I LOVE this movie!!!! And it's amazing how when Logan said "So this is what it feels like", you can take it has "This is how love feel like" or being a dad or have a family, but also, "This is how dying feels like" So sad but so awesome!!
agreed! i definitely agree how that line is fitting for all those when it came to Logan, but when i first watched this, i viewed it as him finally realizing this is what it feels like to have a family and it's so bittersweet how he finally had that feeling of realization right before his death. 😩
So the movie takes places in 2029 and most the older mutants died off with no new mutants being born in 25 years. A year prior to the movie time , through one of his seizures X killed 7 of the last few X men and a couple hundred civilians. This movie is amazing and truly dark PS the adamantium is always attacking Logan but his healing factor is constantly battling it off, so naturally over time his healing factor gets much weaker which leads to the metal poisoning making it harder to heal. The Metal actually holds back his full potential
Also in the movie the doctor says that they were putting anti-mutant chemicals in food to suppress the mutant gene, this over time would have collected in Logan's body, thus weakening his healing.
I don't know if it was heard in the reaction itself or if someone pointed it out in the comments, but Laura Kinney (aka X-23), unlike most of the other mutants, was created in a lab - built to be a mutant with the same powers as Wolverine. (As well in comic) And yes, shes a real (and beloved) comic book character.

Something rare in the Fox movies here: we actually hear Logan's birth name of James Howlett. Logan's new family is called "the Howletts", and Pierce refers to him as "James" in their last talk.
15:39 You two are probably the first reactors to have seen Shane before checking out Logan. Full disclosure: the 1953 western was requested in May, but they had no idea it was gonna show up in this film.

If you remember from the beginning, Logan has always said "I'm no hero." It's a job and responsibility he never wanted. But he always rose to the occasion and did what needed to be done. Because it was the right thing to do and he knew no one else could do it. This movie is the completion of Logan's story arc that started with the original trilogy and the Logan trilogy. In the end he became a hero, taught new mutants to defend themselves and band together as a team, and after being told he could never reproduce . . . he has a daughter. He finally accepted his past, became who he was born to be and in the end, found peace. I hope Dafne Keen who played Laura comes back and becomes part of the "Young Avengers" as well as the MCU version of the X-Men. She poured her heart and soul into that role. Out of all the X-Men movies, Logan is definitely one of my favorites. Great reaction ;-)

Another sad thing when wolverine Logan is telling Charles " it's wasn't me it wasn't me" you have to understand wolverine is a lot older that Charles so he was comforting his child since they were close . And saved his new child.
I remember being in the theater and trying to hold in my tears at the end when Logan was dying. And then Laura let out the first daddy and held onto Logan. And I heard like 4/5 people let out whimpers or one of those sigh “ooooh nooo” and then everyone was crying and sniffling. I looked over at my girlfriend and her mascara was starting to run and she was wiping her nose. Man this movie it was like no one really had a clue how heavy it was gonna get. We came in ready to see Logan in rated R. But then about ten minutes in we all knew it was gonna be very very different from what we were expecting.
Xavier saying "I'm so sorry," as they wheel him through the hotel is...well, it's not the only heartbreaking part of this film, but it's still a big one.
@ThePerfectMix This movie is based from the "Old Man Logan" comic. It's very dark. This is also considered an alternate timeline. In this movie/timeline Charles Xavier killed the other X-Men with his psychosis. The Deadpool &Wolverine movie happens before this technically in another timeline; hence the TVA is in the movie.
They wanted to have a cameo with Logan's half brother Sabertooth. But actor Liev Schreiber wasn't available due to scheduling conflicts. They never said who the boy Rictor, was talking to on the radio. But fans have speculated that it may have been a member of Alpha Flight, who are the Canadian equivalent of the X-Men in the comics. Even with the GMO foods suppressing new mutants, the original Alpha Flight members would have still been alive in that time.
Does someone remember when in The Wolverine..Yukio said she saw a vision where Logan dies holding his heart on his hand...and in this movie he literally holds Laura in his hand when he dies.. 35:05..❤❤
There is a movie called “New Mutants” out too. It’s supposed to be a “kid mutant” movie like this looked like it was setting up but 100% different cast/characters.
I think in this deadpool 3 is gonna be about TVA too where appears on loki so probably wolwerine in deadpool movie is from another dimension and this wolwerine from logan and all X-men are from fox dimension
Sadly, in wolverine origins the seer mutant who saw James's death, she said Logan will die with his heart in his hand, he died holding Laura's hand. Who he ended up loving as much as he loved Charles, if not more.
Yes, Stan Lee did a Cameo, in every Marvel movie if I'm not mistaken (Blade even?? its been so long since I've seen those movies..), up to his passing. I hope future movies include a picture of him in the background as "Employee of the century" or something cheeky like that.
What I love about this movie is that it shows why superheroes can't have close friends. 'Why can't Spider-Man have a girlfriend and be Spider-Man?' You saw what happened to the family that helped him out. This is probably the best takes on how it would end for the X-Men. Most people now understand why comic book fans are so picky about how these characters are portrayed onscreen. You felt bad and hurt how it ended for them... you fell in love with these characters....just from watching the movies. (That's a guess.) Imagine how we feel when we've been following these characters for 15 to 20+ years. When the Professor died both times... I felt like I did when Optimus Prime died in the cartoon movie. Like I just lost one of the greatest leaders I've ever known. Great reaction.
I don't know if you caught it, but between the radio announcement after the casino incident and considering what Charles was talking about right before getting stabbed in bed, it's revealed that Charles had a seizure at the school and killed the other x-men. That's why Logan wouldn't talk to him about it. He was trying to spare Charles the guilt.
In one of the Deadpool movies (I believe the second one) Deadpool had a wolverine toy of his death from this movie where he’s on his back with the piece of wood going through his body. Cool little detail
Dafnes small sounds of agony when he dies does so much to absolutely kill any control I had of my emotions, I'm always weak for a father-daughter relationship
She put the x on his grave not only for the death of Wolverine, but also for the end of the original X-Men, because he was the last of them
And because he was weapon X, number 10

