Yep. They don't look silly or superfluous. I love how the UNSC ships are these big, bulky things built around their MAC gun, hence their length. The Covenant ships really are something else. They're as graceful as sea creatures, but also very ominous. There's a mission in ODST when you're trying to escape the city whilst a Covenant army is bearing down on you. That's bad enough. Then a fucking Assault Carrier appears from the clouds ahead, slowly moving to cut-off your escape! Man, Halo really nails the ship designs and conveys their scale and power.

Unless you are a lot stronger than you look, that composer isn't going anywhere". @@JustinTK416 buddy you should play ME2 and ME3 they are best in terms of gameplay, graphics and story... And also you can romance with any character of your choice 😁😁😁
@Mr Lion They didn't lose hundreds of worlds though. Less than a hundred worlds were glassed by the covenant, and while granted Humanity suffered during the war, they *massively* bounced back using forerunner and covenant tech. 343 did a great job with the UNSC, more Halo games about struggling against the covenant would have been boring and tedious.
Well the kraken desing is meant to resemble a forerunner sentinel found by the covenant, most likelly that giant sentinel was made to fight an equally giant flood form
The scary thing is the Covenant had hundreds more ships they never deployed in their war with humanity. Possibly thousands, either way we were losing so bad they saw the war more as a pest removal than anything.
Covenant ships are better than human ships in every single way during the war that is, not after. Covenant ships have energy shields that can take one to two shop from ship MAC rounds, point defence pulse lasers that literally take out archer missiles with extreme accuracy. better propulsion systems can navigate slipspace a lot more accurately and much faster. Example when human ships enter normal space from slip space they would have to exit from the star systems edge, they could end being in the sun or a planet. While the covenant can make pin point jumps in system. And let's not forget the weapons. They have glassing/excavation beam. Plasma Lance. Self guiding plasma torpedos. The plasma weapons boil and melt the human ships 2 meter titanium A battleplate like a torch going through rice paper. In short, for humans to win on equal footing is that we need to out number the covenant ships 3/1. Even then the losses would b severe. On ground we can hold our own. This is why humanity was on the edge of extinction.
Til ya realized Keyes was able to single handily coordinate his sole Pillar of Autumn and taken out like 3 Covenant ships that was also twice or even three times larger then the Autumn. Size isn't everything with a brilliant strategy such as Keye's Loop done by yours truly CAPTAIN Jacob Keyes

Technically, High Charity was created by yanking a chunk of the Prophet's planet with it when a splinter group took the Forerunner Key Ship so...Apart from everything built on it...not too long in that case.
@@unlisted9494 Probably something along those lines. Almost all of the races involved in the covenant had easier access to relics from the time of For-runners than humans did. That is literally the only reason the covenant had more advanced technology.
Man, the accuracy and the names. Great work. BUT, it'd be funny if you included something like the Sentinel Retriever from Halo Wars 2. There is no way a grenade is 8 inches tall. Lobbing that thing would be a nightmare. I've held and thrown a modern grenade, they are 3 inches tall and pretty hefty. Where I went to basic, there was a wall in the waiting area for the live grenade range with a wall. On that wall was the signed names of those who managed to hit the berm in the back with the grenade. It was 25 meters away and landed it just short and gave it my all. Only Master Chief could ever hope to throw a grenade like that. It must weigh about the same as a large bowling ball.
cxx23 Nah, this video is right. The banshees size in this video is what Halopedia lists the size as. It could be the canon size of the vehicle doesn’t match up to what’s in game
@@Giblet12 the games are the Canon sizes. "official" measurements outside the games just got it wrong. Games came first so as far as I can see, they're the Canon that everything should be based off of. So yeah. The measurements in this video are off.
Some of this seems a little incorrect, despite Spartans being quite large, think of a 30 cm ruler, a plasma grenade is supposedly 2 thirds of that, that’s a little smaller than a soccer ball, even for a spartan it would be hard to hold let alone throw
notbob555 I think I realised why, it is not lore, they just based it off gameplay, and because it wouldn’t be a very fun game if frag grenades were heaps small and hard to see, they made them bigger when playing
When you play Halo CE, in the last mission, The Maw, there is a cutscene where chief tosses one frag grenade in his hand, and that thing is really a size of a fucking football! Given that chief himself is hardly a small fellow, you can see that they really are big! And obviously this is only based on gameplay and disregarding all other lore and source material besides that.

Halo has the best looking ships out of any other Science fictions

Chris Burke I was talking about the lore aspect you mongoloid.
I didn't realize that the long night of solace was that big. Reach put a big dent in the covenant fleet.
The scary thing is the Covenant had hundreds more ships they never deployed in their war with humanity. Possibly thousands, either way we were losing so bad they saw the war more as a pest removal than anything.
No wonder the Savannah lost against the Corvette.
It's almost double the size wtf
Commonwealth nearly lost against Unrelenting if it wasn’t for The Spartans. And it was a CRS.

I saw the flood infection form and I was like “wow” because they don’t seem that big
Some of this seems a little incorrect, despite Spartans being quite large, think of a 30 cm ruler, a plasma grenade is supposedly 2 thirds of that, that’s a little smaller than a soccer ball, even for a spartan it would be hard to hold let alone throw
They probably meant millimeters cause the frag grenade was even bigger, and those aren't even different from real ones.
notbob555 I think I realised why, it is not lore, they just based it off gameplay, and because it wouldn’t be a very fun game if frag grenades were heaps small and hard to see, they made them bigger when playing
When you play Halo CE, in the last mission, The Maw, there is a cutscene where chief tosses one frag grenade in his hand, and that thing is really a size of a fucking football!
