Weller 107 showed up this week for $90 at local whiskey shop in L.A. - didn't bite. Suffering price fatigue after several other Buffalo Trace expressions have rolled through over the past few weeks. And this doesn't even include BTAC which supposedly rolls out this month at SRP of $99 - ROFL! Still waiting for Elijah Craig Barrel Proof - a lot more bang for the buck.
Feels like the Guild is back!!
But when it was the Guild, Jules would be bringing balance. That usually meant he would bring the score down!

OWA is one of my favorites of any bottle out there. I’m a huge wheater fan for context. Price and availability do suck though. 🥃
It's listed at $50 in the NC system, but I've never seen it on the shelves here. So, not sure the price matters. (June 2022)

Mike Snook a daily drinker doesn’t have to be rated high. I’d say that my dailies are probably in the 75-85 rating range.
ap40 good point, I think 107 is great but I have yet to see one bottle on a shelf under $100. I’ve had to hunt and hunt and trade to get any at retail for sure
Mike Snook I was just going to mention that 107 is such a pain to find at a good price that I wouldn’t label it as a daily. Haha. The bottle I have was sent to me from Ohio (I think.... I believe the liquor prices are set by the state there).

He is an asshole drinker , he better get his hands on cheap jack daniel bottle for 15$ n drink it everyday . of course $100 plus for 107 is too high but u can’t score 76 for price value only . Think about quality n how hard buffalo trace works to bring it to ur glass , those 500 people working to make this dram enjoyable to u .
The ugly for this bottle: Buffalo Trace knows what goes on in the retail space and they continue to claim they have no influence or ability to influence how these bottles are sold and handled. There have also been confirmed cases of Buffalo Trace employees contributing to the counterfeiting and defacing of the pappy and Weller line and boosting of the craziness of BT products in the bourbon community.
Another thing that bothers me is almost every single bourbon reviewer on RUclips says, oh there’s no reason to buy this bottle at x amount or this is a great x dollar bottle but not higher, or there are other bottles at those inflated prices better than this, but in other videos, especially this channel, these guys have 10+ bottles and anybody who knows how hard it is to get weller knows that you only get that many by buying secondary or giving store owners kickbacks off of secondary sales or owning a store yourself or having half of your family show up to total wine on a Saturday morning and buying as many as you can, which is ridiculous.
I challenge this channel to put out a video that denounces these practices and speaks out about the accountability of Buffalo Trace and also talks about those “other bottles” that are supposedly just as good or have great comparable flavors. I enjoy the Weller line especially the full proof and the closest thing to it is Makers Mark and it still falls really short.
U guys better score it for nose, palate , finish and price value . Scoring for only price tag is stupid . 76 point ?? Wtf ???
43 bucks here in Ohio I just went in my local liquor store a week ago and they had a display with no set limit .

It's funny to watch this review and the other 2 times you reviewed the Antique 107 on the Guild. Your scores have definitely changed from the first time you reviewed it. You all still like it but your opinions have changed. Still a solid review

I was wondering how you guys got an 83 on Weller 107. Jules gave Buffalo Trace an early Christmas Present. He must have been blinded by Buffalo Trace's Christmas Lights from last year. (FYI - BT puts up Christmas lights this time of year so that you can drive the entire distillery and admire.)
