  • In this video tutorial I am setting up the One For All Essential 8 universal remote control. This remote can be setup to pretty much any device as long as you have your original remote since this remote is teachable. This is the one that has the antimicrobial properties built into the remote.

    Thank you so much it made set up so easy in addition to regular set up I was able to program my apps. But I’d like to know how to program my Bose sound bar, my TV and my cable box to all turn off and with one push off the power button any advice?

      Yes, here's a link to the manual on the OFA website. If you scroll to page 11, the manual talks about activities. Those are the closest thing to macros, which are a sequence of commands with one button push. I hope this helps:

    I bought a NS-RMT8D21 from Insignia. I want to program the tv activity button to turn on my three devices. Unfortunately in the device brand digit menu there is no digit for a Denon receiver. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks

      HI, I was just looking through the book and I didn't see the auto code search feature for this remote. It was the simpleset, code entry and the learning method. If you've tried the first 2 do you still have your original remote? This one can learn from it if so...

    • @JLPicard440

      Does the streaming box accept commands from an IR remote? If so, you might be able to use the original remote to teach this one the commands.

    Will it work with Google TV?

    • @JLPicard440
      @JLPicard440  Год назад

      HI, i've never had the opportunity to try it. If the google TV will accept codes from an IR remote then it should work. You'd have to take a look at the code list and see if there's a listing for google tv. IF the original remote had smart shortcut keys this probably won't work but it's teachable so if you have the original remote, you might be able to put those shortcuts on a button that's not in use.

    Will this remote work with
    Roku Express??

    • @JLPicard440
      @JLPicard440  Год назад

      If the express model is a table top Roku, I believe for sure it will. I have a 4K Roku Stick I got recently and there's an option for CEC control in the menu. I haven't tried it yet to see if a regular universal will work with it, but I suspect it will. The only problem I see is the universal remote has no home button, so there may be no home button control.

      Oh excellent... just out of curiosity is there a button that'll work with the home function? I use that home button all the time and it seems like i'd miss it if it didn't work.. I'd rather use a universal since I don't like the volume control on the side of the remote like they have it on the Roku remote.
