Hi Bob, few quick comments/words of advice : 1. 3:28 Please do not clamp a pouch-type battery with crocodile clips like that. There's a very real risk of causing a puncture. Avoiding pierce damage is the main reason there's an extra mylar sheet over the battery area of the plastic cover. 2. Installing a smaller battery is a fire/safety hazard. VMSE uses a 2C rated battery, which means a charge current of 230 (mAh) * 2(C) = 460mA. The smaller, 150mAh battery that you're using needs to be AT LEAST 3C rated to be safe, and going by the appearance alone, it doesn't seem likely to be that.
Hello, love the mod video's! Keep up the great and informative content. I know this is a old video but i just got this mouse and want to do a battery mod. Can you please tell me what size JST connector to get for the battery? Thanks in advance!

no issues reported yet but thanks for the advice.
@@Beardedbob can you try using the tj exclusives weight mod base for the razer viper mini. It will most likely fit on the signature edition

Have you found a replacement scroll wheel that works with this mouse? I hate the metal scroll wheel without the rubber grip.
Are there any aftermarket scroll wheel that does fit the Viper Mini Signature Edition?
why dont you cut holes/shape of the bottom of the mouse thats what i plan on doing when i get mine
Different video this one is one that you can do without damaging it.
@@Beardedbob ooh i see then is a future video about it coming up?
It'll be funny to measure how long that smaller battery lasts in 8k polling rate mode just for the laughs 😂
Battery seems a tad scary to do, is there any place to purchase a 100maw battery with a 3 pin cable ready to go?
It's not that hard to separate the wires carefully when soldering.
eBay has em, but shipping takes a while from China

And that doesn’t utterly tank in battery life using 4/8khz polling? How does battery life compare?
Just extrapolate
How many mm does the razer battery jst have tho?
When comes the Asus aimlab my Friend ?🤗
I was planning Wednesday but it might be next week sir.
Are you getting a deathadder 8k, I wonder if its exactly the same as the pro. Its like $80 cheaper.
the pro is wireless, 8k is wired is the biggest point of difference. also the 8k wired has a new smooth coating that the pro doesn't have
Yep its on order should be here tomorrow... I'll be checking it out and also streaming with it on Friday to test it
I thought they use a special quick-chargeable battery. But guess iam wrong :)
With that PCB It could be possible to make a 20 gram mouse like zeromouse
yep possible.. check out the vgn dragon fly
i hope you realize that weight adds stabilization ... this is true for target and hunting archery, for video cameras, also for mouse aiming ....
why are we getting sweaty over 7 grams
Because Razer failed us 😭
@@Beardedbob Lol😂
I'd rather put a bigger battery in there.
it will be “heavier” but much more time usage for sure
Same
7 грамм?) Не значительно