Yall I can not lie I just watched another reaction group just reacted to this and now yall are reacting to it I cried both times watching this movie
This movie is a great movie and this is what a rated R superhero movie is like 👍 🎉🎉🎉
"Logan... You still have time"
-Charles Xavier
💔💔😭😭
Wolverines death hurt more than Tony’s
It’s ≠ for me both f’d me up
Xavier saying "I'm so sorry," as they wheel him through the hotel is...well, it's not the only heartbreaking part of this film, but it's still a big one.
at least you guys dont have to wait years to see wolverine again. thank god for deadpool.
Thank god for Ryan Reynolds
@ThePerfectMix This movie is based from the "Old Man Logan" comic. It's very dark. This is also considered an alternate timeline. In this movie/timeline Charles Xavier killed the other X-Men with his psychosis. The Deadpool &Wolverine movie happens before this technically in another timeline; hence the TVA is in the movie.
This movie combines two of the best comic story arc I've read from the early 2000s. X23 and The Death of Logan.
I own the same jersey! Love the first Mighty Ducks and Logan! Perfect video!
You need to react to Xmen 97!!!
31:38 the way one of them said The Wolverine, And his roar 🔥 . They were fvcking scared.
Does someone remember when in The Wolverine..Yukio said she saw a vision where Logan dies holding his heart on his hand...and in this movie he literally holds Laura in his hand when he dies.. 35:05..❤❤
Side note brother. You got a keeper. Make sure she is never hurt or ever break her heart cause the boys and i we riding if you do.
And it's time for you to watch all the #1, #2 and #Final trailers for Deadpool & Wolverine
That hug with your girl at the end...Lucky dude. Never take it for granted bro. Nice reaction. Thanks.
Yes, Stan Lee did a Cameo, in every Marvel movie if I'm not mistaken (Blade even?? its been so long since I've seen those movies..), up to his passing. I hope future movies include a picture of him in the background as "Employee of the century" or something cheeky like that.
One of the greatest Xmen movies period, if not the greatest (not counting Deadpool.)
no
The best X-Men movie with Days of Future Past
Definitely look for Stan in your next X-Men watches. He’s there!
They mention the “Westchester incident” on the radio after Charles has his seizure in the casino. Charles had a seizure and killed all of the X-Men. 😢
Vince's reactions were killing me throughout 😂😂 he was loving it!
Logan has one of the saddest stories. He has outlived everyone in his life. 💔
I don't know if you understood this, but professor x accidentally killed all the mutants.
Some movie suggestions:
- The Iron Claw
- Legends of the Fall
- Apollo 13
- Balto
- Young Woman and the Sea
- 1917
- Bottoms
- Booksmart
People will still more often go to The Dark Knight but this is IMO the best comic book movie.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
I don't know if you caught it, but between the radio announcement after the casino incident and considering what Charles was talking about right before getting stabbed in bed, it's revealed that Charles had a seizure at the school and killed the other x-men. That's why Logan wouldn't talk to him about it. He was trying to spare Charles the guilt.
Tbh the ending of this movie IS a happy ending because Wolverine is hundreds of years old. Him dying was true happiness
In one of the Deadpool movies (I believe the second one) Deadpool had a wolverine toy of his death from this movie where he’s on his back with the piece of wood going through his body. Cool little detail
If you both loved the film....Shane....then you'll probably love the film called....Sergeant Rutledge.
32:18 "name a better duo"
i'm glad u ask, imma say *deadpool and wolverine*
Dafnes small sounds of agony when he dies does so much to absolutely kill any control I had of my emotions, I'm always weak for a father-daughter relationship
I cried so hard at the end of this movie. Now I’m so excited for the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
