I subscribed because I was so impressed by her sweet and truly kind nature. After a rough day, sometimes you need a sweet voice to smooth the edges. Another one who does that for me, a makeup artist out of Paris, Ali Andreea. She is amazing as an artist as well as sweet & humorous.

So 4 weeks ago after watching you started low carb. I never went through cravings, I had some headaches, Himalayan salt helped with the headaches. Recently I went to my primary care and got my test results I was almost perfect she was extremely surprised. My thyroid for the first time in five years was at a level that was acceptable. My cholesterol was lowest it has ever been. I feel good, thanks to your friendship advice
Yes!! I’m 57 years old and for the first time my labs were almost perfect. My potassium was a hair low, but I take a diuretic combo drug for blood pressure.

I'm 3.5 years keto, and now mainly carnivore. I am 48 with no more joint pain. I have vastly improved my mental health (depression and anxiety). All of my labs and my vitals are great! I don't think about my weight anymore, as I have normalized and don't have to worry about it anymore! Love Dr Boz!

As a nurse I know that most traditional Doctors know very little about nutrition. They take 1 class in all their schooling. I agree with all you’re saying. In medicine we need to focus more on diet and individualizing it to the person
Not sure if it was Hippocrates who said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." Went to a naturopath 25 years ago. This is pretty much the diet he told me to eat. No talk of keto then. Just eat small meat portions, green leafy veggies/ broccoli etc and avoid the white stuff. I also stopped coffee. Went through the detox (keto flu). I still cheat occasionally but I like the energy, lack of bloating and inflammation, I get from this lifestyle. I was very sick prior. IBS, bronchitis right through winter months, migraines, mild arthritis. All gone now. Skin improved, brain fog gone. It's worth the change.
Try cooking in duck fat. So delicious. Once you heal your guts you will be able to eat whatever you want. I started carnivore and then went keto and since my gut has healed, I can eat things that previously put me in anaphylactic shock. Glad you feel better ❤ Elle
I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 weeks now. I eat from 8-4 because if I don’t eat breakfast, I can’t think straight at work. I’ve lost 4lbs and wake up feeling so much better in the morning instead of feeling heavy and sluggish. I feel like instead of using energy to digest food while I sleep, my body can now focus on other processes. The first couple of days were hard but once you start to feel so much better, it’s worth it!

Hi Lisa. I just recently discovered your channel and am so glad that I did. I appreciate how friendly, informative and inspiring you are. My husband and I are back to keto-actually ketovore this time-because we feel so much better when we eat this way, most especially when it come to our digestive, joint and skin health. I wish we had never strayed from keto for the last 3 years and fallen back into habits like allowing grain carbs on “taco Tuesdays” and “pizza Fridays”. We have only been back to keto for 11 days and we already feel so much better. It is honestly a relief.
So I started keto 3 weeks ago and noticed that the chronic urticaria that I have struggled with for 19 years has completely disappeared. I have had this rash somewhere on my body or felt an itching sensation everyday for 19 years. I am blown away by this development in my skin. I had no idea when I started this that it would bring so many benefits. I have lost 10 pounds and my joint pain has already decreased by at least half. Thank you for making this series. It finally gave me the push I needed to stop making excuses and commit. 💕

Some people refer to Keto as “clean” or “dirty keto”. In the beginning lazy keto/dirty keto works just fine!!! The more you know, the better you do as time goes on. I love watching how excited you are. I’ve done keto for a long time...there is no way I could go back. And ...I wish I could afford a VB dress.

