Regardless, the content of this video should indicate well enough that it doesn't suck as-is, considering Sam put several days of his life into it. They took the tech they showcased and made this game, cashed out on steam, sold the game with 1% of its promised features as a different title, stopped updating their backers on Kickstarter and refused to respond to people requesting refunds.
It's been a year since this came out. I watched it in the first lockdown, now I'm watching it in the third lockdown. I've been very productive clearly. This is real depression
This game is such a weird gem, it like Totally Accurate Dark Souls, except it's top down and you swing your weapons with mouse-movement. The arena is the best way to learn.
The mouse movement weapon swinging is really good design, it's something that can't be done on controllers, because the inertia and the speed of your own hand moving is what gives it such variability and realism.
God, this makes me wanna cry when a youtuber finds a deep down passion project game like this, and gives it a real pathway, real advertising to become something even better, to build on something with so much ambition. Thanks to general sam, and others like him we get to see gems like this develop far beyond what they may ever have. Now to buy it on steam lmao.

Finally Examina got the publicity it deserves. Honestly everyone should play this game. The unique fighting mechanics will feel unwieldy at your first couple of hours but once you get used to it, it grows on you. You will feel one with your sword swings as if you are controling it with your own hands. Then you get one shot killed by a zombie because you forgot to move in the right place. 10/10 underrated game.
This game is amazing! It has probably the single best combat system I've seen, the system itself is very simple but one never gets tired of it. If you have trouble with the story mode playing in the arena mode for practice.
