Its magnesium, do you know how hard it is to work with this material? Another mouse brand with this material is FinalMouse and they also sell it for the price of hundred too without even mentioning they have massive QC problem but people still love those mouses.
The original Razer Mini was known for being a solid budget pick for people with small hands. The only downside was a wire and slightly old sensor. I’m glad we can now have the option of buying a wireless version, it only took 3 years of waiting, and only costs 10x the price. Keep going strong Razer!
Through three mouses the razor mini i'll never buy a razor mouse again. I went through two Deathadder version 2 special editions. I take care of my mouse is just that the clickers and the side paddings fail or even indent.
My legitimate concern with the cutouts is *the exposed circuit boards.* I've had to repair too many circuits in *enclosed* systems from dirt & debris alone not to be sincerely concerned with exposed circuits in a space designed to be constantly touched by nature (not to mention the $280 price tag). A frosted or clear plastic barrier as an option would be nice, but would also inescapably lengthen the lifespan of any device with exposed boards.
Honestly, I don't understand the cutout craze. It just seems like a massive pain when it comes to cleaning. I know everyone wants the lightest mouse out there, but switching mice is like switching controllers (PSY to XBOX). There is a period of adjustment, but after that, it's basically just like normal. I use a fairly heavy mouse (G903) and have no issues. Even though that has a few areas that are hard to clean, if it had cutouts it would be much harder to clean. As for the price, idk it's expensive but that's the standard for "Special editions". My next mouse may end up being close to $200 but that's because the infinite scroll is something I don't want to give up. There is however a cheaper option if I want to give up the wireless function. As for the frosted Plastic or even plexi. I agree it would be a welcome design choice, something we haven't really seen on a mouse yet.
If they decided on an exoskeleton design like this, would it really hurt the weight to install a thin plastic microfilm underneath the triangles so that the interior could atleast be dustproof?
I'm enjoying my Razer Viper mini but man, most of the reason why I went with it in the first place is because it had NO HOLES. I've tried several ultralight mice and I just never liked the hand feel of those holes. The "it's not a palm grip mouse" is a weak argument. There are people like me with smaller hands who do palm/hybrid palm grips on this size of mice. Never mind the steep price tag, I'm against this design because of the holes. I wish batteries of wireless mice were removable so you can run them as lighter wired mice.
bro unless youre a 5 year old child i dont see how you can comfortably and reliably palm grip this mouse for an extended period of time. finger tip and claw is the way to go anyways. youre not an alien bro just get used to the grip. unless you're confusing the grip terms I think you're in the wrong market if you wanna palm grip small mouses. look at the DAV3 or GPX if you want those types of things
to anyone who thinks the price is insane, razer did say the viper mini ultimate will be less expensive but coming later. the signature is meant to be an ultra premium, ultra high performance art piece. You really cant complain about this when people are dropping $200 on a plastic playstation controller that has “replaceable” joysticks because hall sensors just wouldnt be as profitable in the long run for Sony
Ah then it makes more sense. Most people are going to find this mouse to be way to expensive, which is a shame when it is the successor to one of the best budget gaming mice. Dropping a more mid-range version later is a smart move from razer.
I'm still in love with the Pwnage Sym 2 Ultra Custom ever since I saw it on your channel, and I have had it for over a year now. I have always called it a "Wireless version of the Viper mini" and promoted to friends looking for something of the sort. This Signature edition mouse is definitely a luxury product and on the higher priced end because of the materials and included accessories. I would direct anyone still looking for a wireless Viper Mini to check out the Pwnage Sym 2Ultra Custom.
I like my normal Razer Viper, was affordable and works well enough. I have small hands, so part of me wants to go to a Viper Mini, but I also want to go wireless for my next mouse since I normally play with pretty low sens (or if not wireless at least something with a higher polling rate) and this looks perfect but way too expensive. If Razer ever releases a normal wireless Viper Mini that is like the Razer Viper V2 Pro or something but smaller and a little cheaper I will be picking it up
I hope they release a Pro model for a more reasonable price eventually, because I’ve been waiting for a wireless Viper Mini since I got my mini, but I’m not about to pay $280 to get that experience.
