No words. Just links.
@@birdytiger ... but the link says it all mate ;), greets from germany !
The black metal era of Ulver was so great
Thank you very much for mentioning us amongst many great artists! It's an honor!
Heergott of MAGOTH
Holy shit!!!👊
My pleasure ! Thanks for the great music !
What started off as angry and scary has blossomed into something beautiful and spiritual. I love black metal so much!
Agreed. It's a very thoughtful and deep genre
🤘😁👍
Same
It actually went as everything else, except for a few bands. It's just music.
Should have stayed angry, now it’s all emotional like females
Great pick for Immortal. That whole album is a masterpiece.
Agreed. Although I feel like their first album should be on there too. Diabolical Full Moon Mysticism came out before Darkthrone's A Blaze in the Northern Sky and should be noted as the first true bm album to come out of Norway.
I'm so glad Dawn is in the list. That whole album is so full of dark and melancholic energy. Thank you!
Greetings from Brazil! Happy for seeing Sarcófago mentioned. Excellent compilation!
Sarcofago & sepultura are best of the best, fathers of death/black metal
@@kiborgsamogon Completely agree!
Big yeah!!!
for me "The Somberlain" has a story of its own and that song can' t be labeled, it's just a masterpiece.
You played it perfectly with a great sound, i love that sound !
5:07 is not "Solarfall" but "Withstand the Fall of Time".
doesn't sound anything like the song anyway, so who cares
@@olegdepapa You care
I didn't think I'd see Caladan Brood on this list, but I'm very happy you put them here. They're great
Respect for the Dawn inclusion.
Love seeing Ulver getting mentioned. Love that album.
venom - black metal is the album that got me into black metal great album.
So glad Minenwerfer made it in! I love that band and I wish more people knew about them.
I agree, that album is just amazing.
Yeah the unknown Minenwerfer haha
Such an amazing band. Would love to see them live, but I don’t know if that will ever happen.
Sarcofago mentioned!!!
Long live Black Metal !!!
@vomitedcat Black Metal is dead! Long live Black Metal! ImI
SARCOFAGO!! great to see Brazil's recognition to metal!
You came a bit late, that was done years ago.
He missed opportunity with early Sepultura
So good to see Batushka getting a mention.
The real batushka as well!
LOL. Really? I couldn't give a...
That album litourgiya is PEAK
As a Pole, got used to Mgła and Batushka(even Evilfeast to some extent) being appreciated internationally, but seeing Odraza in here as well, really warmed my heart
Sadly no Furia
@@noc8218 Something like Zamawinie drugie would've been great.
Bathory "Hades" это первая песня которую я услышал в этом жанре. Сказать, что я охренел, это ничего не сказать, и я сразу влюбился в этот жанр.
Slava ukraini
Ulver's I Troldskog Faren Vild is always my favorite of their black metal songs.
Had they continued in the direction of Bergtatt and Nattens Madrigal, they’d probably be my favourite band.
Jizz...very interesting selection, with many underestimated bands...huge work as always...This is hell of a journey in time!
jizz!?
Jizz?
"Jizz" what??? 😂
That...Caladan Brood part...that Echoes of Battle remains the only BM record to make me properly cry.
I'd never heard of them until now, I'm going to order that album right now.
If you liked Caladan Brood, check out his other band, Gallowbraid.
It is my favorite black metal record of all time.
Long live epic black metal
Check Eldamar
Man I remember watching this dude when his hair was still short 🤘 Absolute legend
Exquisite selection of songs and bands i must say
Listening to Quorthon's punchy, brilliant riff on a modern, clearly distinguishable guitar is an indescribable pleasure!
Can't imagine the amount of work, editing and hours you put into this one. Masterpiece, thank you for this.🤘🎶
You are like my teacher when it comes to Metal, it is incredible to see how the genre has advanced through the decades proving that it is immortal.
I'm going to continue listening to Black Metal because it is what I like to listen to.
Great selection. Dawn - "Slaughtersun..." is one of my favorite albums of the 90's regardless of genre. I always thought Virus West was massively underrated.
Nice. I was hoping to see Xasthur on here
Respect for including Fluisteraars and Odraza! Two amazing bands
Maestro, excelente toque y linea del tiempo, gusto en verte y seguirte, saludos desde Colombia.
nailed it with the song selection! thanks for making this
Alter Schwede! Deine zerfetzen ist Hammer! For those who don't know, Nagelfar is essential and thier album 'Hünengrab im Herbst' is one of the greatest Black Metal Albums of all time.
Hell yeah! I loved your performance of Ritual!
I also loved the Armagedda cover
Odraza - never heard of them, the riff you played was intriguing. Thanks for a great tip there.
Awesome. Some of those transitions were hella smooth. Love your videos.
Ulver is just something else... you can hear it here, against this background
Massive respect for featuring Odraza, one of my favourite bands lately, hope a new album is on the way. Also great video as always.
So many classics, impossible to be complete but I would have liked to see the black legions with Mutiilation or Deathspell Omega.
Thank you for this trip.
Some really great choices, awesome as always 🤘
The pieces you picked for the 93-98 era are perfect.
- The Somberlain, (one of) the greatest BM melodies ever written,
- Inno a Satana, one of the most acclaimed songs in BM history,
- Whichever piece from Bergtatt, arguably (to me) the best BM album ever,
- Jesus Dod, with the best riff from one of the most acclaimed albums in BM history
- Funeral Procession has always defined BM to me. This is what happens when the basics of BM are perfectly executed.
