That crowd looks like they have no idea how amazing of a song they are listening to
Got the same vibe. Probably a generational thing. I would’ve lost my shi# … kinda like when I saw them play this live.❤
Maybe their parents would know DnC!
Right? Fuckin zombies
Fuggin clueless lol
Great version. Long live Kevin Kinney and Drivin N Cryin.
You can't really overrate how well those guys play together. Just awesome.
This song might be the most Georgia song ever. Lived in the Atlana burbs for 25 years and both my kids were born there. Seen the good and bad parts. Such vivid imagery.
Sadler Vaden is the man! Elevates every song he plays with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. They are lucky to have him and we are lucky to hear him. :)
Just really spending time with Jason and Sadler and the boys for the first time. Boy do I have a beautiful journey ahead.
Do you ever...!
Man those Gibsons sound crisp and Chad and Jimbo so tight as always. Best touring band out there right now! Well oiled machine!
Jason’s was wayyy quiet during his solo though
@@sethie_shots Yeah not sure what up with that while listening through phone. When I streamed to my audio system it was much better!
@@sethie_shots hard pan to the right, sounds better with headphones but his volume was slightly low.
100%
Best touring band put there?🙈 Geez, you don't get out much, do ya?
Saw Drivin' n Cryin' play this 20230915. They thanked Isbell and Sadler for including it on the new album and then rocked it out for what seemed like 10 minutes.
Saw these guys and they played this at the Tabernacle and kevin kinney came out and played with them this song and its sounded sick with 3 guitars, as the encore.
This is so fucking good!!! I LOVE Jason’s songs and will put him up against anybody … literally one of my favorite artists. However, when I saw him and the 400 Unit on the banks of the Blackfoot River in Bonner-Missoula, MT, this one brought the house down for me. Chills head-to-toe and time travel back to the late 80’s. Honeysuckle Blue to me is a top 5 Southern Rock song of all time … seriously. Nobody does this better than Jason & the 400 Unit. Sadler taking lead vocals is perfect and you can just feel how much Jason is all in. One of the best recordings on RUclips.
Driving And Cryin‼️👍✊👌Good Job
Sadler just can't get away from that good old Rock and Roll. His playing takes me back to the 60's. Never see him featured enough!
Agreed. Monster chops.
ive seen them live twice, jason lets him take alot of the solos and he always shreds
I saw them play this last night in Harrisburg PA...
They killed it...
Highlight of the night!
Not that I needed it, but I have another reason to love Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit; they cover Dryn-N-Cryn!
I saw driving n crying in ridgeland, MS back in the 90's! At The Dock! Jesus Christ what a night!
This has become my favorite song on the album. And boy Jason is great on harmony vocals.
The original version is pretty damn good too
Fuck yeah! Jason Isbell just won all the cool points for playing this! I almost didn't recognize or remember Sadler Vaden being in Drivin nCryin. The boy can play and sing!
Songs about the undead are all fine and good, but it's awesome to hear some proper rock and roll featuring Sadler Vaden. Reminds me of living in Asheville, NC not long after the original version was released.
i LOVED Drivin N Cryin
@@dalekarvonen1446
Why the past tense?
They are still together releasing new music and touring.
I think they are just as good now as they were back in the day.
@@charlesbolton8471 I love Sadler and ALT, but Laur Joamets is one of the nastiest guitar players I've ever heard.
Just saw them play this last night at Red Rocks. Awesome!
Man! Would love to see them at Red Rocks.
new respect for jason. he did the song justice
Drivin N Cryin
Jason has to be one of the best guitar players alive today.
That was freaking awesome! Thx
Doesn't look like that Bama crowd knows how lucky they are to hear this song!! Wake up people!
thank you for this
Absolutely excellent rendition! Well played, Sadler!
Can't wait to see them in Cincinnati next Friday! First live show since COVID!
Wouldn’t waste your time!
Beautiful.
saw them play this at the Ryman last month!!!!
Freaking Rad you guys switched guitars and places for this one. Energy is crazy. I want to get my guitar and jam.
I’m curious, I don’t think that Saddler is playing “Redeye” and I’m assuming that Jason’s SG is not the one that Saddler usually plays. Maybe someone can update this information for us. Killer performance!!
@@mikemetz4300 nah I know those two guitars ar not the actual guitars Red Eye does not come out at all and Jason has a exact replica Les Paul laser scanned to match RedEye. I just meant Sadler usually plays the SG, and Jason the Les Paul . I think they both picked up new guitars that are exactly kind of what the other guy normally plays- is what I meant by switching, if that makes any sense at all hahaha. And obvi Jason usually sings... great stuff. Love how the band is evolving.
Jason fucking killed it as the lead guitarist on this !!
WOW. Daaaamn.. Now that is how you use a couple of Gibsons. Bravo boys.
Thank you guys, and thank you Georgia.
Love ya, Jimbo.
Hoped for a live version and dies not disappoint!! Chad Gamble and Jimbo be da bomb.