Been doing keto carnivore for over a year now, down almost 35 menopause pounds and feel fabulous. I too watch Dr Berry, Dr Boz, and Thomas DeLauer. I have watched Dr Berg just don’t like the pushing of his products. I also enjoy 2 fit docs. Dr Berry is my go to, no nonsense, eat the real food not the packaged crap. The proper human diet as he says. So thrilled you have found what works for you!
chari nargi wow ! 35 menopause pounds ...good girl ! I was plant based for a year , weight still there and starch kills me ! I am post menopausal went into it at 53 and it wrecked my life . My thyroid too and I went up two dress sizes from a size 10 😂😂😂. I cannot take this weight and feeling so unhappy from the inside if u know what I mean ! Eating meat is quite difficult for me but I started with chicken and veal and so far good ! Craving are so low I can manage them . I am trying to do OMAD too as I feel better with less food . Aurora26 You can do this, stick to it and give yourself time to heal before expecting huge scale results. We are all so different and we ladies compare which is dangerous. I eat a lot of ground beef now, shrimp and salmon about every week to 10 days and not much chicken. I have tried organs but I just can’t stomach them. My weight came off slower than Lisa’s but I am older too, 60 in a few months. I feel great and yes I have exercised throughout my journey, I have to say it’s a joy now, no stiffness , aches etc. I ride our peloton 3-4 days a week, walk or mow the grass or functional fitness exercises like Barre the other days. The bike is a new addition as in did spin classes years ago and loved it. It is wonderful to be back and riding. I suggest find what you enjoy but exercise isn’t mandatory for ketovore success but sure helps my body feel great and I can wear shorts again! Wishing you good health, mental clarity and a desire to move as your stick with a disciplined approach to the proper human diet. Be sure to follow Dr Ken Berry, he has motivated me so very much . After watching your first vlog about what you were doing, I realized how much better I had felt on keto/ wheat belly. I have been miserable trying to eat "healthy" with veggies and almond flour. You made so much sense, NUTS, Hello!! I cannot take it. We started eating baked goods again, knowing the pain they cause us, very likely celiac. I started eating pork rinds with cheese, bacon bits and pepperoni and LOVING it. I didn't need pain meds or gas X! I cannot get enough of your vlogs now, thank you for this. Eating baked goods-meaning breads, pastries, bagels etc. caused a huge spike in sweet cravings, unbearable! I'm jumping back on this, thank you! Physically, I cannot do this. NO grains. I also have to boil ALL veggies to get out some of the starches. Try it. I'm back at this and having NO cravings. Yes!!

Love this video! I recently started Carnivore and feel way less bloated and my skin is healing (was previously vegetarian mostly, and didn't eat meats). I've noticed some health improvements in my sleep, skin, energy, attitude (much better hahaha!), and my gut... already in just weeks. You're so easy to listen to and explain things very well... I didn’t really like meat before. Now that I’m carnivore, I’m craving it all the time. And by veggies, on keto, you cannot eat sweet potatoes or anything. Green veggies mostly. I did keto for 2 years and just recently switched to carnivore. Unfortunately there are people that believe only what a doctor says. They were not trained in nutrition. We need to research ourselves and be accountable for our own health and well-being. And Dr. Boz is awesome!! I have her book, as well as “Lies My Doctor Told Me” by Dr. Ken Berry. Kerrygold butter is the bomb! Bacon grease is great for cooking eggs too!💛
Sarah Smile I’m really bad at explaining things. What I do is I choose tree days out the week like Monday and Tuesday and Friday to eat a really low carbohydrate meals lots o vegetables and meats just what Lisa is doing. I only eat two meal a day between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm . The rest of the week I eat what ever I like. But u don’t have any food restrictions and I workout 5 day a week. I like to exercise that’s why I do it I’m 42 and start this life style at 39 is been over 3 years now and I don’t think I’ll would stop doing this. I hope this explanation helps! @@zamaa6727 The reason for Carb cycling is so that she has energy to workout and lift. She can go longer periods of cardio if she cycles in carbs. If you want to lose weight initially, dont cycle carbs! You will never get into Ketosis. I assume Zama A has hit her goal weight and she is maintaining her weight at this moment. Did not mean to interject, hope this helped explain it a bit more.
Been on Keto for one week. So far I’ve lost four pounds. The headaches and nausea the first 3-4 days were rough but now it’s passed. On thing I’ve noticed is my abdomen isn’t bloated. I have been constipated. Mainly eat eggs in various permutations, salmon, trout, organic turkey bacon and roasted chicken. I’ve had a few salads, avocados and green beans. Fruit wise I’ve been eating strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. Pre-Keto I ate muffins, cake, pie, doughnuts, anything sweet. I’ve not craved these things except on the second night. I eat two meals a day.
Annalina Cifani WRONG. The body doesn’t “detox” . We all have a LIVER for that. She is experiencing signs of dehydration. Our bodies do not “heal” from eliminating food groups. Please do not post things like this without scientific backing. I understand you want to offer encouragement but talking about “detoxification” can be deadly in some cases.

