Hancock is a superhero whose ill-considered behavior regularly causes damage in the millions. He changes when the person he saves helps him improve his public image.
Sony dropped the ball during the height of superhero movies not greenlighting Hancock 2.
Ikr this movie made like 4 times its budget back💀💀
Will Smith said he wouldn’t do another one. He said some bs about him not wanting to do sequels, yet have been in sequels for MIB and Bad Boys but whatever 🤷🏿♂️
That's probably true he said that but that's usually actor code speak for "the money has to be right for me to return."
@@darkknightshaun Both Will Smith and Charlize Theron (and Jason Bateman etc.) have all said they want to do a sequel for Hancock. They've been talking about it for over 15 years now. The last news on a sequel was in 2021 I believe where both Theron and Smith said they are still willing to reprise their roles for the sequel if it gets made. It has had a script for years now apparently, it just has to get made at this point.
@@LordLOC Well that’s new news for me I didn’t know that. A sequel COULD work, but honestly with the way some sequels are being made nowadays it might just be better to leave Hancock as is. If it needed a sequel it should have been made a WHILE ago.
If this movie came out just a couple years later, Will Smith would've had another huge franchise
It still was successful lol
@@kcxsmooth yeah but I wish it had a sequel :/
@@soloparks i do too
@@soloparksso do I, but unfortunately Will Smith usually doesn't like to do sequels
@@VergilTheLegendaryDarkSlayer he seems to love that Bad Boys money tho lol
This is a childhood favorite of mine. Would watch it with my dad in a hotel when he visited and it was hilarious af😂
Thank you for making me feel old.
@@RelentlessOhiox Lmao same... I was like damn I'm old af now. I watched this in theaters several times with my dad when it came out and it feels like it was yesterday.
It ain’t too late. They can run this franchise back for a sequel
It has one of the greatest superhero endings
Facts
facts
If an average person was given superpowers.
He’s a little more shitty than your average person lol
Fr
Chronicle
@@leviathan7865one of my fav fr
@@leviathan7865he said average person not a psychopath
This movie is for those who like action-packed superhero movies and scenes of endless laughter, it's sad that they never made the sequel to this movie again.
Shoshana: Aw no cape?
Edna mode: NO CAPES!
Do you remember Thunderhead?
The part they not thinking about is Ray is gonna get old and die and so is the son. She'll be alone also just pretty much watching over the family line until her and Hancock both are finally like we've done enough and pair off which obviously they'll eventually do.
We don't know if the son will grow old and die, since he's a direct descendant of hers and could have inherited some or all of their kinds of powers. I feel like they could do a lot with that kind of story now 16 years later with a sequel.
@@LordLOCthe son isn’t biologically hers though. They mentioned his mom died in childbirth.
Yeah, I would’ve loved to see something like that, but I understand the step-mother thing was better. That could’ve been an awesome sequel!
@@betteryourlife865 Ah right, I forgot.
25:43 When he’s walking and taking those bullets at the same time…all for her…💔
The music is absolutely magnificent.
I actually really like this movie. I don’t think it gets enough attention.
Jason Bateman is the star of a show called Ozark that you guys will love.
Yes!!!
I can never watch him in anything without remembering his brilliant portrayal of a former athlete turned presenter in Dodgeball. Every time I see a former athlete saying dumb $hit on TV I think of Pepper.
You both should watch "Chronicles" you'll love it...one of best movies
Hancock is one of my other favorite superheroes who has no problem killing bad guys when it's necessary in terms of stopping crime
Now, watch Will Smith again in Bad Boys series, Men in Black trilogy & I Robot.
I am legend. They may have already watched it.
@@puglleHitch and Shark Tale!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Love this movie. Still remember seeing it. It’s actually pretty deep
Had almost forgot that long haired little blonde kid in this movie that had called hancock an asshole was the kid from rob zombies halloween film who played micheal myers as a kid . That kid was always kinda wierd lookin to me 😂😂
Yall neeeeeed to do Chronicles now after seeing this 🤞🏾. This was the start of the era of realistic super humans
The symbolism of him being weak, because he's with his loved one is a really nice theme. It is just like in a real world, if our loved ones get hurt, we are getting hurt as well because of it.
