The ending of this has one of the best tributes to an actor of any movie I’ve ever seen. James Wan had the biggest hill to climb but he managed to pull it together.
The final scene is so powerful you forgive the early deep fake, it's still so moving and the fact that it's his brother doing some of the scenes including that final one. ❤
Can I watch this in 2015 in the theater I was so scared that they were going to kill off his character. I'm glad I was gone it's a fit ending for his character. I did cry in the theater when that happened in the ending as well others in theater. RIP Paul Walker.
James Wan doesn't get the credit he deserve because he a blockbuster director. I'd like to see anyone pull off Aquaman as good as he did. I think the man's brilliant considering the silly properties he needs to make profitable. If this guy gets a hold of a truly original script/project he'll absolutely do wonders.
I don't much tributes in cinema that are not a "in loving memory of" screen a the end BUT this movie (for Paul) and black panther 2 (for Chadwick) gotta be the best tributes I've seen in movies
The scene where Mia and Brian are talking on the phone before the big finale, Mia’s scene was shot after the passing of Paul Walker. Her emotions during the scene were real
I have to admit, when I saw that white Supra taking the exit I kinda lost it. They chose such an elegant, tasteful, meaningful, appropriate way to say goodbye.
it's wonderful for them to be back home in their original style cars... "Hey old buddy/bro in law/friend/sidekick, this is where our paths part ways"... fantastic and sweet and heartfelt and classy and tasteful!!!
I remember a few years back when I had 27 of the people I know and love died in about 18 months. I remember saying that for the last few... "I couldn't do any more funerals.!"
The worse thing about it was that the car had a malfunction, so he and his friend the driver shouldn't have even died and the driver his son had to witness his dad's accident. We can only say that at least they both died instantly.
@tiffanykim2773 they didn't though. The car also had old tires and they were speeding on a day after rain if I'm not mistaken, it all added up to what happened. The chance they took to have a little fun led to the horrible outcome.
That was definitely the implication. Longtime F&F producer Neal Moritz outright said it in one of the BTS interviews for the 4th movie (it's on the blu-ray, i believe), when he was talking about bringing back Paul & Vin as the central duo with Paul as "Fast", and Vin as "Furious".
No one is ever going to be able to listen to that song without being ready to break down. And seeing him and vin splitting off going separate ways at the end always gets me in the feels too💔. Will never get over this loss. RIP Paul❤
Aside from being an actor, Paul Walker was also a marine biologist who filmed a few specials on Discovery Channel for Shark Week and National Geographic. He was as passionate and knowledgeable about sharks as he was with cars. He truly was a one of a kind person. I wish there were more people like him.
This was the only time I went to a theater and saw a bunch of grown men cry (including me). I also knew about half the shots of Paul Walker were CGI, but I barely noticed my first viewing

I remember bawling my eyes out when I first found out Paul died. I had become an F&F fan 2 years prior to it and was so excited for the 7th. I was crying with my cousin, who was one of the 2 people who introduced me to the franchise. The other being my mom. And when the movie came out, I went to see it in theaters with my mom and started crying so much the moment they showed him pull up next to Vin at the end. His bright blue eyes and the smile just made me break down. Favorite franchise of all time for sure.

RIP Pual Walker. This movie was a tribute to him. Great reaction. The famous song "See You Again" at the end of this movie is iconic. I still remember how huge this song became after the movie was released. I was just about to start my college journey when this song was famous. Also as soon as the trailer for this movie was released, I believe everyone was talking about the scene where a supercar drives through 3 skyscrapers in Abu Dabi.
Myself, along with several friends and a theater full of grown ass men, were crying during that final scene. They did a great job remaking the end of the film as a tribute and character exit. Such a tragic loss. RIP Paul.
Paul not only played Brian such a crucial character to the story, he also started ROWW (Reach Out Worldwide). A non-profit organization that he funded. He got Doctors, nurses, construction workers etc and responded to natural disasters all around the world. The first being the earthquake in Port-A-Prince Haiti and 2011 cat 5 typhoon that I volunteered with ROWW that hit Luzon Philippines. He himself was boots on the ground at every disaster and didn't want any cameras on him. He just wanted to put Goodwill out there. Now Cody Walker is in charge of ROWW. They have reached out to multiple countries and states here in the US.
I remember seeing this in IMAX and having some of the most fun of my life. Jason Statham being the freaking Terminator, The Rock giving him a Rock Bottom, Roman coming up with and then carrying out his Wiley Coyote ass plan while screaming all the way down, and Rocky literally flexing out of his cast. And then when “See You Again” played I as well as more than 2/3 of the theater started crying our eyes out. Rest In Peace Paul Walker
I just recently lost a sibling to cancer so that ending hit me. Especially when Dom said "You'll always be with me & You'll always be my brother". What a great ending.