It's funny you say that because usually they have no balls. Jason and Sadler destroy but with wimpy backing.
Damn. So good!
Very Nice!!
SG + LP = Rock n roll
Jason Isbell...Georgia's best kept secret.. I remember him back from The Drive by Trucker days
He's from Alabama
Those Magnatone amps deliver 😋
Great tune!
Kevin Kinney is loving this. These dudes know how to play southern rock.
Tell me there's a full concert vid coming !
DnC!!! Love it!!
Já estou no aguardo … Brasil aqui !!!!
These guitar sounds sweet Jesus
Upchurch sent us here
400 Unit, best American band today. I hope this band is together forever.
Love me some Drivin’ N Cryin
Way to kick it.C yall in Atlanta next month with the most amazing Morgan Wade..
Can't wait for that show!
Damn that was good, and Sadler singing, yeah
Brilliant…that is all
Dude You nailed the Warner Hodge part in the first chorus.
Some nasty guitar work! Plus amazing audio quality!
Damn these guys can play
I think you finally beat the video of Godamn Lonely Love at Workplay 2012 with this one.
Please add to the set list for Milwaukee this summer!
Good to see Dadler on the foreground.
Love this so much!
Really wish they'd release this concert on video.
Jason's got a classic guitargasm face.
Sadler Vaden is Rock Star. Band gives the room to move.
DAMN
Can’t love this enough!!!!
Amaze-balls!!! 🤘🎸
Purchased this album not only because I love Jason & 400's music, but love what they stand for. Hope to see y'all again in Austin; even better if it's for Beto's inauguration.
Um...ok...
Highlight of the show in Madison. Vaden rocked a Firebird instead of a Les Paul. Blew the roof off!
Isn't a firebird a Les Paul correct me if I'm wrong
@@jumpyonthehill nope, both are Gibsons, but they are 2 totally different guitars. This link shows him playing the same song with the Firebird in their show right before they played in Madison. ruclips.net/video/qKepCatnz_k/видео.html
Absolutely awesome! Love this song!
Jason Isabella 😂
Damnit Boy !! Sadler Vaden !!
Good. God.
How can you possibly thumb this down???
With my index finger
@@shawnparismusic607 imagine letting your political views control every aspect of your life. As if any of those fucks actually care about you
I had no idea Sadler was such a badass!
With the name Sadler Vaden he either had to be a lead guitarist or a super villain. Glad he chose the high road.
just damn
Nobody will ever sing that song like Kevin Kinney. Great guitar work though. 👍
Guy ain't no slouch tho. Think Jason could do it better tho
Brillant......from Leipzig, Germany.
Holy Fuck when that Les Paul kicks in!!!
Damn, that is fine.
Holy hell! I love this song, always have, and I think Isbell might’ve done Honeysuckle Blue better than Drivin’ N’ Cryin’. Wow!!
Sounds pretty good.. ya...not bad!
Listen to them f*cking guitars!
Sadler Vaden and the 400 unit 🤣🤣👍👍
Sound umbrella anyone?
nice solo man :)
👏🎶💕
🔥🤠💜
Sadler Vaden fucking rules!
Spicy fuckin' solos.
Isbell, you are a standup dude , Dude.
Whos that first vocalist..snazzy.?
Did they switch guitars? Doesn’t Sadler play the sg?
Rhec!
Right fuckin' on, fellas.
Wasn’t there a Drivin-N-Cryin song by the same name?
Same song. This is from the upcoming "Georgia Blue" album of covers by Georgia artists. Sadler was in DNC just prior to joining the 400 Unit.
@@jamieeadsdrummer awesome, great band. I went out to the garage to rummage through my CDs after seeing the post. Hopefully catch you guys in Wilkes Barre next January
Saw Drivin n Cryin perform this song live dozens of times in the 90’s. Looking forward to this version
This is a cover of the DnC song
@@Blindsquirrel74
I saw them a lot in 90s too. I also saw them a few times between 2013-2016 when I was living in Memphis. They were as good then as they always have been.
Copied straight from wikipedia...
"Isbell has discussed getting sober extensively, saying he drank Jack Daniel's and did cocaine during his time with Drive-By Truckers in his late 20s-a time he does not remember very clearly. , Isbell's 2013 solo album, is reflective of his newfound sober lifestyle.
Better than the original. Sadler should be Gladler. He is kicking ass.
Great cover yes. Better than DnC, ah no. It's all good, just this old DnC's fan opinion.
Has Jason ever smiled? Ever? Anybody?
Where is the bass?
Is this Sadler's tune - really nice stuff!
No. Kevn Kinney's song from drivin' n' cryin'
As mentioned below, it is a Kevn Kinney (Drivin'-n-Cryin') song, but Sadler toured with DnC as their lead guitarist for some time before joining the 400 Unit.
Where you been living under a rock
Sadler bringing The Who full tilt
Color Me In
Yeah they’re ‘road hot’, aren’t they?