Hancock is Superman if he didn't give a fuck.
Facts 💯
This was my favorite childhood superhero movie lmao
Hancock is such a good movie
That little boy who called him an asshole is from the tv show the middle
HAHA yes brick
This is definitely one of my favorite will smith movies
@11:02 The guy with the mustache who’s talking about breaking necks is Donald Gibb, a.k.a. “Ogre” from Revenge of the Nerds (1984). He was also in a bunch of other shows and movies, including Bloodsport (1988) with Jean-Claude Van Damme.
It's so sweet the way Jason Bateman's character sees right away that Hancock just needs someone on his team.
Jason Bateman has become one of my favorite actors recently 😂😂 he absolutely kills me
"we got Homelander" nah Hancock just doesn't give a damn and is a freaking god. Homelander wishes xd
If you guys like this movie then you guys try watch the Chronicle It's about 3 bestfriends have superpowers but the other took it to far by using it in a wrong way try watch it guys you gotta love that movie...
Ya’ll facial expressions crack me up. Love it😂😂😂😂😂
Also please check out “ Law Abiding Citizen “ ,” Face Off” and” Con Air”
This movie is forever a classic for me
This is such an underrated movie, so funny and yes.... homelander 😂😂
Tight ass wolverine outfit was the best line of the film😂
I appreciate the line also coupled with "Hey Handjob." I think from the same guy. So funny.
Hancock for sure killed that train operator
5:15, would've been funny if the bully was named Michael cause that actor played Mike Myers in Halloween a year prior.
Yall definitely need to watch ozark if yall like Jason Bateman
I personally love this movie, it was the first “what if a super powered person was real?”
"You should sue mcdonalds BRUH lmao"
I have mixed feelings about this movie. I think the premise is great and Will and Jason are excellent, but it feels like once the movie gets to the point where he finds out she is like him, the movie falls apart in my opinion. It made no sense for how irrational she acted. Felt like the writer(s) didn't know how to wrap it up and was like, "you know, it would be really cool if they fought".
Yeah I didn't care for her character arc either like he didn't remember then being together but when he shows back up she antagonizes him like he just dumped her out of nowhere
The way I re-ran those first few seconds back a few times when SoShana forgot to start the introductions because I thought my video playback was messed up 🤣 Only to let it run and two seconds later she realized it 😭
such a throw back, great watch.
The Lebowski of Superheroes
Lmao I thought I was the only one who said this 🤣🤣
i have a song i made like 10 years ago called Hancock(2smashed) on my old channel lmao. As someone who drank alot, this was my favorite superhero
the blond long hair kid is from rob zombie's "halloween", i love him!
Hank OCK is hilarious im not gonna lie🤣🤣
I chuckled when I heard her say that lol.
The guy robbing the bank is really bad at his job... he tried it in the first episode of Ultimate Force 😅
Hey guys, can you watch the show Ozark? Jason Bateman is in it, and it's fantastic!
The whole hospital scene was peak fiction idc
This is one of my enjoyable watches as a kid. I absolutely forgot about that second plot line with the wife having superpowers, too.
This one of those flicks that it became cool to hate on at some point but I've never understood that at all. It ain't the deepest movie around but damn does everything got to be some profound life-changing shit? It's fun, its funny, it's well made, it's well acted. What else do ya really need.
By the way, I don’t know if you’ll see this but I like how your editing doesn’t take away from the viewer’s experience.
We notice it❤
Peter Berg takes chances, this is one of 2-3 times he came to making a great movie. Really, really close.
Jason Bateman acts differently in The Switch Up he becomes Ryan Reynolds a must watch
We need someone to be Hancock in this world right now ❤😂😂
Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds -The Switch!! It’s a Must!!