I really love how this mouse looks. $280 is a lot, but this is supposed to be a very premium device anyway. If i didn't have my Viper Ultimate i'd definitely be considering this as an upgrade option from my previous model O, though it may be a little bit too small tbf.

If this thing had ambidextrous side buttons, I would be very interested in it. It's super light, looks great, is geared toward fingertip grip, but... no right-side buttons. I really question why Razer stopped putting the ambi side buttons on the Viper series--they make mice like the Ultimate so much more versatile.
I want it just too be flashy, they do tend to drop prices on crazy things but these aren’t glasses. Magnesium is a little different than plastic I’m guessing
Is the part that you rest your fingers on plastic or magnesium alloy? I cant tell if the back half of the mouse is the only part of the mouse that uses this new material.
What mouse do you recommend for small hands + finger tip grip + wireless with good performance and no delay (similar to this one but cheaper). Viper v2 is too big for my hands, weight is not a problem just the size (height and length). I was using the og versions of viper mini and abyssus but I want to get a wireless one with better performance and similar build
3:00 not true the og viper mini shape was good for a pam claw hybrid with the hump being fuller and higher diffrent from the standard viper thats what made the og viper mini so special, this new viper mini razer totally missed the mark with what made the og viper mini special
How are the side buttons seem wobbly in other reviews? Does Synapse recognise a connected v2 pro and this separately and can you connect both to the one 4 dongle I wonder?
5:30 uff whats up with your mouse technique, like you lift and put down the mouse tilted instead of flat, resulting ion shakiness on reset and whats with the extensive lifting of fingers from mousebuttons. Is your technique just really poor or is the mouse designe flawed and hard to use for you

can they make a silicone cover to cover the gaps in the shell and buttons for those of us who hate the cutouts of the shell. they could have included a stickable cover to do this....for $300 they should included an entire extra mouse as a backup....lol 💯
Tbh I wish they made it a thinner solid shell and holes on the bottom plate or something. If you have a smaller hand that does rest on the back shell those cut outs look pretty bad
That’s crazy because the timer ⏱️ said 11mins to go then notify me like come on in this day and age we can’t make it so it’s fair and I’m happy too spend $400 AUS 🇦🇺 for this mouse but just nothing 🥹
Good review, but the mouse is not for me. I don't mind smaller to medium sized mice, like the Finalmouse Starlight or the CoolerMaster MM712, so I think I could get along with its size just fine. But my meaty hands do tend to rest on the backstrap of the mouse, and I've heard several reviewers say that's fairly uncomfortable with those cutouts. With most mice, with smaller holes, I don't mind it. They just feel like texture to me, not holes, but this mouse's holes are massive lol. I'll wait and see what comes from the non-signature edition mice. Hopefully they'll have another one made of magnesium, just without the holes. I do have a Pwnage Stormbreaker on order too, another magnesium mouse with holes, but much larger. Here's hoping that's a good mouse as well, otherwise I'll be sticking with my Starlight.
I loved everything about the original EXCEPT the middle click dying after around 4 months. I went through 4 of these and they all had the exact same issue.
I'm always confused with open mices like these. Like, how tf would you even clean this? Or do you just always have to tuck this in a drawer every time you're done using it so dust and gunk wouldn't built up inside the mouse?
Use compressed air to clean it out. Or a hand air pump thingie. Tbf im a fingertipper so my hand doesnt really sit on the back of my mice but dust still builds up and compressed air works just fine for me

@@randomfrankp Should have mentioned that in the video, can't imagine you would review pre built PC and use after market gpu prices when discussing its value. great review, I just think it could be misleading when someone is trying to look for the value of the mouse.
Honestly, the cutouts look REALLY sleek. Love them compared to the standard hexagon cutouts we've been getting for years.
