@@winterfrost99 Hahahaaaaa!! I knew someone would react like that! Anything with melody is disgusting for you 😂😂. That's the beauty of being human: everyone has different tastes! And btw: I do like heavier stuff aswell like: Slayer, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest etc. But it depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes it's nice to relax your ears to melodic rock. Anyway keep on rockin'! Cheers!
Carnal Leftovers was the perfect dessert. Nice to see all these riffs land just as hard as the first time after this time. And suberbly played, too! First Deicide one is legendary, too.
For me i always prefered Deicide over Morbid Angel because of the overall production of the albums, Death is also my favorite. I know im gonna get heat but Morbid Angel was always the lesser of the big 4 for me, and this coming from someone who went to a Morbid Angel concert.
And Hedlund who created Unleashed later was on bass in Entombed demos. I reccomend you 1990 Left Hand Path, 1991 Clandestine and 1993 Wolverine Blues, that albums where their producer Skogsberg created that "bzzzzzzz" death metal sound typical for nordic death school
I love your performance of Cannibal, I love watching the change in expression when you are getting into one of the heaviest death metal tracks of all time.
Fantastic job! As much as I love Swedish Death Metal it's hard to compete with Chuck and Trey, they are transcendent. Also I'd replaced Entombed with Vomitory any day. And Unleashed with Edge Of Sanity.
American riffs is lower and cleaner but I like it, Swedens is more dirty but love them too. I guess one perhaps have to go to the more experimental or progressive bands like Humanity’s last breath, Vildhjärta or Meshuggah to get those low tones?
it's not that i disagree with the Swedish choice of bands but i can see clearly at the gates there in the corner all alone, sad and neglected. why don't you do a Lindberg special, anything the dude touches is gold, including the crust/punk/hc/industrial stuff.

I’m actually cool with the idea with a death metal big 4, especially seeing how there’s so many different scenes and styles across the world, but I’d personally change it from being like the grunge or thrash big 4’s where it’s a concrete list of the same 4 bands to being more subjective, like “Yeah, that’s MY big 4”, and then we’d get all of these interesting results from different people, and we’d also get a lot more of “Where’s MY favorite band?”, so it just gets chaotic

Great job as always., who ever is thumbing these videos down? Seriously get a life ya loser. Absolutely no reason to thumb these vids down. Very well done. An lot of time an effort gone into making them riffs spot on. 🔥🔥
Thanks a lot James !!
These battles are what made this my favorite channel, The tone of TheSuffocater is brutal and the songs are spot on, it doesn't get better than this, This dude is a shredder! Damn nice work and thanks for putting this out here!
Thanks for the kind words !
Killer job! I love playing "Guess the Song" with these.
Great riffing! All the goodies of my youth. Hails from Denmark.
Greets from germany !
Boss HM2 ALL THE THINGS!!!!
been silently watching all of your videos for a few years. Stellar guitar skills
Thanks a lot !
The late Chuck Schuldiner made our DEATH METAL happen once again all of your performance on all accounts is brutal and true
Good to see Grave in there, always felt those guys left out of discussions, great band, and nice fellows to boot.
If Burton C Bell and James May have a baby together.
Amazing riffage!
yeah, that was awesome. I remember the first CD I owned was Morbid Angel: Altars of Madness in 1990. I think it had only been released the year before.
GRAVE!!! \m/ Def my fav Swedish DM Band
All the band I grew up with! Thanks for the great video!
Now do: Dokken, Mötley Crue, Skid Row and Guns N' Roses
Vs:
Europe, Hammerfall, Yngie Malmsteen and Candlemass 😁😁
🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮
@@winterfrost99 Hahahaaaaa!!
I knew someone would react like that! Anything with melody is disgusting for you 😂😂.
That's the beauty of being human: everyone has different tastes!
And btw: I do like heavier stuff aswell like: Slayer, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest etc.
But it depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes it's nice to relax your ears to melodic rock.
Anyway keep on rockin'!
Cheers!
Yeah but Candlemass are doom gods...I’ll have me some Demon’s Gate
@@mrmaxaxl Maybe his reaction was only related to Dokken.
Would make sense. That's what rancid kitchy camp cunts cause. 😂
Nice to see so much Grave and Unleashed 🤘🏻🤘🏻
When it comes to Death Metal, the U.S is king imo. All good bands tho.
Florida in particular
Carnal Leftovers was the perfect dessert. Nice to see all these riffs land just as hard as the first time after this time. And suberbly played, too! First Deicide one is legendary, too.
Thanks mate !!
Is it Pat O'brien's signature B.C Rich?