The first half of the movie was Paul Walker the other parts of the movie was Paul Walker's brother especially The ending scene from Brian says he was going to leave without saying goodbye.
It wasn’t a “first half” with Paul and the other parts being his brothers. The whole movie alternated between Paul, his brothers, John Singleton (aka “Sheppard”) at one point, a stuntman, and a Paul Walker hologram featuring Paul’s face from old “Furious” films at times too. The most you get to see Paul through this movie without anybody else playing Brian is the start of the team meeting all the way through the bus hanging off the cliff and Paul’s on his way off the bus before the stuntman shows up….
I remember watching this in theatres and no joke EVERYONE cried. When walking out of the theatre you could see everyone’s eyes red. A lot of people showed up with their cars (modified) including my friends, and I..and we all were waiting at the light together and did a run down the Blvd. It was an awesome moment us all racing to the next light. After that we all kept driving together slowly separating our own ways. This movie, and ending is always heartbreaking. REST IN PEACE PAUL 🙌🏻
28:42 now Brian sees why Jack thinks cars can fly. He’s been listening to his uncle Dom. 36:48 you guys should check out the “Expendables” series that Sylvester Stallone put together. All the old action stars. 39:39 the missile weakened the structure and Dom stomping just weakened it more. Figure if Shaw would’ve taken a step it probably would’ve caved in as well. 41:21 and the older you get the longer it takes to “heal”. 43:10 this was such a great ending for Brian. They added this scene after he died as a tribute. 43:59 that’s Paul’s brother with Paul’s face added from one of the earlier movies. There’s a show that looks at the evidence of his accident and what more than likely happened. His mom said he was talking about stepping back from making movies to be with his daughter more. Two movies to check out with Paul Walker is “Hours” (have tissues nearby) & “Brick Mansions”. 49:18 his two brothers helped compete the movie.
I watched this in a cinema in New York while on vacation (I'm from the UK) and the whole audience applauded when the "For Paul" bit came on. I was crying then, as I think the whole audience was. Still get emotional now watching it.
The most iconic thing and respectful thing was in the end, when the white supra takes a different path with "paul" inside, the sound you hear with the gears and car driving, is the original sound clip from the first fast and the furious with the orange supra. I like to think it as being symbolic, a way to show what started it all with out doing a FF1 flashback
My father passed away on March 25th, 2015, and this movie came out on April 3rd, 2015. I remember seeing it with my two friends in the theater. I cried my eyes out when the song started playing and the montage happened. My dad was a huge car guy and worked for GM his whole life. This movie will always hold a special place in my heart.
I just want to mention that Dom lifting the car in the penthouse vault ISNT so ridiculous. That's a "super car" which means its insanely light for a car, plus super car engines are in the BACK of the car. It only takes 2 people to lift the rear end of a standard sedan. So with Dom being really strong, as we know, lifting the front end of a super car would be tough but not improbable for him.
I watched it when it came out, it hit real hard later on that year when my best friend passed away. The fast and furious movies helped a bit re-watching them just to see dom and bryans frienship and knowing how they were like brothers in real life like mine was. Cherish your friends and family
The scenes of them on the beach were filmed after Paul died with stand-ins and Paul's brothers, so their feelings in that scene were very real, you can even see tears in Michelle Rodriguez's character's eyes. Vin actually named his daughter Pauline after Paul, and Paul's daughter Meadow has a cameo in one of the later films and Vin walked her down the aisle when she got married. This is very much a family.
The first time I saw Djimon Hounsou was in Constantine with Keanu Reeves and I have loved him as an actor ever since. They did an amazing job honoring Paul.
I went to watch this movie at 16 in my red shift shift Honda Civic and it changed my life. Everyone who left the parking lot was changed too. Kristen got me crying before work
I see everyone giving love to Paul Walker, and I have to agree-I wish he was still with us. But I want to touch on something you guys mentioned about how they come up with all those wild stunts and action scenes. Here's a fun fact most people don't realize: a lot of those ideas actually come from the fans! Yup, fans drop cool suggestions in their DMs or comments on social media, and the filmmakers take note. Some of the stunts that seem over-the-top? They’re fan-inspired. So when you see those crazy, out-of-this-world moments, just know-it's the fans shaping the action!