The kid from the start who woke up Hancock is Atticus Shaffer, you might have recognized him from the series The Middle. Brick Heck in particular, that’s where I recognized him from 🤷🏾♂️
This is one of my favorite movie channels ✌🏽💯💯💯 love seeing both of you 😂😊
Goated hero, saw this as a kid😂
There's a deleted scene that shows Hancock has the "super shots" in bed as well lol.
According to some behind the scenes stuff, they both can control part of the weather,
The kid was from the TV sitcom The Middle
They calling him Homelander, but we all know he Hobo-lander😂😂😂
I didn’t catch that Mary manipulating heat, and Hancock most likely manipulating cold caused that storm when they were fighting until someone pointed it out in a breakdown
The little boy who appeared at the beginning of this movie is the same boy who appeared in the scary movie
The way she says HAN COOOCKK
😂😂😂😂😂
@@Eternalsfan Right hahah!
That scene in the restaurant always breaks my heart 😢
Jason Bateman was hilarious in the movie “Paul” y’all should react to it please? ❤
Hancock isn't a superhero he's a god, he's Zeus and this partner is hera, that's why lightning got created it was hancock, he doesn't remember because she made him forget everything because he was dying because of her, so they gods who are now called superheros and Hancock can't die unless he's with her
10:07 He's with them in jail so the only way they think that's possible is because he lost his powers. Of curse they see their chance in getting revenge
yeeeesss ❤️ this movie is honestly so good
Chronicle,jumper kick-ass very good
27:16 😮😮😮 did u just use the Hangover to reference Mike Epps 😂😂😂
I hate to admit it, but this may be the best and funniest Will Smith movie. I know he's a prat now, but this was very good. Loved his insults.
Absolutely love this movie 😂
you all have to put Paul the movie on you list Bateman is in it it is super funny
@0:32 Atticus Shaffer (Boy at Bus Bench) is mostly known as Brick Heck from the sitcom “The Middle”, which ran for nine seasons, lasting from 2009 to 2018.
The blonde boy is YOUNG MICHAEL MYERS
She looks so different because she's had a ton of facework over the years.
The best Reactors on youtube🎉🎉🎉
Her reactions suggested she liked this movie ALOT more than she implied at the end.
I love the kid (Jae Head) in this. He has another great role in The Blind Side (based on a true story)
The kid in the beginning also acts in Malcom in the middle he plays the youngest brother 👍🏼
Dude just woke up one morning and said "Hey I'm gonna go carve a heart on the moon." If that's not a display of god-like power then I don't know what is
The kid in the beginning is from the tv show the middle he was the kid that would whisper to himself
The kid in the opening scene is in the show called The Middle
This movie did NOT go the way I expected
If I remember correctly, people initially thought Hancock had lost his powers, thats why he was in prison...they were wrong
Since you like Jason Bateman you really need to watch him in 'Bad Words', it's really funny n cute at the same time. He has a lot of popular movies but Bad Words is not as popular/known but it's so underrated. I hope you do watch it
I really want you guys to react to "Lets be Cops". It's a hilarious movie I think you would enjoy
WILL IS ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC ACTORS EVER
"....and im Vince, and together we make the perfect mix". I miss that intro
Horrible Bosses is something I strongly recommend you both watch. I think it's Jason Bateman's best film.
10:22 loved the shocked reaction 😂😂😂
You both had the most entertaining reaction to the prison “fight” scene. I really wish this movie did better, I feel it just came out too soon with what is now the norm in superhero movies and shows - the severely flawed “super-hero”
Y’all NEED to watch Chronicle (2012)
When Jason Bateman came on the screen I do got to give you props for the first thing that came to your mind was arrested development another underrated show which was perfect before Netflix bought it, y'all should watch Ozark with Jason Bateman, that bully kid (Daeg Neergaard Faerch) was also the kid from the 2007 Halloween remake movie he was Michael Myers
Never realized it till now but hancck just came in and stole guy's woman.
Underrated movie
The greatest showman
That was was the best Will Smith movie ever in all the years, I hope they make a Handcock 2.
