devices?
How do I get the input button to work
Try all the codes for your device to see if one works better than the other. if that doesn't work, then you'll need the original remote. You can use that to teach in any missing commands like the input. If you don't have the original then it's going to be a problem.

So you can't select an Activity and then turn on the power for each device in that activity? You need to power each one on individually? Seems like a pretty big oversight for a universal remote. If I figure it out, I'll post the solution here. Just got one of these myself and that's the last thing I have to do.
Yes you can. I don't remember if I covered it in the video to keep it from getting to long. If you look in the book under activities, then go to macros on activities. If you program a macro on an activity you can push one button to turn on more than one device. If you've lost the book, just go over to the OFA website and you can download the manual there. Hope this helps... 🙂
If you create an activity all of those devices will turn on and off with a long press of the power button.. hold the power button for at least 5 seconds and all devices in that activity will turn on/off.

Yes if you're talking about the shortcut buttons at the bottom. Depending on the TV, you can access your apps another way.
I do that exsct process. Worked for 2 devices. I'm trying to add a CD Player into AUD and there is no way. It blinks like it learned but then I hold Magic, the devices skip AUD. No matter how long I pressagic at the end of that cycle, it won't learn anything.
Also, this thing doesn't unlearn. 976 doesn't do it. I want to completely delete a device. Does anybody knows how? Thanks
I think the AUD button is more for an amplifier like a sound bar, A/V receiver, Tuner, etc. There is a work around if you happen to have a DVD player, you can use a dvd to play a regular cd. OR you can try putting your CD player on the DVD button, although I am not sure if that'll work.
The reset procedure from the one for all sight..:
To reset your remote to the manufacturer's setting please use the following procedure:
Hold the MAGIC key down until the LED blinks once and then twice.
Enter code 981 the LED will blink four times in total.
You can now setup your remote again.

I think so.. you should be able to put a TV on one of the other device buttons your not using. I'm 99% sure, but not 100%.

Hi, if your smart TV has shortcut buttons on the original remote, you'll need to use that to "Teach" the OFA remote that function and assign it to a button that you're not using. I go through the "Teaching" process in the video.

Worked well but the ok button for the tv isn’t working. It’s just setting the sleep timer.
Are there different codes available? Sometimes if the device acts funny like that, it's the wrong code.
How to connect the one for all to a Insignia
HI, should be able to use the same procedure in the video but substitute the code for the insignia. If it's a smart TV, you won't have any smart shortcuts available unless you use the original remote and teach the OFA remote any functions that are missing..

I found this on the OFA website. Give this a try and see if it works.

You'll probably need your original remote to teach those buttons Netflix etc. They are made for a streaming device the way it comes from OFA.

Is there more than 1 code for the soundbar? Sometimes if 1 code won't work, then there are several listed.