I’m so happy to be riding along with you guys watching these. IMO this was the last “good” film of the franchise. Also one of the most emotional ones too. 😢 RIP Paul Walker
When i watched that movie in the theater it was 90% male audience. Throughout the movie you could hear the usual laughter and "yeah"-es from a typical fan guy audience. But when it came to the closing shot with the Charger and the Supra the entire hall got dead quiet. And when the white supra took the exit you could hear basically everyone in there sniffle. When the titlecard "FOR PAUL", everyone simultaneously stood up and started applauding. Pretty much every guy in there had tears in his eyes, me and my friends included. Despite not knowing Paul Walker in person, we all felt like we've lost a really good friend we knew for years.
I remember going out of the cinema with my friend, going alone in my car, and cant stop crying while driving out. Still the same emotion every time. Thank you for reacting to this!
This is one of my favorite franchises and Paul was one of my favorite actors so I like to say, Paul isn’t gone he just finished the race before us and is waiting for us at the finish line
I remember the moment I learned Paul died. I was at my father’s house watching TV and I read the news on my phone. I had to reread the article multiple times for it to click. I called my dad and told him and he was just as shocked as me. We all miss him 😞 RIP Paul Walker
I know they used Paul's brother for these scenes which was genius but for us car lovers out there... The white Supra driving away got me good 😢 rip in heaven Paul
Why she’s leaving, well I’ve kind of always thought with the way her and Dom act in the hospital is a preview and you’ll find out why she left in part 8. I think that awkward interaction was a sign of things to come.
another fun fact, idk if someone else said it already but they actually dropped those cars out of an airplane. It honestly surprises me with how much practical stuff they use in these movies
I remember how apprehensive you two were going into the first movie, as I think a lot of people are. You thought it was just going to be a dumb fast car / cool action movie. I have friends who have never seen any of them, because they think that is all they will be. These movies have some serious heart, aside from most of them also being really good movies. I am always happy when someone new grows to love these films as I do. Happy to have you two in the family.
I absolutely love this movie and it one of the best Fast and Furious films. Such a wonderful send-off for Paul and some of the best scenes and story beats. My favourite Paul Walker film is Running Scared (2006), I would recommend it for a reaction!
I swear this ending always breaks me Paul did excellent and the film makers and whole cast did amazing at continuing to finish the film despite his passing they really loved him. And Donnie Yen and the guy from the Raid redemption films have amazing fight scenes in their films
Will never forget first hearing about Paul, everybody was hurtin & when I saw this movie I was like uneasy everytime I saw Brian in bad situations, I was like “damn is this where they’re gonna kill him off?” & so glad they didn’t & jus gave him a happy ending
Furious 7 is one of the best movies in the franchise, but knowing that Paul Walker died during production kind of puts a dark cloud over it. I really applaud his brothers Cody and Caleb for stepping up and finishing his role and for the rest of the cast and crew for agreeing to finish the movie. I'm sure it's what Paul would've wanted.
I saw this movie on opening night when I was 12 and my god I was crying my eyes out at that tribute. I still do to this day because of how amazing it is.
For the final scene, the used Brian's brother as a body double, and then replaced his face with Brian's from other footage. That perfect sendoff gets to everyone.
This brought back memories... for the first time all the guys in the theatres had tears in their eyes, it was very painful back then. Also, watch Ong Bak 1 and 2, Tony Jas break through movies that got him international fame.
Tyrese Gibson was the prefect man for Roman Pierce.. the fact that they had Tyrese have his character pushing on the brakes while flying/flipping through the air was perfect for Him cause Tyrese said one time in an interview I watched with him talking bout this 7th film and what Roman did was something he said he would most likely do in reality..🤣🤣
4:52: "why are they all leaving"....made me think of Johnny from Deadpool & Wolverine....they were messing with the budget too much :P (not to the Same extent as Evan's but still... :P
Everytime time I watch this film, I notice more scenes with Paul's bro. They did a good job with it, if you werent looking for it, you'd hardly notice.
Damn didn't feel real at all. He had brought the car culture alive back in the 2000s. My rice rocket will always lives in me just like Paul walker 😊. #forpaul
Very touching flick. Btw those that know. Tony Jaa is the man. Onk Bak & The Protector series are FIRE. Saw Ong Bak in the theater 7 times, fighting blew my mind.
The thing that always gets me in this film is at the funeral when tyrese says to Paul ‘promise me no more funerals’ and then Paul says ‘just 1 more’ that bit was always weird to me with Paul dying
Small detail that I never hear anyone bring up but in that final shot, they separate at the same speed and time, implying that the race was a tie and that they parted ways as equals.
