Jeff, I have always enjoyed most of your videos, BUT first the important concerns Toyota needs to address is the price point, when Mexico is manufacturing the Tacoma, and they are being paid a much lower wage, that's ridiculous for us Americans with its HIGH prices, this has nothing to do with politics, or inflation but corporate greed from Toyota. My other concern is most recently the recalls for its Tacoma, and the Tundra models, for christ sake fix those issues before the product hits the sales floor and the consumer becomes the owner. I am a loyal Toyota consumer, if the company continues to do these shady practices, then I will take my business elsewhere.
I totally agree with you, I'm a toyota fan but kinda think the greed and shady practices is going to far.

The latest news about the 2024 Tacoma is that the transmissions are failing, it’s going to be a class action lawsuit or a major recall.. I’d stay far away til they fix that, also the trd pro is a bit disappointing concerning the front suspension.. it’s still very disappointing as far as suspension travel is concerned, if one wants this for serious off road travel you’d benefit greatly from increasing the front suspension travel with a long travel suspension $$ let’s remember how expensive the pro package is.. it’s basically garbage.. I have owned 3 Toyotas.. the front suspension was always the limiting factor.
Not defending Toyota. But I have family friend who works management at Honda. He says labor is only about 5-7%. So a drop in labor prices isn't a big impact on overall price
What they really need to address is their horrific quality Toyota anymore has turned to💩

Hi Jeff- Its a nice truck, but here is the problem:
2017 TRD Pro with delivery tax and doc fees $47,305 (with inflation = $60,631)
2023 TRD Pro with delivery tax and doc fees $56,475 (with inflation = $58,230)
2024 TRD Pro with delivery tax and doc fees $70,622 (25.1% increase)
It is not worth $14,147 more than the previous model. AND- adding $2,783 is down right dumb.
In my area (Ohio) after tax and doc fees, the total for this truck is $73,613.85.
Ridiculously overpriced across ALL trim levels
inflation worldwide, cars are not cheap anymore. The men in power are doing this

It looks pretty nice and I don’t doubt all those new off-road features are a big improvement compared with the old TRD-PRO,but,almost $70k before taxes for a small Pick up truck,Jesus,the whole affordable Toyota cars is part of the past now.

68k is a joke. Manufactured in Mexico, hybrid twin turbo 4 banger, no Toyota enthusiast wants that. It's no longer affordable and its no longer reliable. Only an idiot would pay for that. The only upgrade this truck has from the previous generations, is it now has 4 wheel disc brakes, which this video failed to mention.

Very nice looking TRD Pro. It's just way over priced and no room in the back for passengers. I'll wait for the 2025 4runner to come out and see how that will be.

Profit! The plastic bed is slicker than a minnow's dick; the old bed mat was $110, spray on bed liner is $700.

So tired of these so called automotive journalists that claim to be unbiased doing commercials for Toyota. Guess it must pay well. I went to my local Toyota dealer this morning to window shop. Funny how a few months changes things. A few months ago dealers were charging over MSRP for Tacomas, now they can’t give them away. There was at least 50 2025 Tacomas for sale. And at least 50 Tundras. No RAV 4’s, no Corollas of any kind, no Camrys, no 4RUNNERS was on the dealership lot. This was at a Fred Anderson dealership as well. Where they are well known for their “family plan “ and notorious for their dealer add on sticker of $1600 for window tint, locking lug nuts, and floor mats. Vehicles aren’t selling yet the dealers continue to play these silly games.

I have owned 7 Toyota trucks but this is just overpriced with cramped rear seating. Yota reliability is becoming an issue as well. A Ranger Raptor at 57k is a much better deal which is why I bought one instead.

I was dead set on getting a new RRD PRO but just can't see myself with a hybrid or 4 cylinder, especially when it's ridiculously overpriced Compared to say the Ford Ranger. Raptor. I've called several Ford dealers here in New Jersey.Willing to factory order me a Ranger Raptor for MSRP the TRD PRO will easily go for over 70K with dealer markup and the Raptor has way more performance
Why not hybrid? It's the next best thing for Tacomas, especially since fuel economy isn't too great with power per dollar in mind.

These hybrids Toyota is using in the Tundras/tacoma aren't necessarily that efficient.
@@donjuan2105 Still making more miles to the gallon than my 2014, all while providing the near same amount of power as the V6, as an I4, mind you. That in itself is an improvement. Sure, it's not leaps and bounds, but hybrid technology will improve as time goes on, especially since it's Toyota, who are renowned for their rnd and hybrid tech.

To experience and back seats don’t have enough room , at that point - lower price and with no room they can make it a two door and if you want space make it a maga cab aka extended like the ram does

Too expensive and not sure I trust a 4cyl turbo in a pickup. That's coming from a loyal Toyota owner with a 5.7L Tundra and a Corolla. I had Toyotas most of my adult life. I'm disappointed with these ridiculous prices!!!! Did I mention prices!!!!

No matter how hard you try to make the pickup something surprising, it is very expensive. Better lose the Time with Toyota to adjust the pressure as it should have been from the beginning.

I mean, I like it but its just too expensive, TRD offroad go for the way, even if its 50k+ The premium offroad is pretty much kind of better, Needs option to remove isodynamic seats for em kids and adults, 70k+ is insane. TRD offroad is like a good truck, even without LED turn signals. We have a 23’ 50k TRD sport which is fully loaded.
