I love how Naughty Bear gets his own mori. I'm glad they're paying homage to him to this day.
Naughty bear is such a nostalgic game to me, always nice seeing a reference to it despite its lack of popularity.

Though Memento Mori’s are a LOT more tame than they used to be, they’re still pretty fun to see, can’t count how many times I’ve grinned like an idiot when my singularity picks up the T-bager I’ve been chasing all game only to hit him with the “It’ll be fast, possibly painless”

In this case, they should be a lot more common, at least the green one right now should be a brown since it's just for 1 survivor who also got hooked twice! As a killer, you will most likely kill anyway a survivor you downed for the third hook state and as a survivor, you 95% already lost in this situation so why not mori instead?

It's pretty crazy how to this day moris are considered to be toxic, whenever I bring a mori regardless if I played nicely or like normal without tunneling I still get a lot of crap from the survivors just because I brought it.
No one has complained about the mori’s to me in a while because they are quite pointless now

I had a daily ritual to kill 1 survivor by a hand as Nemesis. So I picked green Mori and went into game. Funnily enough there was Jill. Needless to say she experienced what lore accurate Nemesis is.

By now I only see 5 reasons to use Memento mori:
1. Kill faster if the hooks are too far (works 10% of the time)
2. Make cool looking shots (is this the new purpose of moris?)
3. Make some "game over" ambience (kill 2-4 survs in one room)
4. More bloodpoints (useless)
5. Kill for fun (good luck making 2 kills)
This turns worse when none of this are worth it

It baffles me why they decided to try and make this whole 'Last Survivor Standing' system for Finisher Moris when as other people are saying, the obvious and much simpler answer would be to just make the yellow Mori as it works now basekit. It keeps the green and iridescent Moris around, and it wouldn't really change too much about the current game balance given that unless they have Deliverance active hooking the last survivor even once is basically a death sentence if everyone else is already escaped or dead.
And if they really think it would be too powerful as it, they could add the caveat that all the other survivors need to be sacrificed or dead first with no escapes, so that the killer only gets it as a reward for a successful 4K.
Deliverance dosen't work if you are the last one so it even less problematic. They should just put it
I wish they did more with Moris. I like the idea of a match ending with a mori, like it's your reward for "winning", but obviously we must not get rid of slug racing. Also, adding more moris to the existing killers would be great. That Trapper skin is a nice first step, but ideally, you'd be able to select which mori you wanna take with you regardless of your skin - but if buying a legendary skin is the price to pay for a new mori, I'd be happy to do so. Just think of For Honor or even Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Finishers are a big deal and each character having multiple ones is a nice bit of variety.
I love the lawbringers chokehold and choking executions. Dura Led is also amazing.

Nowadays it can prevent sabo, flashlight/flashbang, pallet saves, power struggle/ flip flop escapes or hooks too far away. Since I use blood warden if there isn’t enough hooks near the gate I can mori one more more survivors in some situations. I just use mori to see the kill animation
Honestly, I like current moris, more of a fun thing then anything else. Honestly think cypress should be base kit

I just use them occasionally because they add a bit of flavor to the game if you've been playing it all day. It's also always funny seeing other Survivors get in the animation, ESPECIALLY with Ghost Face.
I mean not everything has to bring an advantage in-game
I'd say current moris are great just to get a fancy kill and that's what they should be
The only advantage they actually bring is save hooks, avoid flashlight saves and some perks

If it takes an offering spot. It should change the nature of the game in some way. That's true for all offerings and shows how much of a update they need as well as more offering items- especially for killers that can actually affect the game in a way that's worth a damn - right now. Offering are a blood point booster at best and a mpa picker for swfs.
Moris should be base kit. If you have to down people 3 times anyway to get it. Just cut out the middle man and let you play as a killer properly than hook man mchookerdude. Or, actually buff mor again.
I still do not understand why they had to over complicate the base kit mori instead of literally making it like the yellow offering. “1 survivor who is left that hasn’t been sacrificed can be mori’d” and thats it no need to make some final stand when people are slugged that completely changes how a scenario of the game is played out
It would be a great addition if they implement the yellow mori basekit since the saying mobile gacha skins will coming to PC aswell making killer have more mori variety but sadly the mobile stop doing that recently
I liked the finisher mori. It doesn't look like it'll ever come back but I kinda wish it did return in some capacity (maybe not the free unbreakables, but a quick end to the match when all 4 get downed)
Also I really liked the SOUND EFFECTS of the Last Man Standing. It was just 2 trumpet notes + the FOV increase iirc, but it added to the excitement and urgency in a really awesome way!

