Chris Tucker improvised much of his dialogue, as he normally does in his movies. In fact, Jackie said in interviews that it was hard to work with Chris because his English wasn't the best, and chis talked too fast and went off script, most of the time Jackie just stayed quiet, and nodded his head at Chris prompting Chris to ask the famous line "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth." lol
14:02 Jackie Chan on Conan once spoke about the time when Steven Spielberg asked him how he did all the stunts in his movies. His response was "rolling->action->jump->hospital"
Aaron and Tara are the perfect duo to be watching these movies. I love Rush Hour. I think it may have been my intro to Jackie Chan and now I watch everything he’s in.
33:13 this moment is one of my favorite Parts about this movie. Jackie's hesitation to take carter's ID because he isn't 6'1 is such a great throwaway joke.
The scene where the dudes have to listen to her sing in the backseat is so damn relatable. I had to watch Lilo and stitch 1 million times with my little sister on family road trips and she would always want to do the scene where Lilo is yelling at Nani on the stairs Word for Word to this day is drilled into my brain and if you ask her, I don’t remember none of that at all
"Andrew didn't like Karate Kid 2010" I mean, can you even blame him? who remakes a movie titled *_KARATE KID,_* where everyone knows karate is JAPANESE, and puts it in CHINA, with the kid practicing KUNG-FU.
2:37 He has been known for being on the TVshow Lost. He was the futuristic guy that told his father that he was his son. And his father was a Darma engineer. He was also the main villian on the original Rush Hour movie.
This over-sensitive stuff drives me nuts. It's not real. It's film. Like, get a sense of humor. Lhm. Richard Dreyfus explained this wonderfully, in an interview a few years ago.
The opening sequence with the title credits was an homage to Enter The Dragon and Bret Ratner confirmed it several times. Prior year Bret directed Chris Tucker and Charlie Sheen in Money Talks (1997) which was Tucker's underrated hit role. This film was my first introduction to Ken Leung who really played a great bad guy. The late Tom Wilkinson brought just gravitas to his role.
This movie is a good entry point to Jackie Chan movies for a newbie, but it's just scratching the surface. PLEASE also react to the Police Story/ Super Cop series of films or perhaps Drunken Master II. I had the opportunity to meet Jackie on his book signing tour when this movie was released. Very gracious to his fans. For this lifelong fan, that will always be a great memory.
The chemistry between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker hilarious!! Wish we had more of this but agree this level of humor you definitely couldn’t get away with today’s audience! Can’t wait for your reaction to the sequel!
This is prime Rush Hour 1998 Chris and Jackie's charismatic chemistry. Is unmatched. I still waiting for pt 4. One of the best soundtracks of all-time.
Fun Fact: C4 does not explode when you shoot it. It requires a detonator. But, in Action Movies, anything explosive will explode, regardless of the specific mechanics involved.
PLEASE DO THE LETHAL WEAPON SERIES! From a past reaction I don’t think Aaron has seen it, but they’re great and inspiration for every buddy cop film that came afterwards
Men, you have no idea how happy this makes me! I've been a Jackie Chan fan my whole life and seen ya'll starting to react to his movies just warms my heart! Btw, he's done a billion movies but 2 that I really think ya'll will love are Shanghai Noon with Owen Wilson (also a great counterpart to Jackie Chan and has a second part called Shanghai Nights) and the other one is Rumble in the Bronx in which Jackie did some of the most dangerous stunts he's ever done! So, if you plan to continue watching his movies, which I hope to God you do, please keep those 2 in your list .
My Favorite Buddy Cop Franchise Of All Time Chris Tucker & Jackie Chan Together Is MAGIC THE BEST Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Cinema Has Ever Graced Us With☄️🎸
Jackie's acting is even more impressive when you consider that he barely spoke English and didn't know what he was saying most of the time. He learned his lines phonetically.
Funnily enough, I think Jackie Chan has made some albums in the past. He even played the Captain Shang in Disney's Mulan and sang "I'll make a man out of you." in the Chinese dub.
I grew up watching Jackie Chan's early movies in America, like Mr. Nice Guy, Rumble in the Bronx, Who am I? Him doing his own stunts, his fighting, his humor, such a talented person. And then I started watching his first starring roles in China, like Drunken Master and Half a Loaf of Kung Fu lol. And then his newer movies, Rush Hour, The Tuxedo, etc. Hopefully you eventually check out those ones he first made in the states; they are great. If I recall the first words he wanted to learn in English was for food lol.
I feel like Tara was not amused by the casual racism 😂 This movie is a all time classic but it's not made for overly sensitive audiences of today looking for something to be offended by
The Rush Hour trilogy is one of my favorites, not many can get it right 3 times. Hope to catch you guys watching 2 and 3. This one has soooo many classic lines, super funny.
Lmao everybody I’ve seen react to this seems to think Sam winks at Jackie’s character in the big climax scene, but I think it was actually meant to show how anxious he was and it was a twitch
Alot of people dont know this but Jackie Chan is a very accomplished singer. he as a boat load of albums, my favorite song is called High Upon High. Check it out!
Always surprised when it comes to movies some of y’all haven’t seen. Love this duo and so excited to watch this series with y’all. Especially the first 2. These are so damn hilarious! 😂❤❤
It’s literally one of my fav movie and fav movie franchise The second one I think it’s the best of all three There were rumors that there will b a fourth one in the making!
These kinds of comedy movies could absolutely be made today… if everyone would get rid of the sticks up their butts. Stop being so offended by everything. Laughter heals the soul. Take the joke for what it is and be happier for doing so.
The fact yal never seen these movies is wild and great cuz now we can see those first reactions we mighta felt. Also I hope we get a 4th one. Shiiiet gimme a Rushhour and bad boyz crossover
Loved this trilogy! 😂❤ They did also do a TV series with the same name and characters but it was more recent with different actors. Haven't really seen that one 😅 wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it without Chris and Jackie lol