I discovered your channel a few months ago, and recently started diving into these older videos from when you started Carnivore. I will be 50 in a few weeks and am so inspired by your journey! This video was wonderful and for the first time since I started experiencing all my terrible digestive issues 3 years ago, I don't feel crazy! Like you, I have been to all the doctors and had all the tests. They have all eventually resorted to recommending the Fodmap diet, which does NOT work for me because almost all vegetables wreak havoc on my gut. The thing you said in this video that really made me realize I'm not alone, is that you told the doctors that you felt like there was a "ball in your stomach". That is literally how I would try to explain it to my doctor, and he never understood. It was maddening. I finally gave up with the doctors and am doing this on my own. Thank you for being so real and genuine, and never stop sharing your story! ❤

Si now I eat more fatty fish, avocados, olive oil in spray, chicken, etc... I have lost my menopausal weight and I Look and feel fabulous. I have been sick with I believe IBS....and lost 5 kilograms in 3 weeks....not good! I want to lose weight but I want to feel good. Day 1 of carnivore....(tried in the past, but I forgot my why 😂) So far I haven't been sick today! Never apologize.....you are great, telling about what works for you. When I did carnivore in the past, I loved it because it was so easy, I had energy (with keto I was just tired).

I eat vegetables, fruits, meats. No processed foods. I grill,cook,bake,make soups at home.

We started keto a while back and we make what we like to call “egg bakes “ so we can have them quick in the morning or take them with us , we bake them in muffins tins , eggs sausage,cheese, mushrooms if you want
I've started Keto and I find it really good as I didn't eat a lot of bad food but the weight and aches and pains came into my body after Menopause and when I retired as I wasn't so active. I have subscribed to the doctors that you recommended and found them such a help. I do intermittent fasting and eat at 12 noon. I usually have scrambled eggs or bacon and eggs My evening meal is the same as I used to eat without potatoes and starchy vegetables. I shopped today but I have trouble finding the brands that are mentioned as I'm in Australia. I'm researching Aussie Doctors as well, but the main lesson I learnt was to READS THE LABELS! I had surgery recently and have had terrible swelling. I cut carbs and what do you know, my swelling has gotten so much better and my joints don’t hurt anymore either. I used to do Atkins 20 yrs ago and it felt good but I had gotten away from it. Have had terrible body pain since. Now this surgery has really forced me to be honest with my body and carbs. No sugar for me or carbs. Some ppl’s bodies do better with certain diets and this just makes me feel better. Thank you for your honest
Thank you so much for this video! It’s so inspirational! I’m starting today. At 32 I have been feeling so ill. Horrible migraines that last for days. I also have 60lbs to lose. 2 years ago I did a no carb diet and felt so great and lost 30lbs in 10 months. Even my migraines went away! Unfortunately I fell of the band wagon and I’m back with the weight and even more and feel so ill. Thank you for the inspiration I needed to try again. I’d love a weekly series of what you eat in a day. When I was eating like that I would get bored with the food after a while. I’d love some inspiration with recipes!
Wow, there are A LOT of comments so you’ll probably never see this but you’re right when you say these are not diets, they are all lifestyles. I was vegetarian for 13 years and my lowest weight, whatever, and felt the best I’ve ever felt. Had to stop for my job but planning to start again soon. If you wanna shut up all the naysayers, you should get your bloodwork done and post your LDL, HDL, TG, etc. If your numbers are good then keep it up (I bet they are but still...science). If keto is making your numbers worse then better to know. Anyway, been watching you forever and you’re looking GREAT! ❤️
I did read that initially your cholesterol numbers may elevate, esp if you have a lot to lose, because your body is dumping the fat. Cholesterol will eventually drop, just need to stick with it.
Great video, Lisa! I went off of all red meat for about 6 months because it was being blamed for my cholesterol and I felt awful! My Platelets bottomed out & my bloodwork was a nightmare in general. I'm back on the red meat and veggies and my bloodwork is gradually getting better and my cholesterol did not get worse from the red meat whatsoever. My HDL is actually 122, which is great! My brother has epilepsy and I'd really like to see him try the keto diet!
Beauty tips in all categories can be helpful and a lot of fun. However, this Keto/Carnivore journey will most likely be one of the most important raising of awareness you will ever share. I have suffered for almost seven years with many of the same symptoms that you describe. For me the worst swelling was in my face and abdomen - every time I would eat a so-called balanced meal I would end up looking 3 to 4 mos. pregnant. My obgyn handed me a large card and told me to start the keto diet. My primary doctor (internal medicine) tried to scare me half to death over keto - told me heart disease and high cholesterol would destroy my health. He has no clue how debilitating this condition feels. I knew I was sick. After research I have decided to go back but to carnivore. Meat is the only food now that gives me any relief. Things might change back to sort of ketovore , but for now I have much healing to work towards. Thank you so very much for using your platform in this manner - I know you are going to help some of us women out here. Btw - I am 56 and menopausal.
You will find the healing happens fast if you stick to this. What Lisa calls Keto flu or my naturopath calls detoxing, will make you wonder if you are on the right track. Drink loads of water, try to sleep through the worst of it. Usually lasts a few days. The health benefits are amazing! You will notice big changes in 3 weeks. I was very sick from my teens, went to a naturopath at 32 (doctors didn't know what was wrong & told me I would have to learn to live with symptoms) and am now 57. I do it because the alternative is illness. Added benefit, amazing blood sugar levels, low triglycerides, good cholesterol levels.