The mouse is 280$ that’s literally all you had to say.
okay razer-right
Can’t be wireless with a usb receiver ? For more portability
I want it just too be flashy, they do tend to drop prices on crazy things but these aren’t glasses. Magnesium is a little different than plastic I’m guessing
magnesium is metal. its technically a metal mouse
What keyboard/mouse mat is that? It looks super cool!
Why is razer removing dpi buttons from the top of the mouse though?
What keyboard is that?
Is the part that you rest your fingers on plastic or magnesium alloy? I cant tell if the back half of the mouse is the only part of the mouse that uses this new material.
what measuring scale do you have? it looks pretty slick
What mouse do you recommend for small hands + finger tip grip + wireless with good performance and no delay (similar to this one but cheaper).
Viper v2 is too big for my hands, weight is not a problem just the size (height and length). I was using the og versions of viper mini and abyssus but I want to get a wireless one with better performance and similar build
lmaooo i found my people
i was thinking of having the viper v2 pro because of the crazy perfect specs, but then i realized how it may affect my gaming because of the hand size
3:00 not true the og viper mini shape was good for a pam claw hybrid with the hump being fuller and higher diffrent from the standard viper thats what made the og viper mini so special, this new viper mini razer totally missed the mark with what made the og viper mini special
On ebay i see them for over $800! Whats the difference between this version and the one selling for $800?
How are the side buttons seem wobbly in other reviews?
Does Synapse recognise a connected v2 pro and this separately and can you connect both to the one 4 dongle I wonder?
But.... Where do I buy it? Razer site still doesnt allow me
The site says Feb 11th...
@randomfrankp so its more of an announcement then a release
id buy it, the only thing i hate is the fact that u can see the motherboard thru the holes.
does anyone know what is that to the left of the keyboard at 5:03
Ye I'm curious as well....
Brain magic orbital2 joystick
Does it has the classic usb receiver ? For on the go ? Or Bluetooth?
honestly my dream mouse is the razer viper ultimate with a togglable scroll wheel
is there gona be wired mini sygnature for like 60$?
5:30 uff whats up with your mouse technique, like you lift and put down the mouse tilted instead of flat, resulting ion shakiness on reset and whats with the extensive lifting of fingers from mousebuttons. Is your technique just really poor or is the mouse designe flawed and hard to use for you
Two more versions is coming i hope one of those version will include a viper mini wired 8khz
enojy games not working on 8000hz
How are the glass feet? My SE gets here today wondering if I should use them
Is there a news for normal version of this viper mini wireless?
Thanks for the Video Frank, I'm a finger tipper and was considering the Viper v3 pro or the new ROG Aimlab Harpe, but with this release dropped so I might just do this one instead, Which do you recommend I try, I don't want to buy all 3 to figure it out, what's the safest endgame recommend here in your opinion ? I main the Basilisk ultimate right now.
Hope they would make a deathadder mini wireless. ❤️
Yoooo bro, where Can i get those keycaps for my apex pro? Dude theyre sick, nice video btw
can they make a silicone cover to cover the gaps in the shell and buttons for those of us who hate the cutouts of the shell.
they could have included a stickable cover to do this....for $300 they should included an entire extra mouse as a backup....lol 💯
waiting for razer to do a non mini wired version with RGB. then they can take ma moneh
Tbh I wish they made it a thinner solid shell and holes on the bottom plate or something. If you have a smaller hand that does rest on the back shell those cut outs look pretty bad
What mouse pad is this? Thanks!
The dongle is $30 or $15 with a promo. Not $100...
okay the hyper dongle isn't 100 separately i got it for only 20 dollars
Maybe they can make a shell out of the same material but without holes.
Probably in the commercial/plastic version that is coming out later
Love this device but hate Synapse. Is possible to run this mouse without it?
4k vs 1k is there any difference besides that 4k eats more battery ?