Aaron how dare you almost forget to let Tara song ring the bell it's my reason for watching the reaction
Where are the rest of the Paranormal Activity movies???
These movies are not only action packed, but absolutely hilarious. Chris and Jackie have such amazing chemistry.
They sure do.
Too bad the 3rd one sucked
Chris Tucker improvised much of his dialogue, as he normally does in his movies. In fact, Jackie said in interviews that it was hard to work with Chris because his English wasn't the best, and chis talked too fast and went off script, most of the time Jackie just stayed quiet, and nodded his head at Chris prompting Chris to ask the famous line "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth." lol
Chris is def a fast talker. Like in “money talks,” which is my fave movie by him
14:02 Jackie Chan on Conan once spoke about the time when Steven Spielberg asked him how he did all the stunts in his movies. His response was "rolling->action->jump->hospital"
“You better take your hands off this suit, this my favorite suit, your momma bought me this suit!” Love you two!🙏🏾
It is a nice red suit.
Aaron and Tara are the perfect duo to be watching these movies. I love Rush Hour. I think it may have been my intro to Jackie Chan and now I watch everything he’s in.
Rush Hour will forever be a classic
Yes, I loved 1 and 2… but 3 sucked
33:13 this moment is one of my favorite Parts about this movie. Jackie's hesitation to take carter's ID because he isn't 6'1 is such a great throwaway joke.
Mine too! People usually miss it
Jackie Chans a Perfectionist, He’ll do 5,000 takes if he has to no tricks🐐
Not in the US he can't
What's your FAVORITE Buddy Cop Comedy???
Lethal Weapon franchise.
Lethal Weapon, and then this one.
Lethal Weapon please watch all 4 of that SOOON
Lethal Weapon and this.
beverly hills cop and then rush hour
The scene where the dudes have to listen to her sing in the backseat is so damn relatable. I had to watch Lilo and stitch 1 million times with my little sister on family road trips and she would always want to do the scene where Lilo is yelling at Nani on the stairs Word for Word to this day is drilled into my brain and if you ask her, I don’t remember none of that at all
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker make a great duo.
"He can sing too?"
Yes, he has a couple albums in Chinese.
RIP to Phillip Baker Hall, Elizabeth Pena and Chris Penn.
Rush hour is goated.
"Andrew didn't like Karate Kid 2010"
I mean, can you even blame him?

2:37 He has been known for being on the TVshow Lost. He was the futuristic guy that told his father that he was his son. And his father was a Darma engineer. He was also the main villian on the original Rush Hour movie.
He was also in the Inhumans. What is the original Rush Hour movie you're pertaining to? I thought this was the original ye?
Miles Strom.
20:25 and it's a damn shame too cause saying "You can't say/do that in a movie" prevents creativity and great humour.
This over-sensitive stuff drives me nuts. It's not real. It's film. Like, get a sense of humor. Lhm.

Yeah you don't see (m)any big reactors watch the classic HK films tbf.
" dont even talk American" 😭😭😭
It was Carter leads that helped. Lee solve the crime . A lot of people miss that.
I have two entire rows of DVDs that are just Jackie Chan films. Think Rush Hour 2 was the first DVD I ever got.
The chemistry between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker hilarious!! Wish we had more of this but agree this level of humor you definitely couldn’t get away with today’s audience! Can’t wait for your reaction to the sequel!
A lot of people say Jackie was the whole movie in this one. Part 2 it even out . Like the video .
Ready for part 2.
the second part is also a must watch😊
There is a RUclips video of Jackie and his daughter watching highlights from his career, that she had never seen. Its awesome. Jackie Chan is AWESOME.
He has another daughter? I only know about the one stateside who dropped out and married her high-school teacher
That was a scene from a movie.
The “highlights” were edited in.
Jackie has sadly disowned his real life daughter years ago for being lesbian.
@@kaijukyru hmmm😮
35:03 Which one of ya'll kicked me.
Cant wait til you watch part 2. I feel part 2 is the best of the 3
Is there a problem officer

If you guys like Rush Hour you’ll love Rush Hour 2 even more!
I didn’t think 2 was better but it was equal to 1. But 3 sucked
This is prime Rush Hour 1998 Chris and Jackie's charismatic chemistry. Is unmatched. I still waiting for pt 4.