My doctor told me years ago to eat meat and veggies to stay healthy. He did my blood work weekly for a time since I was anemic. Fast forward to menopause, and he no longer sees patients, I began Keto and IF. I have lost weight, never feel hungry, and back to being as healthy as possible. My husband noticed my weight loss and since he is pre diabetic, heart disease, and metabolic syndrome, began the lifestyle also. I believe this will heal his heart, his weight and everything else. This video is so good! Great explanations and tips. I’ve been keto/carnivore for about 3 years when I was starting menopause and had similar symptoms. It’s so easy to get bogged down in the “rules” and fail or be overwhelmed.

I wonder if you have any possible feedback as to why it is not working for me, I have been watching Dr. Berg for a long time and I love him, and I have been reading a lot on intermittent fasting and keto and watching videos, and since it has not been working I have been trying to figure out why and what I can change but cannot seem to nail it. I am doing keto and intermittent fasting it's now around 25 days, I am very diligent about it, I eat following the rule, I totally cut out all processed foods (which for me was mostly only pasta) and carbs to the bone, I am eating big salads, salmon, mackerel, meat, chicken, tuna etc. different veggies, avocados, I have been on 16:8 for most of the time, I cannot (yet) push it further because I am still so hungry and feel lightheaded (which following dr. Berg means I am not yet there) and I had initially lost 2kg (4pounds) but I got them back so I have lost nothing, and I am extremely hungry all the time. More info is that I am 49, not yet into menopause or any symptoms of pre yet, but I have Hashimoto and hypothyroidism (and I cannot for the life of me find a good doctor to help me with that, I have ben trying forever) and I am insulin resistant. So, do I just have to be patient and hope that it all starts working? any possible ideas and tips? I only drink black coffee in the morning with a teaspoon of coconut oil in it, to help me get to lunch. I am not sure if I am not eating enough and if I should eat more fats and more in general or the opposite, very confused. I keep reading and seeing so many great results and cannot figure out why nothing is happening for me, and I really am not cheating....I will keep trying to find information and will order some keto strips to figure out if I am not in keto...could it be that the thyroid and the insulin are still keeping me back and I need to just be patient and keep going at it? I want to lose around 20-30 pounds...I wanted to add that I am also taking electrolyte supplements, and that while I really want to slim down and feel better about getting back into my clothes, I really want to feel healthier, as I have not been well for so long, and I can so relate to what you talk about, of not feeling well for so much. Exhaustion, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue...I have read so many things about the benefits that I am convinced, I am just not figuring out why my body seems to remain stubbornly fixed...I really appreciate any ideas, and encouragement I can get because it is so frustrating and I am really determined and focused...thanks for reading this very long message, much love from Italy 🌸
The thing is about the medical doctors is they don’t study nutrition, or how foods and different chemicals in products affect the body. I have been to several doctors and NONE of them asked me about how or what I am eating. Thank you for all the info beautiful ♥️

My husband and I went keto last year. He lost 50 pounds! I lost 15. During that time we both felt so much better. I had always battled joint issues. Suddenly they were gone, along with my stomach issues. My feet and lower back pain, GONE. This was a side effect that was a mind blowing bonus. I had been searching for healthier eating options. Couldn’t believe I could just not be hungry or crave anything. Your journey reminded me of all the diets I too have tried. Weight watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutri-system, counting calories, extreme exercise to name a few. Many of them were a daily battle of strong will to adhere to. Many were ridiculously expensive or took up so much time to travel to meetings etc. You can stick to keto because you are not feeling deprived. You can shop anywhere and actually save when you quit buying junk!! Best of all, if I eat out I can almost always find options that work for my diet. Long story...during the covid lockdowns and after being given medications that messed with my metabolism, I have gained it all back!! So sad that nothing in my closet fits! Plus menopause is making things harder. Your video couldn’t have come at a better time and feels like a sign or the kick in the @$$ that I totally needed. You look so great in your red dress!! Thank you thank thank you!! I feel hopeful again!! Keep your videos coming! Love them, love your style and how candid and helpful you are!! Look forward to them!!
I'm starting this on Tuesday Lisa every thing you said about how you felt before it is me! I'm 41 in November and feel horrendous ive gained lots of weight this year and need it off for my own confidence but for health as I feel awful! Your videos have really helped me confirm I need to do this! My husband is going to do it with me for support. Hopefully in a month's time I'm going to be feeling so much better. So 4 weeks ago after watching you started low carb. I never went through cravings, I had some headaches, Himalayan salt helped with the headaches. Recently I went to my primary care and got my test results I was almost perfect she was extremely surprised. My thyroid for the first time in five years was at a level that was acceptable. My cholesterol was lowest it has ever been. I feel good, thanks to your friendship advice

