Definitely worth the watch in general but BHC fans will love it!
This should be released in theaters first then dropped on streaming. This looks so good, Eddie hasn’t aged, he hasn’t lost a step as Axel. The tone and formula are still there.
Contract...Eddie Murphy has a contract with Netflix just like Adam Sandler. Anything they make goes there first unless they allow it to be released elsewhere.
Are you kidding me? This news and seeing Eddie Murphy and the crew from the very 1st Beverly Hills Cop of 1984 is an absolute blessing. I mean that was exactly 40 YEARS AGO people‼ 😮 💪🏽💪🏽
Using Neutron Dance and Axel F was a genius move. That shot of Axel firing a weapon around the corner is classic Bruckheimer. Kevin Bacon as the big bad...this gonna be gold.
I bet you those 2 female cops arrested him for getting thrown through the glass lobby window. I also bet that one of the female cops probably told him to shut his yap while taking him to the police station 😂
Great film. It’s hard to capture the action and comedy of the 80’s without it looking cheesy and poorly made in today’s world. But they absolutely nailed this. It’s just like the others only 40 years on. Great nostalgia film. Loved it 😅
@FabledGentleman that has nothing to with it being in theatres. The whole franchise is rated r. And it's an insult of the fact that it's on Netflix with it being it's 40th anniversary and all. That just an opinion
@@MIKESMOVIECORNERANDMORE It does have something to do with that, movies have become so expensive to make, they need to fill more seats to get their money back. Rating it R just means less seats. So for this movie to be in theaters, they would have to cut it to pg-13, the risk is just too high. And also remember that this series has only become worse and worse, the first movie was a phenomenon, and is a true classic. But the next two, not so much. The third one is pretty much disliked by both critics and regular movie goers combined. So there you have it. I think it's for the best that this is kept out of the cinemas.
Eddie Murphy on a roll with these R-rated movies. Also, make room for the rebound of Mr. Jerry Bruckheimer. Bad Boys Ride or Die AND Axel F in the same year?! Take a bow, Bruckheimer.
Only those who were teens and in their 20s when the first movie came out like me can really get to appreciate this movie. Love how it has that 80s movies touch. See, back then, we didn't have smartphones or any electronic devices like now. No social media. Just the movies, TV shows, and the Arcades. I remember watching the first one like 10 times in the theater. It was like $1.50 matinee. Movies were in the theaters for more than a month. Good ol ' days I tell you. Anyways, I really enjoyed this movie 😃
@jtenos , you may be right, but you knew who I was talking about... And for the record, I don't need a spelling correction, it's a character's name, not a government name😜
Absolutely brilliant film! Been waiting years for this. Wish it was on at the cinema, that's where it deserves to be, not straight onto Netflix. Some laugh out loud scenes. They got the balance right, really great film. Some actors were born to play that part, for me, Eddie Murphy IS and always will be Axel Foley, like Christopher Reeve to me was and IS still Superman, if you know what I mean.
Why ? It's not the same it's a cash grab! Name any of those movies which will be good? As a gen Xer myself I hate this crap! Just go watch the originals and you will have a better time! I prefer my 80s classic IP's to not be written by annoying millennials! All this stuff is garbage! But keep consoooooming! 😅
I have spent half an hour watching old trailers for Beverly Hills Cop 1-3. The trailers for 1 obviously did not include the Axel F theme, but neither 2. However, the trailer for 3 blasts it from the word go. It's official, nostalgia was invented in the 90s.
With that first teaser, I was nervous John Ashton and Judge Reinhold were going to be cameos, And that Eddie Murphy wasn’t going to have that same energy as the first two films, that was absent in the 3rd. And Holy Crap, this trailer laid all those fears to rest. This looks awesome.
They nailed the tone of the first two with this fourth one. It really should be in theatres, this would make a killing like Top Gun 2. I think they failed to realise how popular Axel Foley is. He is a pop culture icon.
@@jokerfleckcast3196 I think Netflix is on its arse so they need something like this to draw up subscribers. I mean, I cancelled my Netflix after they signed up Sparkles and Hazmat!!

This should be released in theaters first then dropped on streaming. This looks so good, Eddie hasn’t aged, he hasn’t lost a step as Axel. The tone and formula are still there.
as they say: black don't crack
That's all stuntman helping him out with the action scenes. Eddie Murphy is old as hell 😂
Contract...Eddie Murphy has a contract with Netflix just like Adam Sandler. Anything they make goes there first unless they allow it to be released elsewhere.

I need to hear that classic Eddie Murphy "Axel" laugh or it ain't a Beverly Hills Cop movie
Exactly!
Only cringe comedy allowed now, sorry.
Sorry to say I heard Eddie Murphy refuses to do the laugh anymore. 😮
I have a feeling for the fans he will put it in there
His 25 children beat it out of him along with the humor. You're never hearing that laugh again.
Are you kidding me? This news and seeing Eddie Murphy and the crew from the very 1st Beverly Hills Cop of 1984 is an absolute blessing. I mean that was exactly 40 YEARS AGO people‼ 😮 💪🏽💪🏽
nope.. smh.. no.. that was not 40 years ago... it just wasn't okay? good.

@theprodigy4202 👍💯
Nope, it is not. Guy has aged. It does not look funny. People are not creative anymore.
The good old days when movies where made by men and fun to watch.
Just watched. Actually really good. Funny, good action, great nostalgia and a pretty tight story.
Definitely worth a watch!
When Billy said: "God, I missed you, Axel", I felt that. We all missed you, Axel Foley. Including me.
Me too 😊
Using Neutron Dance and Axel F was a genius move. That shot of Axel firing a weapon around the corner is classic Bruckheimer. Kevin Bacon as the big bad...this gonna be gold.
I’m crying like a little b over here. 🤘🏼💃
I'd hardly call that genius. They just put a couple of the original tracks in the trailer. I'd call that standard.
Aight the Lego cop car scene made me chuckle, this will prob be pretty fun
I love that because in the first one he compliments their police cars for being so nice and clean lol
Loved it 😅
This should have been released in theaters.
Thank you you just took the words out of my mouth!! I agree on all accounts
Too much of a risk
Then they would have to cut it to pg-13. And you probably wouldn't like that.

I have spent half an hour watching old trailers for Beverly Hills Cop 1-3. The trailers for 1 obviously did not include the Axel F theme, but neither 2. However, the trailer for 3 blasts it from the word go. It's official, nostalgia was invented in the 90s.
My dad would have loved that. Watched the movie and felt some magic

With that first teaser,
I was nervous John Ashton and Judge Reinhold were going to be cameos,
And that Eddie Murphy wasn’t going to have that same energy as the first two films, that was absent in the 3rd.
And Holy Crap, this trailer laid all those fears to rest.
This looks awesome.
I know right....teaser trailer was a bit bland and this trailer looks so much better!!
They nailed the tone of the first two with this fourth one. It really should be in theatres, this would make a killing like Top Gun 2. I think they failed to realise how popular Axel Foley is. He is a pop culture icon.

Why is this not in theaters. This could a huge summer hit. People are starving for content like this.
Because it's a garbage hollywood action movie with a totally predictable plot and cliche action sequences that we've seen a thousand times before.
Because its Netflix
because NOBODY goes to the movies knowing the film they paid 60.00 to see with a date will be streaming within 7 days or sooner.
