Bit of a rude comment towards the wrong enemy. They never told anyone to go adopt not shop as well. You should instead be redirecting your frustration with the actual problem! The owners who don't spay and neuter their cats and let them roam around outdoors to breed. People buying bred cats aren't the reason for the large amounts of strays or shelter pets. The irresponsible owners letting their cats breed outside and not caring or doing anything about it are the problem. People abandoning their cats to the streets, dumpsters, shelters with no remorse or proper consideration beforehand are also the culprits. For personal preference reasons as well: You can encourage people to adopt, but many people look for specific things in pets and that's as valid as being open to getting a random shelter kitty. Certain breeds produce less of the enzymatic allergen, so people with allergies seek out responsible breeders who allow you to test your allergies with the litter ( I did this for a Siberian cat. I'm horribly allergic but love cats. 0 allergies with him and I didn't have to waste anyone/any Kitty's time. I tried calling and going to shelters but couldn't find any and it was taking up months of my life when I just wanted a companion to love). It's much better than taking multiple cats home from a shelter to "test them out" and keep surrendering them because it doesn't work out. I've seen this first hand and it's always so sad and the cats are not happy. Many personality traits are also (mostly) guaranteed with certain breeds, whereas a shelter will have to confirm those traits for you if they have the time to find out or if they have the previous history, which is often not included sadly. It's also worth mentioning that good responsible breeders keep these purebred lineages alive and if everyone were to adopt, many breeders just wouldn't exist. We'd have diminishing numbers of the very few cat breeds that exist. 90% of people getting cats adopt from shelters or find them anyways. It's such a miniscule amount that get purebreds, but unfortunately, a large amount adopt irresponsibly and irrationally. Just a side note.. I worked for many wellness centers and shelters while heavily medicated and suffering daily, and I really do support adopting first, but I would never shame someone for buying a good breed from a good breeder. I however DO NOT support the breeding of poorly bred cats with health problems, smooshed faces, etc for cosmetic purposes, that's a whole other conversation.. So is the whole topic of outdoors cats.
Hey :) just some feedback since I’ve now had the catio for a few months. My cats love it and it is very safe. You can also bolt it to the wall to avoid tipping.
Don't pay for animals. You could have gotten them for free at a rescue. Yes, rescues have pure breds and many vet offices get those animals dumped for free when breeders don't want them anymore.
The price is not the only difference between a rescue and a purebred. A well bred cat doesn't come in with behavioral issues, the parents and other ancestors are tested for potential illness, you know what to expect personality wise. There's nothing wrong with getting one. Also, reputable breeders don't dump cats they don't want.

"if you don't have cats, why are you even watching this viedo?"
uh....what? some people may be watching because they don't have a cat yet but want to create these cat things in advance for when the kitty arrives? why else would they watch it?
I was joking :) I don't have a dog and watch dog content all the time haha
What about the entrance and securing it to your home
Dang. I had two of those IKEA shelves that I didn't need anymore so I gave them away. Now I want to build a catio for my cat and I wish I kept them! 😩
awww mannnn lol

Guess who gave the dislike 👆

@Ron king I don't like how you just arrogantly said that she said it in an arrogant way!
@Ron Yeah didn't take issue with that myself but was somewhat irritated she said she paid $4k per cat when so many are sitting in shelters waiting for homes