I'm 3.5 years keto, and now mainly carnivore. I am 48 with no more joint pain. I have vastly improved my mental health (depression and anxiety). All of my labs and my vitals are great! I don't think about my weight anymore, as I have normalized and don't have to worry about it anymore! Love Dr Boz!

As a nurse I know that most traditional Doctors know very little about nutrition. They take 1 class in all their schooling. I agree with all you’re saying. In medicine we need to focus more on diet and individualizing it to the person

Not sure if it was Hippocrates who said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." Went to a naturopath 25 years ago. This is pretty much the diet he told me to eat. No talk of keto then. Just eat small meat portions, green leafy veggies/ broccoli etc and avoid the white stuff. I also stopped coffee. Went through the detox (keto flu). I still cheat occasionally but I like the energy, lack of bloating and inflammation, I get from this lifestyle. I was very sick prior. IBS, bronchitis right through winter months, migraines, mild arthritis. All gone now. Skin improved, brain fog gone. It's worth the change.

Try cooking in duck fat. So delicious. Once you heal your guts you will be able to eat whatever you want. I started carnivore and then went keto and since my gut has healed, I can eat things that previously put me in anaphylactic shock. Glad you feel better ❤ Elle
I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 weeks now. I eat from 8-4 because if I don’t eat breakfast, I can’t think straight at work. I’ve lost 4lbs and wake up feeling so much better in the morning instead of feeling heavy and sluggish. I feel like instead of using energy to digest food while I sleep, my body can now focus on other processes. The first couple of days were hard but once you start to feel so much better, it’s worth it!

So I started keto 3 weeks ago and noticed that the chronic urticaria that I have struggled with for 19 years has completely disappeared. I have had this rash somewhere on my body or felt an itching sensation everyday for 19 years. I am blown away by this development in my skin. I had no idea when I started this that it would bring so many benefits. I have lost 10 pounds and my joint pain has already decreased by at least half. Thank you for making this series. It finally gave me the push I needed to stop making excuses and commit. 💕

Some people refer to Keto as “clean” or “dirty keto”. In the beginning lazy keto/dirty keto works just fine!!! The more you know, the better you do as time goes on. I love watching how excited you are. I’ve done keto for a long time...there is no way I could go back. And ...I wish I could afford a VB dress.

Been doing keto carnivore for over a year now, down almost 35 menopause pounds and feel fabulous. I too watch Dr Berry, Dr Boz, and Thomas DeLauer. I have watched Dr Berg just don’t like the pushing of his products. I also enjoy 2 fit docs. Dr Berry is my go to, no nonsense, eat the real food not the packaged crap. The proper human diet as he says. So thrilled you have found what works for you!

chari nargi wow ! 35 menopause pounds ...good girl ! I was plant based for a year , weight still there and starch kills me ! I am post menopausal went into it at 53 and it wrecked my life . My thyroid too and I went up two dress sizes from a size 10 😂😂😂. I cannot take this weight and feeling so unhappy from the inside if u know what I mean ! Eating meat is quite difficult for me but I started with chicken and veal and so far good ! Craving are so low I can manage them . I am trying to do OMAD too as I feel better with less food . Aurora26 You can do this, stick to it and give yourself time to heal before expecting huge scale results. We are all so different and we ladies compare which is dangerous. I eat a lot of ground beef now, shrimp and salmon about every week to 10 days and not much chicken. I have tried organs but I just can’t stomach them. My weight came off slower than Lisa’s but I am older too, 60 in a few months. I feel great and yes I have exercised throughout my journey, I have to say it’s a joy now, no stiffness , aches etc. I ride our peloton 3-4 days a week, walk or mow the grass or functional fitness exercises like Barre the other days. The bike is a new addition as in did spin classes years ago and loved it. It is wonderful to be back and riding. I suggest find what you enjoy but exercise isn’t mandatory for ketovore success but sure helps my body feel great and I can wear shorts again! Wishing you good health, mental clarity and a desire to move as your stick with a disciplined approach to the proper human diet. Be sure to follow Dr Ken Berry, he has motivated me so very much . After watching your first vlog about what you were doing, I realized how much better I had felt on keto/ wheat belly. I have been miserable trying to eat "healthy" with veggies and almond flour. You made so much sense, NUTS, Hello!! I cannot take it. We started eating baked goods again, knowing the pain they cause us, very likely celiac. I started eating pork rinds with cheese, bacon bits and pepperoni and LOVING it. I didn't need pain meds or gas X! I cannot get enough of your vlogs now, thank you for this. Eating baked goods-meaning breads, pastries, bagels etc. caused a huge spike in sweet cravings, unbearable! I'm jumping back on this, thank you! Physically, I cannot do this. NO grains. I also have to boil ALL veggies to get out some of the starches. Try it. I'm back at this and having NO cravings. Yes!!