It´s a Kerry King signature, just gave it a new colour !!
@@TheSuffocater is there a floyd rose on it?
The best youtuber out there. Because I've never heard him talking!
Deicide is my absolute favourite. Lunatic of Gods creation is one of the most evil riffs ever
Legendary fuckin song!
For me i always prefered Deicide over Morbid Angel because of the overall production of the albums, Death is also my favorite. I know im gonna get heat but Morbid Angel was always the lesser of the big 4 for me, and this coming from someone who went to a Morbid Angel concert.
All the tunes are sick, but Deicide is so wicked! Thanks!
Damn, had never heard of Entombed before. Every riff from them was bad ass, I gotta check them out!
Kek they are basics of swedish 90s death metal. Early albums were bomb and kickass
American Big 4 all the way! Chuck and Trey are gods od Death Metal.
🔥
Also I can hear your mixing keeps getting and better. Great job Bro!
Death metal forever!👍
I love your performance of Cannibal, I love watching the change in expression when you are getting into one of the heaviest death metal tracks of all time.
Death is a completely different league when it comes to composition, catchiness, melody and everything else.
Fanboy.
@@vonbl3 antifan lol
It's not about being in a different league, it was Chuck's style. The majority of top early death metal bands had their own distinct style.
The real winners here are the fans
Fantastic job! As much as I love Swedish Death Metal it's hard to compete with Chuck and Trey, they are transcendent. Also I'd replaced Entombed with Vomitory any day. And Unleashed with Edge Of Sanity.
I think big four refers to certain bands and not his favourites. I hadn't heard of the american big four but I knew the swedish one.
Well Death is still on the top in every best Death metal bands list even though their last record was in 1998.
That shows how great they are
Fk left hand path shit
@@Terrierized I never could grasp what's so special about Entombed.
Shoutout for EoS!!
This was cool to see. Just a guy having fun with good songs and not taking it super seriously.
Morbid Angel 🤘
That Morbid Angel Suffocation riff is awesome
That Jackson Flying V is a thing of pure beauty
American riffs is lower and cleaner but I like it, Swedens is more dirty but love them too. I guess one perhaps have to go to the more experimental or progressive bands like Humanity’s last breath, Vildhjärta or Meshuggah to get those low tones?
Swedish death metal and No Hypocrisy?😮😮😮
That's the big four of swedish death metal
@@galosniper7010 That dipends who you ask, i would chose Hypocrisy before Grave 😁
Edge of Sanity is underrated too!
@@ShapeshifteR-TheAnomalyGameCat I agree 👍
That Pat O'brien BC Rich is sick. I need one.
Yeah man it's a great design, I need one too..
Old swedish death metal arghhhhh
Infecting the crypts needs some love too but great picks!
My american big 4 : death , massacre ,deicide, suffocation
My swedish big 4 : Dismember , at the gates , desultory, bloodbath
I saw the thumbnail and came here to rant, but then I read the description, and everything is fine now. Aweseome riffage man!!!
Thanks man !
Suffocation still the kings tho
+ Immolation and Incantation
Definitely one of the top extreme metal guitar channels on YT. Excellent work!
it's not that i disagree with the Swedish choice of bands but i can see clearly at the gates there in the corner all alone, sad and neglected. why don't you do a Lindberg special, anything the dude touches is gold, including the crust/punk/hc/industrial stuff.
At The Gates is part of the gotemburg trio with In Flames and Dark Tranquility
death was a total different breed of death metal, RIP Chuck
Sweden loves the snare on the back beat, punkier sounding chord progressions, dirtier grooves...
it shows how close early dm was to the hardcore scene back then.
Absolutely brilliant! Apart from Grave and Dismember - I can proudly say that I've seen all the other bands live. Great times 🤘🏽
Satan Spawn, the Suffo-cater
Cannibal corpse riffs are just awesome. Jack Owens and pat O’Brien are forever my all time favorites. Can’t beat.
His riffs set the fire off too. Plus the bleeding is perfect.
The American side sounds like they all derived from Slayer
because they do
The swedes all sound like they derived from venom, hell hammer, and bathory.
North Americans * U.S are not America for complete.
American death metal is pretty much just Slayer and Possessed with growling.
European death metal is Kreator and Bolt Thrower with growling.
@@jackclayton5620dog... Slayer is derived from Venom.... all extreme metal is derived from Venom
Man I love all your guitar tones.
Thanks mate !!
Every band considered, Sweden takes this one in my opinion. The Swedish death metal sound is just so heavy and crunchy, BUT Death is still the best
Excelent! Gretting from Córdoba, Argentina! Death Metal Madness!