So survivors get nothing but killers get the finishing Mori. Great idea. It was a shit system then and it would be even worse if your idea of it was implemented. Maybe if there’s one survivor left and they are downed then fine whatever but that’s the only decent option for a finishing mori.
the game should not end as soon as everyone is downed, thats the dumbest thing i think i have ever heard, the only way it would be good is if there is only one survivor left in the trial, if every else has escaped or been sacrificed already, then we can say its fair as long as hatch exists
It was just too overbearing and somehow managed to be unbalanced in both directions at the same time. Auto-winning the game, just because everyone is downed, is stupid. As is making "unbreakable" base kit. Just messes far too much with the dynamics of the game. And any bread and butter M1 killer, with ordinary mobility and lethality, would become completely unviable at the higher echelons of MMR.

If you ever feel like "I need excitement" just burn a Mori. The teams will suddenly try to be hyper-coordinated. I noticed this years ago when I ran out of BP buffs to burn and started using Moris.
I am so glad they didnt remove Moris from the game, idk why but theres some form of sadistic pride in happening upon the corpse of someone you killed earlier in the trial, or on the flip side, the shock of realizing the body you see isnt a map thing, that was your teammate, keyword, was.
Behavior should do this.
Make some Really Cool Skins for the Killers and Make a New Mori for that Killer Skin and the OG Skins just have the same old Moris to it.
If I'm a survivor I actually *love* when the killer brings a mori! Instead of the boring old sacrificing animation when you die on the hook, you get a cool unique animation with your character and the killer :) getting picked up to get put on a hook so you have a chance to escape and get the extra juicy BP is nice and all but you could do that any time. Losing items and BP is worth it for the cool animation imo!
the finisher mori should become base kit, but only for the final survivor only and boom solves the slugging issue
I swear, at this point they should just give moris a bp multipliers similar to pudding and bps. Because moris either don't happen or happen because killer suddenly feels very intimate with one survivor and doesn't see a world outside of them.
They could maybe do something like bump yellow one to green and give it pudding effect, bump green to purple and give it bps effect, give iri mori like 150% multiplier to everyone. And on top of that maybe give morid surv like half the points they get for escaping - like 4k for normal surv and 6k for obsession (since moris can be frustrating to deal with as survivor, because suddenly all killer thinks about is you so you can't get any points). That would make moris more prevalent, since at least iri one would give more points than anything can give (and killer usually run bp offerings anyway, so it would combine cool with practical).
I still use them all the time. I love seeing the animations.
I feel like the finisher mori could be cool for like a custom setting for custom matches that you can enable or not
The last standing mechanic could work if some more implications were added but i guess no nee stuff for us since some people would get mad if it didn't play out perfectly
I bring moris just in case towards the end of the game there’s no hooks around and I have to get someone out of the game, I usually bring a yellow one because when it gets to 2 survs I slug for the 4k because why not and survs crawl to corners of the map

Personally, when it comes to morjs, if it saves me from the survs getting a flashlight save then yeah, its a W in my book. Can't tell you how many times a surv will just stare at me as I'm mori'ing cause they wanted to save w/ a flashlight or pallet stun...plus, the animations are cool.
Funny thing when I play wesker and there’s Chris in the lobby I instantly put on a Rare Mori because of Resident Evil Lore if Wesker was actually the one to win
Soon the finisher mori will be coming once the devs try to balance it like they said a while ago that they said that they need to fix some things to it in order for it to be fair and what will it be who knows until it comes out maybe next year in the mid chapter update
Totally stopped using moris when they required you get two hooks before you could use them. Switched to the perks to get my kills in it I felt like using them.
I love mori animation and loving to see survivor sad cuz they can't pallet save or flashlight save can only just watching their friend die by my momento mori XD.

Honestly don't know why they don't just make the yellow mori basekit.
I mean, if you have the last survivor down on the ground, and all the other survivors are dead, unless the stars align you've basically won that match. Most likely you're in endgame, so DS is disabled, so it's not like it impacts that perk too intensely. And it lets you finish the game out in a stylish manner, without all the complications the previous finisher mori system brought. Also, with the introductions of skin-specific moris into the main game, with the naughty bear skin, then having moris appear more will definitely get more people to buy those skins with the unique mori.
Overall, making the yellow mori basekit seems like an easy way to reward killers for a 4k with a stylish finisher with little to no complications to the game itself.
You don't even have to get rid of the yellow mori offering itself, you could make the offering provide a big bloodpoint reward for pulling off that finisher mori.
and here, we see the desperate Dead by Daylight player, giving great advice that will never be heard by the delusion developers because they are too busy thinking of ways to make the game more kill related than hook related, making the game more oriented around slugging and making the other side miserable regardless of which side you play on, adding such fun perks to face like, made for this, ultimate weapon, adrenaline, devour hope, no one escapes doug, off the record

I remember when you only needed to hook a survivor once to Mori
The idea of the "Finisher" Mori *could* work, But they'd need to make it so that, Instead of when all survivors are down, It's all survivors are beyond help, Bar the one just downed. For example, If they're on the hook in the 2nd phase.
Basically, Unless the killer actively lets you escape, There's no hope for the survivors, Then you can use the finisher Mori.
It be a cool way to finish a match, And actually get to see the Moris, Something that doesn't happen that often.

