Will Smith said he wouldn’t do another one. He said some bs about him not wanting to do sequels, yet have been in sequels for MIB and Bad Boys but whatever 🤷🏿♂️
@@darkknightshaun Both Will Smith and Charlize Theron (and Jason Bateman etc.) have all said they want to do a sequel for Hancock. They've been talking about it for over 15 years now. The last news on a sequel was in 2021 I believe where both Theron and Smith said they are still willing to reprise their roles for the sequel if it gets made. It has had a script for years now apparently, it just has to get made at this point.
@@LordLOC Well that’s new news for me I didn’t know that. A sequel COULD work, but honestly with the way some sequels are being made nowadays it might just be better to leave Hancock as is. If it needed a sequel it should have been made a WHILE ago.
@@RelentlessOhiox Lmao same... I was like damn I'm old af now. I watched this in theaters several times with my dad when it came out and it feels like it was yesterday.
The part they not thinking about is Ray is gonna get old and die and so is the son. She'll be alone also just pretty much watching over the family line until her and Hancock both are finally like we've done enough and pair off which obviously they'll eventually do.
We don't know if the son will grow old and die, since he's a direct descendant of hers and could have inherited some or all of their kinds of powers. I feel like they could do a lot with that kind of story now 16 years later with a sequel.
This movie is for those who like action-packed superhero movies and scenes of endless laughter, it's sad that they never made the sequel to this movie again.
I can never watch him in anything without remembering his brilliant portrayal of a former athlete turned presenter in Dodgeball. Every time I see a former athlete saying dumb $hit on TV I think of Pepper.
Had almost forgot that long haired little blonde kid in this movie that had called hancock an asshole was the kid from rob zombies halloween film who played micheal myers as a kid . That kid was always kinda wierd lookin to me 😂😂
@11:02 The guy with the mustache who’s talking about breaking necks is Donald Gibb, a.k.a. “Ogre” from Revenge of the Nerds (1984). He was also in a bunch of other shows and movies, including Bloodsport (1988) with Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The symbolism of him being weak, because he's with his loved one is a really nice theme. It is just like in a real world, if our loved ones get hurt, we are getting hurt as well because of it.
While the movie shows him accepting his role & not drinking to be a better person & hero, it only hints at his most famous forgotten identity. His ex "Mary" mentions different cultures called them different things, but she avoids telling him the full story. Yet there were clues given to the audience in the things Hancock is drawn to. Particularly the eagle symbol on his favorite hat & the stylized eagle & other symbols he draws with the unknown writing on the wall. Hancock was in fact Zeus, king of the Greek gods. He can't shape-shift, but he can fly & do all that other stuff, just as she does & she also affects the weather. So they are the inspiration for the Greek myths & maybe even other gods before that.
If you guys like this movie then you guys try watch the Chronicle It's about 3 bestfriends have superpowers but the other took it to far by using it in a wrong way try watch it guys you gotta love that movie...

I have mixed feelings about this movie. I think the premise is great and Will and Jason are excellent, but it feels like once the movie gets to the point where he finds out she is like him, the movie falls apart in my opinion. It made no sense for how irrational she acted. Felt like the writer(s) didn't know how to wrap it up and was like, "you know, it would be really cool if they fought".
Yeah I didn't care for her character arc either like he didn't remember then being together but when he shows back up she antagonizes him like he just dumped her out of nowhere
When Jason Bateman came on the screen I do got to give you props for the first thing that came to your mind was arrested development another underrated show which was perfect before Netflix bought it, y'all should watch Ozark with Jason Bateman, that bully kid (Daeg Neergaard Faerch) was also the kid from the 2007 Halloween remake movie he was Michael Myers