Yes. 4K is just superior. There's a channel that compares all the latency stuff. You can find it there.
for the low low price of £279.99 😮
is it late for the aesthetic department? everyone is ditching the holes already (super late release for razer)
What’s the little knob/dial thing by the keyboard at minute 5:00
When is the preorder
already out of stock
That’s crazy because the timer ⏱️ said 11mins to go then notify me like come on in this day and age we can’t make it so it’s fair and I’m happy too spend $400 AUS 🇦🇺 for this mouse but just nothing 🥹
Learn how to read. The razer site LITERALLY SAYS Feb11
@@tysonsaylor5090 i was on razer us, but in razer Canada it’s release on 11 feb so i am happy to spend 372$ CAD for a little mouse :)
@@dracogordon788 no need too be like that mate I can read can you point out where I’m not looking too see the date ?
It can't be an endgame mouse for me with the open chassis for debris to collect. Also how easy would battery replacements be down the road?
Tech companies are just taking the piss now. No way I'm gonna get any mouse at this price point.
What's the manufacture warranty time frame?
is this liquid proof?
Why is it so heavy when sora is bigger, plastic and have no holes but it’s lighter?!?!
Hey Frank does razer viper mini signature edition can drag click and butterfly click and jitter click
Is there going to be a Deathadder wireless mini soon? That's what I'm looking forward to.
4:55 ugh how dare you install the glass skates with out cleaning the left over residue :(
How long would battery last ?
I'd buy a razer viper mini wireless version if they made a non signiture edition of it cuz that price tag is absolutely ridiculous.
they did say they will make a non signature edition soon
@@albiflora nice, thanks for the information
@@rogermichto6359 np
I loved everything about the original EXCEPT the middle click dying after around 4 months. I went through 4 of these and they all had the exact same issue.
Can you make a review on G-Wolves HTX ACE and 4K wireless mouse. I want to know the detail of the mouse. Thank you.
the Hyperpolling dongle was never $100. It's only $15 (50% off with the coupon code that's still working, $30 without the coupon)
dang i wish it is affortable. im cool with the wholes but with LED popping out of the cut out. instant like.
It's hard to imagine how much dirt will accumulate in the crevices and inside after long-term use
bruh, we just asked for viper mini wireless. they went overboard wth.
Finally bought one, thanks for the video.
Its like a concept car, promising design with features that are more for shows than practicality.
60 hours battery life for that price 280$?, comparing the last finalmouse 160 hours in 190$
Which is why I addressed the fast charging it has
What is that mousepad?
BTW the 4k dongle actually only costs $29.99 separately
I had really had to do a double take when he said the dongle was $100
I'm always confused with open mices like these. Like, how tf would you even clean this? Or do you just always have to tuck this in a drawer every time you're done using it so dust and gunk wouldn't built up inside the mouse?
Use compressed air to clean it out. Or a hand air pump thingie. Tbf im a fingertipper so my hand doesnt really sit on the back of my mice but dust still builds up and compressed air works just fine for me
@@somapapp2944 I sweat a lot on my palm to the point I can't play games without a fan pointing at my hand. With that in mind, I can't imagine myself using this mouse
@@EIsenah Valid point. Most mice with holes do have some kind of water repellant protection. Not sure about this one tho, in the shot where he showed the LED the PCB looked pretty exposed...
I use a pulsefire haste and the whole PCB is covered with plastic. Adds a couple of grams but for the protection it's a fair trade imo.
What monitor is he using?
0:50 or my third option : you absolutely love it and wish you could afford it just because it looks sick. also white would be cool
What game are you playing?
Idk if its limited but if it isnt it should go down in price slowly
I really need this, viper mini was the best mouse for me 3 years and counting, I bought viper mini from release and still no issue best mouse ever made no cap, if I get this mouse I will put my viper mini at the hall of fame. RAZER, best company, thank you for finally making this mouse
Razer has been losing me on the cost lately. $150 for the last couple and now $300 for this one plus $250 for that PS5 pro controller is just too much.
5:13/9:59 What Iphone case is that?