- Ride the Wings of Pestilence, from Slaughtersun, one of the most overlooked albums in BM history. A collection of some of the best melodic riffs ever written.
Interesting to hear the post-2010 stuff! I tend to cling to the old bands and albums that I've known since the early 00s.
Nice work, loved it my friend. U captured it perfectly.
Quite a nice selection, one big issue is that you're totally missing on Orthodox Black Metal, with Deathspell Omega, Funeral Mist, Blut Aus Nord, Antaeus, Watain...
The artwork on black metal albums is amazing
This was absolutely amazing!
Missing some Ancient and Enslaved, IMHO. You rock, dude!
What an exquisite selection and most amazing presentation, loving it!!
All good, and well done sir! Some obvious notable bands were missing though, no Rotting Christ, no Dimmu Borgir, no Marduk?!?
No Windir.
This list is so much better without any Dimmu Borgir.
And you named 3 bands, but you can name many more which are missing, but one band, one year. I think one could do 3 different history of black metal compilation and still would be some missing pieces.
@@GAM3R3DStormblast is a masterpiece, dont say that
Amazing video, I can't imagine the time it took you to prepare it and then record it, great job ! Thank you making me discover so many great bands in this video (and your previous ones) ^^
DUDE THANK YOU FOR YOU PASSION AND WORK
Great job as usual!
Glad to see some of Virus West on here, masterpiece of an Album.
Great work! Would love me a Spotify playlist though. Cheers!
Quiet delicious compilation, Sir!
Good video, buddy! Love it and BM too!
Badass video brother!
Amazing work.Congrats!
Great recopilation!!
Awesome, as always. Hair is looking fabulous. Keep on keepin' on.
I've learned so much from this channel... THANK YOU! 🤘🏾
Surprised Marduk and Revenge weren't on here. Meh cant play em all!
This also list is really VERY well picked! I love it.
Huge respect, thanks a lot for your hard work
Very surprised when I see the brazilian band Sarcofago in this playlist. Cool!
It's amazing to see how in the early years it basically all sounded like thrash metal but then started gradually evolving BM tropes in the sound
Thanks for includind Fluisteraars in your video. It's one of my favourite.
Love this. Some great choices, and some surprising omissions.
Great List! And interesting choices!
Would have been controversial but 2005 could easily have been Antestor’s The Forsaken. Such a splendid album.
Love this! My favorites here: Caladan Brood, Taake, Horna and Blackbraid.
What a great video! Cheers!
I'd never heard of Onslaught before, thanks for putting me onto them, amazing stuff. 🤘
hell yeah awesome video❤
Such incredible selections perfectly executed
Great performance and great musical journey! For some reason BM always makes me think of HP Lovecraft's universe. It fits the mood. 🖤
I advise you to listen The Great Old Ones band, this will be next level of Lovecraftish vibes for you;)
Sulphur Aeon is another great lovecraftian black metal band
@@gombka1144 Thanks, will check it out!
@@Amfiray Thanks, will do!
@Tiisiphone Of course! Tolkien and Satan should not be the only inspirational sources of BM.
Hell yeah 🤘 one of my favorite genres 🤘👹💥 great vid👍
Amazing. Thank you!
Вы мне мне дали вспомнить что я хотел на днях послушать Obsessed by Cruelty а также Deathcrush , подборка отличная отражающая всю историю зловещего и мрачного жанра метла
Thanx, that was amazing!! Found a couple of new must checkouts too and for that, I thank you
Great Vid !
My dear friend!
Thank you for reminding me of the Hungarian band Tormentor.
Fantastic video 🙏
I actually saw BlackBraid in concert a while back when they opened for Wolves in the Throne Room.
Спасибо огромное надобавлял себе треков в плей лист, ну что то слышал уже. Спасибо за проделаную работу!
This is awesome!
Again very tasteful selection.
Very nice songs you picked!
Really appreciate the Fluisteraars riff. Marvelous playing!
Hey Farvann , cool das du mein Video kommentierst :) !! Auf Fluisteraars bin ich durch eins deiner Videos gekommen. Gruß
Nice song selections.
excelente trabajamos amigo😮🤘
Loved the Armagedda and Taake riffs 🤘🏻🔥🔥
Great selection RiffMaster! Personally I missed Master’s Hammer, Thorns, Vinterland, Satyricon, Satanic Warmaster, The Ruins of Beverast, Departure Chandelier and Aara, but I loved to see Spectral Wound there. Great job!
Bilskirnir too
@@willnixon1583 good call
german nagelfar and dawn???? ok u got my respect.
What a workout my friend amaziing work, so many things happen from decades of black metal, great video keep it up from a like you headbanger for about 35 years listening long live metal!
YES!! Please cover history of other genres as well!
Thanks for including Fluisteraars!! So underrated
New band for me!
I was shocked to see their music included quite honestly.
And yet, no Summoning 😢
Until 1990 it did not differ much from death metal, it was only until 1991 that it began to have its own sound.
I'm with you
Some of later Bathory, and Master's Hammer had more atmosphere than the typical metal then.
Great work! But that strange not to hear here Satyricon and Marduk
Fucking great video brother. Awesome journey through the years and very well put together and recorded. Hats off 🤘🤘🤘