My Favorite Buddy Cop Franchise Of All Time
Chris Tucker & Jackie Chan Together Is MAGIC
THE BEST Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich Cinema Has Ever Graced Us With☄️🎸
One of my favorite series. It’s hilarious. Especially the blooper reel during the credits
I was given this DVD years ago loved it. The little kid singing Maria Carrie is so sweet/funny.
Jackie's acting is even more impressive when you consider that he barely spoke English and didn't know what he was saying most of the time. He learned his lines phonetically.
Yooooo! I’m so excited for this! I grew up with these movies!
“Shanghai Noon” is another great Jackie Chan action-comedy from this era.
Ken Leung who plays sang in this film also played detective Steven in James wan’s SAW
Pizza, chocolate, soda and my favorite channel! And RUSH HOUR? PERFECTION!
Oh hell yes! LETS GOOO!
Such a great funny action pack classic 👏👏👏
Funnily enough, I think Jackie Chan has made some albums in the past. He even played the Captain Shang in Disney's Mulan and sang "I'll make a man out of you." in the Chinese dub.
Do you understand the words coming out of my mouth?
This movie is a classic
Tara’s ring the bell is so amazing 🤩
Watching her struggle to get through the paranormal activity series was great
The jokes in Rush Hour hold up till this day, no matter how many times I rewatch, it’s still just as hilarious as the first time
I grew up watching Jackie Chan's early movies in America, like Mr. Nice Guy, Rumble in the Bronx, Who am I? Him doing his own stunts, his fighting, his humor, such a talented person. Oh man I'm so excited you guys are doing this movie series. It's so great.
Bingo list:
- "They work so much"
- Saying the actor's/actress's name versus their character
- "This movie couldn't be made now"
I seen this movie 1 billion times it never realized until I was older that Rice-A-Roni not even Asian it’s Italian
I wasn't too enthused with Karate Kid ( Jackie Chan's ) version either...it wasn't Karate, but kung fu.
I didn’t know I needed this reaction!😂
I feel like Tara was not amused by the casual racism 😂
This movie is a all time classic but it's not made for overly sensitive audiences of today looking for something to be offended by
The taxi drivers 14:53 is Gene Labelle
Jackie said give me the name here next time you hear it is in the movie the foreigner
This is one of my favorite trilogies of all time. FOREVER CLASSIC!
the greatest 90s comedy movie and it’s not close
Chris Penn who plays Clive in the film was in Quentin Tarantino‘s reservoir dogs and was the voice of the crooked cop Eddie Pulaski in GTA San Andreas
nothing beats seeing these movies back then for the first time laughing your ass off :D
what is it good for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING 🎶🎵
Actually look into silent film star buster ketone. See what he did in his hay day. Just a little hint physical comedy.
love the Tara and Aaron reactions
The Rush Hour trilogy is one of my favorites, not many can get it right 3 times. Hope to catch you guys watching 2 and 3. This one has soooo many classic lines, super funny.

Yeah he does all his own stunts, at the end the bloopers are funny as hell
This is one of the movies that I don't even need to see the full reaction yet to know I'm going to love it!
38:15 I felt that in my soul BOO THIS MANNNNNN (half baked)
All time greatest buddy cop movie and series for me.
Lmao everybody I’ve seen react to this seems to think Sam winks at Jackie’s character in the big climax scene, but I think it was actually meant to show how anxious he was and it was a twitch

Oh it’s awesome this pair is doing both Fast and Furious franchise and Rush Hour franchise at the same time (Still salty we never got a 4th movie)
It’s literally one of my fav movie and fav movie franchise
The second one I think it’s the best of all three
There were rumors that there will b a fourth one in the making!
These kinds of comedy movies could absolutely be made today… if everyone would get rid of the sticks up their butts. Stop being so offended by everything. Laughter heals the soul. Take the joke for what it is and be happier for doing so.

If u like this definitely should check out shanghi noon and Shanghi Knights with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson 🔥
If these 2 loved Rush Hour I wanna see them react to truly classic Jackie Chan films like Wheels on Meals.
The duo I didn’t think I needed 😭
Loved this trilogy! 😂❤ They did also do a TV series with the same name and characters but it was more recent with different actors. Haven't really seen that one 😅 wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it without Chris and Jackie lol
Definitely need the Trilogy
