Thank you for the post. As someone who just put down a deposit on a DCT I was hoping for more of a walkthrough of the process. Hope to see some more stuff posted from you in the future.
@@BenjaminSturm I think it will be good to get different opinion but here is mine... I have no issue with how it shifts at all. It’s the wife’s bike and I just talked to here and she has no issues with how it shifts, she is getting used to the cruise control. You can also use the DCT in manual mode and control how it shifts.
My son bought his 2023 1100 DCT 10 days ago (I co-signed) and he drove it 9 of those days- just back and forth to work (13 miles round trip). Tonight he got a "change oil" light. You might want to think twice about buying this year's model.
I changed my at 600 mi. All went well. I fill using the dipstick. Couldn't find anywhere telling the amount required. I used a little over 4 quarts to just touch the full mark.

Might be a dumb question but was the first thing you showed and said they are yellow when they are new was that the clutch filter? The manual says to change it at 600 miles and I’ve never done anything like that before normally just air filters, oil, and coolant
It’s easy you need the filter and the oring for the cover to the filter. There is a little spring under the cover holding the filter in. So with the DCT you need 2 filter and the oring and a little over 4 qts of oil
The part number I ordered is a Honda part 15410-MF-D02 oil filter I’m sure there are a few others that would work but that the one I purchased. The trans filter is15412-MGS-D21

@@ripkej77 Thanks joined it just now waiting on approval. Looking for some answers on the DCT when turning.
@@BenjaminSturm turning ? I personally had no issue with the DCT but my wife is a new rider and has gone wide from a stop.
@@ripkej77 I know the DCT will shift when turning depending on throttle pull but I keep hearing it's not noticeable.

The local honda dealer said to go with oil filter XL-22A but I'm seeing 1100 owners using XL-10A. Is the 22A ok to use or should I return it?