Moris are good in certain situations (to far away from a hook or need to get a kill very fast) but I think of them as a way to kill the survivors in a cool way

I honestly think that the basekit unbreakable was a good thing, but not the way they implemented it. Being slugged is the most boring thing in the game, it's on the same line as being facecamped to death - but they added deliverance basekit. So in order to make it work, increase the timer to something big like 1 minute no matter what perks you have equipped, if the killer doesn't pick you up in this time nor your teammates bother coming rescue you, then you deserve a second chance. Or maybe just give survivors an option to bleed faster on the floor, because nobody wants to wait 4 minutes not being able to do anything (especially in those 2v1 scenarios where the killer is slugging for 4k and the last survivor is just hiding in a locker). Also the cypher mori basekit would be nice, but give the killer the choice of using the mori on the last survivor alive or giving him the hatch, forcing the animation was the issue. Maybe also give killers deerstalker basekit when the last survivor alive is in the dying state so you can skip minutes of searching corners.

I’m cool with deer stalker base kit, but I think everything else is ridiculous. There already is anti-slugging perks that are pretty powerful alone so why give base kit unbreakable? If you get slugged, it’s you and your teams fault for not responsibly dissipating Killer pressure. Your change both punishes a killer for playing smartly during a situational rush and makes bleeding out essentially pointless.
Is it boring, sure, but you shouldn’t be finding yourself in such a situation, period. If anything, there should be a way to bleed out faster to rush to the next match sooner. I had an idea where you bleed out significantly faster, but your down bar is quickly filled up. If a teammate gets you up, you’re given endurance, but put into deep wound. This would be a high risk perk that would severely punish you on your next downing.

Only reason I bring a Mori is so I know who's on Deathhook and leave them on the floor until everyone is on final. Then I let em go, helps so I don't have to count hooks myself. Lol

Maybe make it to where if you have unbreakable or flip flop or something you can't be finished or something, maybe that's why ppl were so against it cause it makes second chances perks kinda null in that regards
this game NEEDS its horror BACK more, they really need to make the green mori basekit for killers why should every single surivvor get 3 to 4 chances to the HOOK! ITS absurd and clearly favors the survivors in this game, flashlight saves, pallets drops, sabtoge hooks, hook placement being extremly bad can't even make it to hooks in certain areas, body blocks from survivors to hook etc....! the killers should be able to mori one surivor no matter what when they reach the last hook stage and go down. killers should be able to mori one survivor in the match without the red or yellow being brought in.
i think they should add back finisher mori but add it back normally. the game is the same nothing changes just in a 1v1 u get the mori base kit. this is not op at all and does not change the game. it requires all survivors but 1 to be killed. so its just normal dbd but u get a built in mori for winning the 1v1. whats wrong with that?

Honestlt i say just make all of the current mori offerings basekit. All the offerings require the survivor to be as good as dead, might as well end them in a flashy way. Wouldnt be too OP either because, like i said, if youre on your 2nd hook stage, chamces are you arent getting out, and if you have a shot to get out. Well then, you wouldnt have gotten down in the first place. Plus its also optional, i mean i *could* choose to hook you, or i could mori you. Before anyone says "le broken!! You are le stupid!!!" PH has this ability. He can mori survivors on the 2nd stage if theyre tormented. How busted is it on him? Not very, like i said, on the 2nd stage you were gonna die regardless. So let us use some spice to finish off these survivors

Survivors literally say killers shouldn’t follow them or stop survivors from getting other survivors off hook…. I still can’t figure out why DBD devs even listen to survivors it ruins the game

I don't mind dying if the game was just abit fun and/or fair, but I hate mori with a passion. This is 'mostly' a thing for killers only. To me as a survivor it feels like a kick to the face when the killer already won. At the VERY least let survivors press to skip the animation. That way survivors that don't like it AND the killer that likes it both win.
You'd rather just skip then being able to watch a cool animation that's not just getting hooked again
