i am 65 years old and partially sighted, i followed this tutorial and fond it very easy to understand what you were trying to teach me, i am a total newcomer to Blender. i hope to use the skills here to model my childhood home and close surroundings. i look forward to more lessons
Also if I’m not mistaken you can plug the AO map into the AO node attached to a color ramp going into a mixed shader with diffuse black. Use the color ramp as a slider for intensity and voila
Ohh, interesting. Thanks man. Also, you gotta get a way to talk to me again lol
@@PolygonIsland definitely! I think I have your number maybe? I’ll try to find that
that intro is GOLD xDDDD
Thanks man and I mean really Thank you. I’ve been struggling with texturing big time
How in the fuck did you manage to actually make an entertaining tutorial video on using blender. Blows my fucking mind
Nice tutorial! I recommend you start using that addon that shows what keys you press so that we can see what you did even if you forgot to mention your keystrokes. Also there is a way to use ao maps, you mix it with the albedo, but I forget the specifics because I never use them :p. It's on the stack exchange though
Cool
Great tutorial. Never be afraid to overexplain. Blender is deep! Thank you and I'll keep looking for your deep dives.
My exported models (.blend, .obj, .fbx) are loading in blender just fine with the texture, but when loaded in other software they don't have the texture on.
While loading other models from the internet in the same other software they have the textures on, why?
So you helped me with an issue I couldn't find a fix for. Thank you! applying all transforms fixed my issues it was simple and nobody else told me to even do that!
Glad you got something from it!
I am not just your great fan but also a subscriber! Thanks for these videos!
nice tutorial, and im glad u also tell all the keys u press so even a complete beginner can easly follow along :)
if i would play a game where i drink alkohol whenever u say "uuuhhhmmm" i would be drunk by the second minute of your tutorial
if i had a drink everytime i've heard this i'd be banned from every bar in the country
Also for some reason my subdivision modifier does not have adaptive subdivision option
can you do please a tutorial of grass pbr ? I mean grass like stadiums not too long
Very well explained! I liked how you can an explanation for most things, extremely helpful
Hey thanks! This tutorial helped me a lot!
For AO, just MixRGB -> Multiply with albedo
This is really cool dude😎😀👍 and cool website 🎉
thanks
Ctrl a.. neat! I needed that ty
INCREDIBLEE TUTORIAL!!! Thank you so much!! You help me & explain very good! ;)
Any time I do any of these steps not in order, my blender crashes or freezes. Note that every little thing does matter
My computer is alright do you think having my cycles render on gpu rather than cou would help? When it is frozen my cpu is at like 7% and memory is in red with blender at 2,000mb+
I love you PolygonIsland
You are my hero !!!
uumm this method works when I test it on a new blend file but if I open one up and it had a particle effect in the plane , the displacement won't be affected when I try to make changes..weird?
10:05 why i need see your face when tutorial goin in programs interface
the intro is great, i subscribe
nice tutorial!
NIce tutorial man
what do you think of quixel megascans to download textures? btw this this tutorial is amazing, thank you
Megascans is definitely a very good option for textures and materials since they're all photoscanned, which gives them a lot of detail
Be warned. Unless you subscribe to them, you can’t use the textures commercially unless the final results is on Unreal Engine
@@lostcrusader8053 thanks for the information!