Love this video! I recently started Carnivore and feel way less bloated and my skin is healing (was previously vegetarian mostly, and didn't eat meats). I've noticed some health improvements in my sleep, skin, energy, attitude (much better hahaha!), and my gut... already in just weeks. You're so easy to listen to and explain things very well... I didn’t really like meat before. Now that I’m carnivore, I’m craving it all the time. And by veggies, on keto, you cannot eat sweet potatoes or anything. Green veggies mostly. I did keto for 2 years and just recently switched to carnivore. Unfortunately there are people that believe only what a doctor says. They were not trained in nutrition. We need to research ourselves and be accountable for our own health and well-being. And Dr. Boz is awesome!! I have her book, as well as “Lies My Doctor Told Me” by Dr. Ken Berry. Kerrygold butter is the bomb! Bacon grease is great for cooking eggs too!💛

What I do is I choose tree days out the week like Monday and Tuesday and Friday to eat a really low carbohydrate meals lots o vegetables and meats just what Lisa is doing. I only eat two meal a day between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm . The rest of the week I eat what ever I like. But u don’t have any food restrictions and I workout 5 day a week. I like to exercise that’s why I do it I’m 42 and start this life style at 39 is been over 3 years now and I don’t think I’ll would stop doing this. I hope this explanation helps! @@zamaa6727 The reason for Carb cycling is so that she has energy to workout and lift. She can go longer periods of cardio if she cycles in carbs. If you want to lose weight initially, dont cycle carbs! You will never get into Ketosis. I assume Zama A has hit her goal weight and she is maintaining her weight at this moment. Did not mean to interject, hope this helped explain it a bit more.
Been on Keto for one week. So far I’ve lost four pounds. The headaches and nausea the first 3-4 days were rough but now it’s passed. On thing I’ve noticed is my abdomen isn’t bloated. I have been constipated. Mainly eat eggs in various permutations, salmon, trout, organic turkey bacon and roasted chicken. I’ve had a few salads, avocados and green beans. Fruit wise I’ve been eating strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. Pre-Keto I ate muffins, cake, pie, doughnuts, anything sweet. I’ve not craved these things except on the second night. I eat two meals a day.

The headaches and nausea are detoxing signs. It is rough to get through but an excellent sign that the body is healing. Drinking lots of water helps.
Annalina Cifani WRONG. The body doesn’t “detox” . We all have a LIVER for that. She is experiencing signs of dehydration. Our bodies do not “heal” from eliminating food groups. Please do not post things like this without scientific backing. I understand you want to offer encouragement but talking about “detoxification” can be deadly in some cases.

I discovered your channel a few months ago, and recently started diving into these older videos from when you started Carnivore. I will be 50 in a few weeks and am so inspired by your journey! This video was wonderful and for the first time since I started experiencing all my terrible digestive issues 3 years ago, I don't feel crazy! Like you, I have been to all the doctors and had all the tests. They have all eventually resorted to recommending the Fodmap diet, which does NOT work for me because almost all vegetables wreak havoc on my gut. The thing you said in this video that really made me realize I'm not alone, is that you told the doctors that you felt like there was a "ball in your stomach". That is literally how I would try to explain it to my doctor, and he never understood. It was maddening. I finally gave up with the doctors and am doing this on my own. Thank you for being so real and genuine, and never stop sharing your story! ❤

I eat vegetables, fruits, meats. No processed foods. I grill,cook,bake,make soups at home.

