Great overview...I absolutely love this game and I can't stop thinking about it. I've now played two full "4-player" games solo where I played each of the three Classes and the State to learn the various roles...chef's kiss! I will say, I love the assymetry and as far as the taxes are concerned, I really can't complain that they distilled thousands of pages of tax code imto a few matrices which prove quite accessible.
Some helpful soul developed an app that lets you input the board state and it will tell you at a glance what is the tax multiplier, how many goods are produced, and what wages and taxes need to be paid.
