for scarab, you can place a marine in the sniper tower in the centre of the map then research new blood. your dry humour and commentary is mad funny, idk something about someone nerding out while adding the most specific and humorous descriptions is the best
9:05 While the Mega Turret is quite frustrating, relying on "pure distilled RNG" isn't the only way to handle it. The Mega Turret is fully destructable, and can be destroyed somewhat easily without losing any units. The method comes from a video getting a gold medal without losing any units. In that video, they take the second base relatively early on. They build a Wolverine and a handful of Cobra's from that base. By using a siege-crawl strategy where the Wolverine scouts for the Cobras, the Mega Turret can be approached and destroyed with very little risk.
I love finding new information about an older game, especially ones I've played so much. Great video, your narration is fantastic and the commitment is respectable. Subbed.

Yes, healing is shared between units under the healing power. If you have a lot of damaged units the healing is spread out to all of them. The same applies to anything that does splash damage as well so unlike other games stacked units actually receive less damage as it spreads out to all targets.

Great video, man. Love this game, and you did a great job making this as entertaining as Grant's series. Hope you keep up the good content. Liked and subbed.
I still can't believe that you actually made it. I consistently lose at least 5 units either by mistake or because I forgot about them and later I realise that I can casually drop "one more" pod where I'm looking at the moment, (of course, for that pod to appear, there is a marine squad that got deleted somewhere on the map).
Between 5:02 and 5:06, unit pop count clearly displays 38/30 then 35/30. You're right about the marines making it but sadly a scorpion likely didn't as they're 3 pop each.
Awesome video, there were a lot of things I had never really thought about before on here! I did have a note on 1 level that I think really might help on your next run. Arcadia Docks can be made much much easier if you send Forge over too the 2nd fire base spawn point before the covenant get too it, and build 2 bases at the same time. This makes it much easier to spawn and upgrade units, and you can actually go on the offensive and try to take down the covenant mega turret before it comes online (although it is really difficult even just on heroic). But having the 2nd closer base and units down there causes the mega turret to aim for them rather than the transports. Also another side note, if in the beginning you use Forge, and the hornets to take out the covent sitting in the police towers, you can then put marines in them. They rarely go down due to Halo Wars big defense buff added with cover, and you end up saving a crap ton of more civilians because of it.
As the video neared the end of the second to last mission, I wondered if you would pay homage to the “greatest cutscene in Halo history” and well, whaddya know, a cultured reference to the greatest cutscene in Halo history. Loved this, you deserve more subs.
The engine obeys the laws of gravity and only slides down the hill if the Elephant dies *on* one of the slopes. When it's on the flat ground between them you're in the clear. The intention is to build up your forces between slopes and prepare for the next push, but we discovered pretty quickly that it's way more effective to clear the whole map and then wait three minutes for the Elephant to climb the hill uncontested
Hey my guy idk if your even alive since you have only like 3 videos atleast on this channel. But I like your content! It's nice to see that GGG concepts bring you to do halo stuff. It would be fun to see more of them. Hope you bring more things on this channel. You have great ideas and good executions.
For how incredibly crazy the development for this game was, it still holds up the story cutscenes especially when you arrive to Arcadia and see the Spartans gives me chills, such a good game!
24:20, I think why your units survived this is that hwile YES the covenant rush you, what the AI is told to gun for is the power core, which seems to be saving your units once the covenant units move into range of it
Oh this brings back so many memories. I struggled for the longest time on that final mission, even drawing up plans during geometry class in high school to try to beat it. Funnily enough, that’s how I beat it.
There is a super cheesy strat to stop the Arcadia Outskirts mega cannon, you can send Red Team or your ODSTs to take the area where it spawns, meaning they can kill the mega cannon as it builds
My childhood game genre is rts and this game is the thing that pulled me into Halo and its lore, i just didnt enjoy the fps that much but this game really does it for me.
Great run and its insane that you didn't really use vet'd Spartan Tanks all that much. When I did LASO runs for Halo Wars, putting Red team in Tanks can solo pretty much every map where you can build them.

This is my first video from your channel, but I appreciate all the Halo lore references
Man, you brought me up too many good memories from the good times. Nice video, keep it up!
that last line of "no deaths except for 1 soldier. Sergeant J Forge" hits a lot harder on a deathless run ngl
Your deep lore references got me geeking. Love this, keep it coming.
Damn man really gives props and does his research so he can provide quality content on an old gem.
Great video man keep up the good work
This was a great watch, thank you for doing it.
As the video neared the end of the second to last mission, I wondered if you would pay homage to the “greatest cutscene in Halo history” and well, whaddya know, a cultured reference to the greatest cutscene in Halo history.
Loved this, you deserve more subs.
I will SUPPORT this channel no matter what
That was pretty cool man. Good job. 😊
And yes that cutscene is absolutely amazing!
I can't believe you're such a small creator, but released such a high quality video. I will definitely be eagerly awaiting the Halo Wars 2 version lol
You're quite talented and entertaining for only two videos. I hope you have a long and blessed endeavor with this.
great video. so glad youtube recommended this to me
The engine obeys the laws of gravity and only slides down the hill if the Elephant dies *on* one of the slopes. When it's on the flat ground between them you're in the clear. The intention is to build up your forces between slopes and prepare for the next push, but we discovered pretty quickly that it's way more effective to clear the whole map and then wait three minutes for the Elephant to climb the hill uncontested
Max: "Can you complete Halo Wars without losing a unit?"
Sgt. Forge: "No."
I have successfully watched, in one sitting, 100% of this channel's videos. Bask in my glory.
Hey my guy idk if your even alive since you have only like 3 videos atleast on this channel. But I like your content! It's nice to see that GGG concepts bring you to do halo stuff. It would be fun to see more of them.
Hope you bring more things on this channel. You have great ideas and good executions.
Great content. Was interesting to see how my memory of the OG Halo Wars holds up.
For how incredibly crazy the development for this game was, it still holds up the story cutscenes especially when you arrive to Arcadia and see the Spartans gives me chills, such a good game!
24:20, I think why your units survived this is that hwile YES the covenant rush you, what the AI is told to gun for is the power core, which seems to be saving your units once the covenant units move into range of it
Both of your videos have been excellent so far! I’m looking forward to whatever else you release
In response to 30:34 not just halo, but the Star Wars amvs too so many viewings of captain fordo blasting droids to blow me away XD
27:04 "my Uber units prevail" meanwhile that one vulture on literal life support xd
I subbed this was great, good editing the specific names for groups was absolutely hilarious. I don’t know how you don’t have more views.
I put them on the highway and use rockets
Great content and video! I first bought halo wars not knowing it was an rts, but ended up loving it.
I thought there was no chance in hell of you getting past Arcadia City, Scarab, or Shield World. This was soooo good!
My childhood game genre is rts and this game is the thing that pulled me into Halo and its lore, i just didnt enjoy the fps that much but this game really does it for me.
30:27
Best Halo Spartan representation. He knows! He knows!
amazing video, keep them up!
Looking forward to additional content coming! I have high hopes for this channel!
Earns a subscribe, production quality is amazing and deep knowledge of a game I hold dear
love this content and i whole heartedly appreciate this effort ! well done
We honour Forge by giving the Flood and Covenant the Hawk Tua
Loved this video, looking forward to your future Halo videos
Your channel deserves way more subs
Beautiful video, well done
lore accurate captain cutter
Great run and its insane that you didn't really use vet'd Spartan Tanks all that much. When I did LASO runs for Halo Wars, putting Red team in Tanks can solo pretty much every map where you can build them.