We started keto a while back and we make what we like to call “egg bakes “ so we can have them quick in the morning or take them with us , we bake them in muffins tins , eggs sausage,cheese, mushrooms if you want
I've started Keto and I find it really good as I didn't eat a lot of bad food but the weight and aches and pains came into my body after Menopause and when I retired as I wasn't so active. I have subscribed to the doctors that you recommended and found them such a help. I do intermittent fasting and eat at 12 noon. I usually have scrambled eggs or bacon and eggs My evening meal is the same as I used to eat without potatoes and starchy vegetables. I shopped today but I have trouble finding the brands that are mentioned as I'm in Australia. I'm researching Aussie Doctors as well, but the main lesson I learnt was to READS THE LABELS!

Lisa I am Keto then i lost all this weight felt so good i went back to eating like crap again. Now am back on keto and yes I eat chicken, turkey, and I feel good. no gas, or bloating stomach pain etc. thank you for your information as well. blessings to you and your family.

I had surgery recently and have had terrible swelling. I cut carbs and what do you know, my swelling has gotten so much better and my joints don’t hurt anymore either. I used to do Atkins 20 yrs ago and it felt good but I had gotten away from it. Have had terrible body pain since. Now this surgery has really forced me to be honest with my body and carbs. No sugar for me or carbs. Some ppl’s bodies do better with certain diets and this just makes me feel better. Thank you for your honest

Thank you so much for this video! It’s so inspirational! I’m starting today. At 32 I have been feeling so ill. Horrible migraines that last for days. I also have 60lbs to lose. 2 years ago I did a no carb diet and felt so great and lost 30lbs in 10 months. Even my migraines went away! Unfortunately I fell of the band wagon and I’m back with the weight and even more and feel so ill. Thank you for the inspiration I needed to try again. I’d love a weekly series of what you eat in a day. When I was eating like that I would get bored with the food after a while. I’d love some inspiration with recipes!

Wow, there are A LOT of comments so you’ll probably never see this but you’re right when you say these are not diets, they are all lifestyles. I was vegetarian for 13 years and my lowest weight, whatever, and felt the best I’ve ever felt. Had to stop for my job but planning to start again soon. If you wanna shut up all the naysayers, you should get your bloodwork done and post your LDL, HDL, TG, etc. If your numbers are good then keep it up (I bet they are but still...science). If keto is making your numbers worse then better to know. Anyway, been watching you forever and you’re looking GREAT! ❤️
I did read that initially your cholesterol numbers may elevate, esp if you have a lot to lose, because your body is dumping the fat. Cholesterol will eventually drop, just need to stick with it.

Great video, Lisa! I went off of all red meat for about 6 months because it was being blamed for my cholesterol and I felt awful! My Platelets bottomed out & my bloodwork was a nightmare in general. I'm back on the red meat and veggies and my bloodwork is gradually getting better and my cholesterol did not get worse from the red meat whatsoever. My HDL is actually 122, which is great! My brother has epilepsy and I'd really like to see him try the keto diet!
Beauty tips in all categories can be helpful and a lot of fun. However, this Keto/Carnivore journey will most likely be one of the most important raising of awareness you will ever share. I have suffered for almost seven years with many of the same symptoms that you describe. For me the worst swelling was in my face and abdomen - every time I would eat a so-called balanced meal I would end up looking 3 to 4 mos. pregnant. My obgyn handed me a large card and told me to start the keto diet. My primary doctor (internal medicine) tried to scare me half to death over keto - told me heart disease and high cholesterol would destroy my health. He has no clue how debilitating this condition feels. I knew I was sick. After research I have decided to go back but to carnivore. Meat is the only food now that gives me any relief. Things might change back to sort of ketovore , but for now I have much healing to work towards. Thank you so very much for using your platform in this manner - I know you are going to help some of us women out here. Btw - I am 56 and menopausal.
You will find the healing happens fast if you stick to this. What Lisa calls Keto flu or my naturopath calls detoxing, will make you wonder if you are on the right track. Drink loads of water, try to sleep through the worst of it. Usually lasts a few days. The health benefits are amazing! You will notice big changes in 3 weeks. I was very sick from my teens, went to a naturopath at 32 (doctors didn't know what was wrong & told me I would have to learn to live with symptoms) and am now 57. I do it because the alternative is illness. Added benefit, amazing blood sugar levels, low triglycerides, good cholesterol levels.

