I'm holding out for the Jefferson's Ocean aged at the center of the Earth. I hear the heat, pressure, and natural rotation of the Earth impart a very unique flavor profile.

One thing to consider. I think you guys have some score inflation. One thing that jumps out is that you clearly dont like the fish, but it still scored a 6. If, for example, the lowest finish score a whisky will get is a 5 -- then maybe it should be a 5 point category. You might consider halfing some of these categories so that bad whisky scores 1 or 0 where appropriate.
It just feels weird that a whisky you guys did not enjoy still scored a bronze, and it just seems like it was carried by free points.

I’ve tried a few Jefferson’s at friend’s houses and always had to pretend that it wasn’t bad, just to be polite.

Have never tried Jefferson's. You have not convinced me to give them a shot.

I guess I agree with you guys in that this is academically interesting because of what it’s trying to do and also because it’s not a “finished” whiskey, i feel like I have no reason to spend money on this because there’s so many other good non-gimmick spirits from legacy distilleries that I haven’t tried. Basically the only people who might want to try this would be people as far along in their whiskey journey as you guys.

This was the most nonchalant, matter of fact, I just wanna go home, what's for dinner, who's playing tonight review of a mediocre whiskey I've ever seen. loved it.

I would love to hear you guys do a deeper discussion and maybe some research on whether NDP producers are ever actually able to source good whiskey, it just seems like why would a distillery sell their product to an NDP if the distillery thought the whiskey was good and they could sell it themselves? It just seems like NDP’s exist only as an outlet for all the reject whiskey that gets produced.

I contend that you CANNOT judge a whiskey if you spit it out. Placing a rating on a finish when you DIDNT FINISH is disingenuous bullshit, and there is no post-finish reflection on your drink. Judging on nose and a swish is embarrassingly incomplete. I agree, Curiosity Public, these lames just swish and spit and shouldn't rate anything as their process is fatally flawed.

Jeffersons sucks so much. I bought the very old very small batch for $100 Canadian (73USD) and it is so watery, basic and forgettable... Lame-O
