Mg-alloy is tough and is also used in making the frame of most high-end professional cameras (Nikoon, Canon, Sony) that are supposed to take the rough and tumble of the wild. I remember having a 2012 Dell Vostro business laptop that had a Mg-alloy frame, and once it slid off a shelf about 5-feet high on to a hard cement floor. Only damage was a bent DVD drive that popped out and a slight crack on the plastic surrounding the charging port. Used it for 3-4 years and it worked like nothing happened. I still wonder how it survived being so much heavier by today's standards. Surely, built like a tank.

So Finalmouse just announced their new mouse called Ultralight X which is said to be 29g to 30g. Finalmouse have some major QC issues, Im happy that mine hasnt experienced any so far. But since I had to get mine imported to the UK it cost me around £200 anyways. @@CyborgNeko factor can be the same but quality control and inspection is up to the company. Wooting are an incredible company that quality control their products with care. it's about the effort of the business
My legitimate concern with the cutouts is *the exposed circuit boards.* I've had to repair too many circuits in *enclosed* systems from dirt & debris alone not to be sincerely concerned with exposed circuits in a space designed to be constantly touched by nature (not to mention the $280 price tag). A frosted or clear plastic barrier as an option would be nice, but would also inescapably lengthen the lifespan of any device with exposed boards. Also, the intro was an absolute ball-crusher. I paid $120 and $90 for two different razer mice. They both broke in a year. The $25 'gaming mouse' I bought off Amazon has lasted like 6 years now lol
Yeah, Razer quality control is absolute garbage. They used to be great when they were smaller and there was no competition - but now they're overpriced and unreliable. The more premium products are pretty much filled with problems and only their cheap stuff is more or less ok.
