Another great play feature: You can position the hole off the side of a table now and have Palpatine fall a longer distance
Or have it on a black surface to give the illusion of a bottomless pit
I did the same thing with my Betrayal at Cloud City, having Luke and Vader’s battle positioned off the edge of a table.

Edit: Yea nevermind the leaks of bespin duel showed that he also has arm prints in the set. And that would be set targeted towards adults, so I'm not surprised it also has arm prints. Also that would be much cheaper, so I'lll get it instead of this...:/

So glad they remade/ re-released this set, it´s my favorite scene in all of star wars but I missed the previous one. I´m damn certain that won´t happen this time around.

Fun fact: the text on the right side of the throne with the Death Star symbol says "Sheild Active". And no, I didn't misspell that xD
I found it weird that they switched the positions of the catwalk and the pit, but then I realized that the pit is actually on the right side of the throne in the movie so this is actually more accurate
Coming from a new collector I personally like the idea of LEGO bringing back old sets because as soon as I heard this set coming out I was excited to see that I was going to be able to get a Darth Vader minifigure without paying crazy prices on eBay. Then all the other minifigures are also amazing. Truly a great set for new or collector’s coming back that didn’t have the chance to get this set.
I haven't seen this set in local stores until today. HAD to pick it up, my mom sold all of my childhood Lego sets and so I'm just starting my collection back up and this set is incredibly amazing.
My only question is, do you still play with the LEGO sets after you build them?

I was a little kid (YES I AM YOUNG) When I bought the original version from 2015 of this set, and I just wanted the mini figs. The set was left not even half buildt, and I ended up using the parts from it to something else....

It feels like just yesterday when I bought the original set at toys r us after saving up money all summer. It’s nice to know some newer fans will have a chance to get this set.

I really love the newer darth Vader’s helmet because it looks more accurate it covers up the neck and I like the way the bottom stays on when you take off his helmet because it’s also more accurate to the scene in return of the Jedi where Luke takes his fathers helmet off so 10/10 from me
Perhaps landing Luke on his feet onto the platform is more likely when he is holding his lightsaber

I remember getting the original set in 2015 when I moved back to California haha.. I went with my nana and papa to Toys R Us and we got this set and they built it for me and took em two hours. They still find lego pieces in their house from that to this day
I do believe that this is more like an update ( updated mini figures, more details on the build) where the concept is basically the same, a remake would be like duel on mustafar where is the same scene but different build. keep up with the good content.

I remember in the 2015 version of this set you could launch characters into the thing the emperor gets throw down, I used to challenge myself to launch a character into the thing in the least amount of tries possible.

It is a big improvement from the other one because the pit on the outside on the older version doesn't have stickers when this one has stickers I'm sad I bought the older one so I'm kinda confused on what to do should I buy it? I don't know

That vader minifigure is the future. I also feel something funny that i would have added to the set would have been a sith wayfinder just sitting somewhere down stairs because thats where rey finds it decades later and it would be a funny little easter egg for star wars fans

I love that new arm printing on Vader and this is overall an amazing set
I have the first version which I already love. But they made just the right improvements for me to upgrade. Those screens to the side of the throne and the better entry design make it much more finished looking. And the Vader arm printing is a must!
I’m actually super glad this came back out, I remember being little and not being able to afford this set so I’m definitely gonna cop!

Looking at Vader’s arms makes me wonder why Lego didn’t do that for the 501st troopers. They could’ve had blue on the shoulders and the rest white.
JCM because those sets are cheaper and LEGO doesn’t want to waste money on cheap sets. They lose profit.