My doctor told me years ago to eat meat and veggies to stay healthy. He did my blood work weekly for a time since I was anemic. Fast forward to menopause, and he no longer sees patients, I began Keto and IF. I have lost weight, never feel hungry, and back to being as healthy as possible. My husband noticed my weight loss and since he is pre diabetic, heart disease, and metabolic syndrome, began the lifestyle also. I believe this will heal his heart, his weight and everything else. This video is so good! Great explanations and tips. I’ve been keto/carnivore for about 3 years when I was starting menopause and had similar symptoms. It’s so easy to get bogged down in the “rules” and fail or be overwhelmed.

Dear Lisa, first of all, you look fabulous, relaxed and happy. It's really great that you are feeling so much better and this gives hope to all of us. Thank you wholeheartedly for sharing your experience. I watch A LOT of videos from docs, but I find that having the real experience of a real person is extremely helpful, especially since we have the same age and it makes this more relatable. I wonder if you have any possible feedback as to why it is not working for me, I have been watching Dr. Berg for a long time and I love him, and I have been reading a lot on intermittent fasting and keto and watching videos, and since it has not been working I have been trying to figure out why and what I can change but cannot seem to nail it. I am doing keto and intermittent fasting it's now around 25 days, I am very diligent about it, I eat following the rule, I totally cut out all processed foods (which for me was mostly only pasta) and carbs to the bone, I am eating big salads, salmon, mackerel, meat, chicken, tuna etc. different veggies, avocados, I have been on 16:8 for most of the time, I cannot (yet) push it further because I am still so hungry and feel lightheaded (which following dr. Berg means I am not yet there) and I had initially lost 2kg (4pounds) but I got them back so I have lost nothing, and I am extremely hungry all the time. More info is that I am 49, not yet into menopause or any symptoms of pre yet, but I have Hashimoto and hypothyroidism (and I cannot for the life of me find a good doctor to help me with that, I have ben trying forever) and I am insulin resistant. So, do I just have to be patient and hope that it all starts working? any possible ideas and tips? I only drink black coffee in the morning with a teaspoon of coconut oil in it, to help me get to lunch. I am not sure if I am not eating enough and if I should eat more fats and more in general or the opposite, very confused. I keep reading and seeing so many great results and cannot figure out why nothing is happening for me, and I really am not cheating....I will keep trying to find information and will order some keto strips to figure out if I am not in keto...could it be that the thyroid and the insulin are still keeping me back and I need to just be patient and keep going at it? I want to lose around 20-30 pounds...I wanted to add that I am also taking electrolyte supplements, and that while I really want to slim down and feel better about getting back into my clothes, I really want to feel healthier, as I have not been well for so long, and I can so relate to what you talk about, of not feeling well for so much. Exhaustion, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue...I have read so many things about the benefits that I am convinced, I am just not figuring out why my body seems to remain stubbornly fixed...I really appreciate any ideas, and encouragement I can get because it is so frustrating and I am really determined and focused...thanks for reading this very long message, much love from Italy 🌸

The thing is about the medical doctors is they don’t study nutrition, or how foods and different chemicals in products affect the body. I have been to several doctors and NONE of them asked me about how or what I am eating. Thank you for all the info beautiful ♥️

My husband and I went keto last year. He lost 50 pounds! I lost 15. During that time we both felt so much better. I had always battled joint issues. Suddenly they were gone, along with my stomach issues. My feet and lower back pain, GONE. This was a side effect that was a mind blowing bonus. I had been searching for healthier eating options. Couldn’t believe I could just not be hungry or crave anything. Your journey reminded me of all the diets I too have tried. Weight watchers, Jenny Craig, Nutri-system, counting calories, extreme exercise to name a few. Many of them were a daily battle of strong will to adhere to. Many were ridiculously expensive or took up so much time to travel to meetings etc. You can stick to keto because you are not feeling deprived. You can shop anywhere and actually save when you quit buying junk!! Best of all, if I eat out I can almost always find options that work for my diet. Long story...during the covid lockdowns and after being given medications that messed with my metabolism, I have gained it all back!! So sad that nothing in my closet fits! Plus menopause is making things harder. Your video couldn’t have come at a better time and feels like a sign or the kick in the @$$ that I totally needed. You look so great in your red dress!! Thank you thank thank you!! I feel hopeful again!! Keep your videos coming! Love them, love your style and how candid and helpful you are!! Look forward to them!!

I'm starting this on Tuesday Lisa every thing you said about how you felt before it is me! I'm 41 in November and feel horrendous ive gained lots of weight this year and need it off for my own confidence but for health as I feel awful! Your videos have really helped me confirm I need to do this! My husband is going to do it with me for support. Hopefully in a month's time I'm going to be feeling so much better.
