Brilliant! I had to replace the batteries & clean the remote due to battery acid buildup on the springs, which was enough time for the remote to reset. I couldn't find the instructions, and none of the codes I found online worked. The auto setup worked perfectly.
That's awesome! So glad I was able to help. Yes I wish that modern AA, AAA, etc batteries wouldn't leak their acid out like that. I've run into that problem quite a few times...
with that control can i use it for my Onn Android TV Box i bought recently? if work where i can bought it theres not link in the desvription for the remote control
HI, it looks like that device can be placed behind the TV. That being said, means that the remote it came with is an RF remote and uses radio signals instead of IR which uses light. So unless that box will respond to HDMI-CEC control, it's not going to work. I don't know the answer to that one. If it will then it will work as long as your TV is programmed and is working through the remote. The Fire-stick works great using this technology, but not all streaming devices work.
Hello... The "setup" button doubles as a "shift" button. If I remember right, if you push and release the "shift" button, you can then push the "info" button which should double as a "menu" button...
It worked for me and now I don't have to throw the remote against the wall like I was about to do until I found your video 😁 I have had this remote for years and I have never been able to program it for the life of me
HI, if you momentarily press "setup" you see there's "shift" written in white. That activates the "2nd" function of those buttons with the print on the main body of the remote.
@@JLPicard440 I did the code scanner after entering the codes from the online list that didn't work. As soon as my TV turned off I pressed 1 as suggested.
If the auto code search finds a code and you stop the search, it may be that it has stored the same code that didn't work when you manually entered the code. Does this remote have a shift button that could affect the input button? Some of the buttons have 2 functions and you have to press and hold shift to access the 2nd function..
HI, I usually try to leave a link to the codes in the description. IF it's not there or no longer works, it's easy to google the codes for the Onn remote...

It's an ONN remote. Although it programs like a GE.
Should the TV be on while I'm doing all this stuff
I usually recommend the TV to be on.. but it'll actually work either way.

How to fix a remove when I turn on the tv?
HI, I don't understand the question?

That's awesome! Glad I could help... 😀
Good stuff ! I started watching you after your IC-7300 mod video… keep up the good work!
Awesome! Thank you!
One of the codes worked and it turned the volume up and down only, I tried with the other codes it didn’t work at all! What should I do now?
Did you try the other codes for your brand? If so, did you try the auto code search?
@@JLPicard440 yes, I tried both, the other codes and auto search, both didn’t work.
@@fatimabaher5636 Arrgh sorry to hear that. what are you working with? Is it a smart TV?

HI, if you momentarily press "setup" you see there's "shift" written in white. That activates the "2nd" function of those buttons with the print on the main body of the remote.

I got my remote to work but the input button won’t work on my TV. What should I do?
Hmmm.. Have you tried all the codes? Sometimes a code will only partially work.

When I Autosearch the code for the TV the light stays on doesn't turn tv off or anything
Can you tell if it's sending out codes? I think the light will usually flash when it's doing so.
I lost the instructions to my remote
HI, you can easily google the codes for this remote or I usually put a link in the description to the code list...
1 isn’t saving it it’s just changing the code
How fresh are the batteries?
