Another way to control your left thumbstick is constantly pushing the stick towards where you want the car to go. I always press the stick forward on the straights and then roll the thumbstick left and right. It takes away the sudden movements of your finger.
I really appreciate this video! I just got the new Xbox Series S and F1 22, after playing F1 21 I was shocked by the traction, slipping and spinning out almost every corner. This is going to help a ton!
Thanks for the video I am a controller driver as well also without assists and I think this must be the hardest way to play the game, one thing I find is that the controller doesn’t offer much in the way of rotation compared to when I see players on you tube with steering wheels.
You are absolutely right, so what i do to act as if im a wheel driver is this… THIS MAY BE HARD FOR MOST PPL but i tilt my stick at an angle and pay attention to how much grip i get, automatic i already knew these r f1 cars meanin they have abnormal grib, so just a tilt of the stick, the car is going to MOVE with that simple angle of the stick
Such a good video. Just got my F1 22 yesterday. Have you modified the throttle response at all or do you just as you explained use ur finger to apply the throttle?
my problem is after turning, the steering wheel transition from turn to straight response is so slow. so i cant get a good exit on a cintroller, any advice?
I deos this F1 2023 game deos if not have like tips video were show you were to look for breaking markers because when I play this game I all wys watch that tips video helps a lot
For a long braking zone, brake full 100% and let go off the brakes slowly before turning in the corner. Don't stay on 100% brakes for to long and dont brake too hard while you are turning. That causes lockups
yeah I treat it like a thumbsteering wheel. I which developers would realize that and adjust the controller settings for that purpose by fine tunning it like a steering wheel. Usually the forward position feels like an actual movement and you have to use the calibration to adjust that subtle movement. For example, the forward position should be sensed by the game and do nothing, at that point only degrees of movement along the forward most position should be considered, and adjust the setting based on degrees and not sensitivity from the center position.
Used to play F1 all the time. F1 22 is trash for the controller players. Just left the game altogether. Good luck Codemasters for screwing your largest player base.
very niCe!!! but still ... if u spin or even just lose some traction out of a corner, theres just no way u can stable the car without losing seconds ... i play with a Controller myself, but lets be srs ... aim for a wheel, thats the real thing tho :) .... still niCe Content, keep it up!

@@kennymaze27 i do that too
you get the max angle if your slow enough and the Corner needs that much of an angle otherwise ti doesn't happen
@@kennymaze27 I thought I was the only one to do that, this definitely proves that we all have the same life 😭
@@kennymaze27 I did not understand. Can you explain more please?
Thank u for making this video! Lots of great tips.
Glad it was helpful! 👍
Thanks man awesome tips bro bro !
if you have default settings you probalby have set 360 degrees. You should try using 270 as it give you faster stering feedback
How do you change that? I’m currently trying to race at Jeddah at a difficulty that I should have no problem handling and can’t seem to make pace.
@@cameronrice406 Controller settings and calibration I think
Ahoy my fellow controller player! Thank you for the tips! They're super helpful 😎
I either always end up putting too little or too much throttle on exits it’s a pain
Use your middle finger as your throttle. It’s much more precise for some rather than your index
@@f_latbread I’ll try that thanks
Try lowering your on throttle diff to 55-60

I keep the default settings. If you want, adjusting throttle and steering configurations is also worth it. I've seen other controller players do it 👍
@@Suh Thanks for answering ^^
Great video, thank you 😊
Very useful information. We've earned a sub
Very good video, it helped me a lot, thank you!

Thanks for the tips
I knew something was up when I tried manual gears on controller the tires definitely fade away faster I notice.

is the controller harder than the keyboard? i’m being cheap so i might controller before i go wheel

How do you not lock the brakes
For a long braking zone, brake full 100% and let go off the brakes slowly before turning in the corner. Don't stay on 100% brakes for to long and dont brake too hard while you are turning. That causes lockups
Great video! But I find it easier to hold the stick forward and then slowly move left and right
Whatever works for you! I find it distracting, so I don't do that, but if it helps you shave a thousandths or more off, why not? 👍