Honestly if there’s one thing as an aspiring filmmaker mainly a director I don’t envy it’s the task that James Wan had to do with this movie, one of his lead actors and someone who had become one of his friends tragically dies in the middle of production and he has to finish the movie without him that’s a daunting challenge and a lot to handle yet I think he balanced all of the elements amazingly and it’s why for me this will always be THE best movie in the franchise for me
The ending of this has one of the best tributes to an actor of any movie I’ve ever seen. James Wan had the biggest hill to climb but he managed to pull it together.

48:03 girl, he's the original main character!
yeah it all switched to vin after tokyo bc paul said no to coming back for that ending scene and vin did
I watched this in a cinema in New York while on vacation (I'm from the UK) and the whole audience applauded when the "For Paul" bit came on. I was crying then, as I think the whole audience was. Still get emotional now watching it.
RIP the great Paul Walker ❤ Fast&Furious family is worldwide n we miss u...
Paul was the face of this franchise. It wasn't the same since. He was the MAIN character before it switched to Vin
- When you find him, just do me one favor (Hobbs)
- What's that? (Toretto)
- Don't miss. (Hobbs)
And here we go to 36:51...
the "no more funerals" / "just one more" gets me every time, and it's so early in the movie
You girls need to watch Tony Jaa in "Ong Bak" and "The Protector".
I watched it when it came out, it hit real hard later on that year when my best friend passed away.
The fast and furious movies helped a bit re-watching them just to see dom and bryans frienship and knowing how they were like brothers in real life like mine was.
Cherish your friends and family
Fast and furious rule you gotta top the craziness of the previous movie. Also the Paul Walker tribute so emotional especially right now.
Statham fighting style and choregraphies are always so intense. He's one of the few guys that looks he really wants to hurt you lol. Scary.
I cried in the theaters when this came out. I was 19
I remember when this movie hit then theaters and at the end everyone was bawling their eyes out... 9 years and it still makes you cry
It was the first time a celebrity got so much love after they passed. A post social media world phenomenon.
This movie still makes me cry to this day. He’ll forever live on. Long Live the GOAT Paul Walker forever. ❤️🙏🏽🕊😭😭🐐👑♾️♾️
FURIOUS 7 is the best tributes for Paul Walker... and plus the " See You Again" song.. hit so hard.
Why she’s leaving, well I’ve kind of always thought with the way her and Dom act in the hospital is a preview and you’ll find out why she left in part 8. I think that awkward interaction was a sign of things to come.
this was the first movie i saw in a theater where i openly cried. Paul Walker was one of my favorite actors growing up. That send off just broke me.
another fun fact, idk if someone else said it already but they actually dropped those cars out of an airplane. It honestly surprises me with how much practical stuff they use in these movies
I love that y’all are on board with the ridiculousness of these movies, it makes them so much fun.
Watched it the day it released. Not a single dry eye in the theater. Extremely beloved character and person
Watched this in the cinema when it came out and during the ending, you could feel the emotion in there - the silence was deafening..
Do they realize Shaw is Jason Stratham? They just call him that guy.
How does Steph not know? She’s seen him in other movies.
4:52: "why are they all leaving"....made me think of Johnny from Deadpool & Wolverine....they were messing with the budget too much :P
(not to the Same extent as Evan's but still...
#forpaul
42:29 I don’t get how Kristen mishears the dialogue 😮 😂
Very touching flick. Btw those that know. Tony Jaa is the man. Onk Bak & The Protector series are FIRE. Saw Ong Bak in the theater 7 times, fighting blew my mind.
The thing that always gets me in this film is at the funeral when tyrese says to Paul ‘promise me no more funerals’ and then Paul says ‘just 1 more’ that bit was always weird to me with Paul dying
Small detail that I never hear anyone bring up but in that final shot, they separate at the same speed and time, implying that the race was a tie and that they parted ways as equals.
The end of this movie always kills me, and the two of you’s reaction to it is very relatable, lol. So heartbreaking and moving
This ending... still makes me cry. He got out. Brian got his ending. Every year for my birthday, I drive for Paul because I share a birthday with him.
One of those moments im just glad i got to experience in theatres with a packed crowd all cheering for paul
Held it together. Then cried when Kristen started tearing up. Then absolutely lost myself when Steph cried. Loved this reaction #RIPPaul
Honestly if there’s one thing as an aspiring filmmaker mainly a director I don’t envy it’s the task that James Wan had to do with this movie, one of his lead actors and someone who had become one of his friends tragically dies in the middle of production and he has to finish the movie without him that’s a daunting challenge and a lot to handle yet I think he balanced all of the elements amazingly and it’s why for me this will always be THE best movie in the franchise for me
Real men don't cry.
Me:😭😭😭😭
No matter what direction this franchise may go, it will always have a place in our hearts
