"You're semi evil, you're quasi evil, You're the diet coke of evil. Just 1 calorie, not evil enough!" To this day I still quote that line whenever I can
“What are you some kind of freak?”
LOL
Summer 1999. I’d finish my shift waiting tables at night and go back to see this movie many times with friends and we’d laugh our asses off. Then we all started quoting the lines. Great sequel!
Yep, I got this DVD my freshman year of high school and watched it many times with my friends and had some great laughs 😃
Was marijuana involved?
@@deesavage5198 yes, I had just started smoking 🤣
Just want to say that I deal with depression, anxiety, and social isolation. Your videos provide some much needed entertainment and make me feel as though I'm watching these movies with friends.
stay strong brother
I really do feel you. After losing my immune system, I ended up losing all of my “friends”. I have pretty much became a bubble boy. I once loved watching movies with my friends. I used to miss that. I am so greatful that that’s no longer the case.
@@jrobwoo688
Get better soon, Bro. 👊
Best riffing in mystery science theater 3000 it's a tv show fugitive alien manos hands of fate final sacrifice pod people santa claus mitchell santa claus conquers the Martians teenagers from outer space monster a go go I really need to go on😊
Going through exact same man, and these boys are great. They’re replicas of the type of guys I hung with in highschool. Best days ever. Thanks boys and friends who watch. What a great gang.
RIP Verne Troyer.
The introduction/debut of the legendary “mini me”
Best one of the trilogy
Mini-Me and Fat Bastard were just the most incredible character additions.
RIP Verne Troyer
Gotta love him even though he is a Fat Bastard his voice sounds just like Shrek.
All three Austin Powers movies are well worth watching so long as you enjoyed the first one. glad you decided to watch the second one. Thanks for the reaction video.
Fan fact: The blonde model who show's up at the beginning is Rebecca Romjin, whose plays Mystique in the original X-Men trilogy (2000, 2003 and 2006).
And she IS playing herself as that's how she introduced herself in the film.
She used to be married to John Stamos, so most people remember her as Rebecca Romijn-Stamos.
This is my favorite of the Austin Powers movies. I love that they brought Heather Graham into it. I used to watch Springer all the time back in the day too with my brother. It' great day time television. Yes that was Tim Robins.
Easily one of the greatest trilogies EVER.
I truly love all 3. And I believe they get funnier as they continue. Great reaction as always bros.
Same as rush hour they are funny
@@dapaintbrush6965
I thought the 3rd Rush Hour was really bad.
@@jean-mi1825 fair enough mate
@@dapaintbrush6965
I just realised how entitled my comment might sound... sorry for that.
Didn't want to sound like you were wrong to love it 🖖🏻👍🏻
@@jean-mi1825 naaa all good
7:31 - The actress who played Ivana went on to really rise to fame with the show 3rd Rock from the Sun. I highly recommend reacting to it, the show also features John Lithgow, a young Joseph Gordon Levitt, and French Stewart. Funniest show I’ve ever watched 😂
That’s right. Kristen Johnston aka Sally Solomon who also played Wilma in The Flintstones sequel Viva Rock Vegas circa 2000.
And Jane Curtain!!!
You can see Joseph really had talent back then -- he went on to be solid! Love that guy.
Didn't 3rd Rock start in 96? This move is 99
@@cobbsta88 I don’t remember the exact year, I just know this was the same actress lol
Austin had it all! Elizabeth Hurley, Heather Graham and Beyonce, yea baby!
Ohh…behave.😂
I always like the fact the Number 2 from 1969 is Rob Lowe but retains Robert Wagners voice. Its pretty neat.
Also RIP Tom Sizemore, 1961-2023. He passed away due to a Brain aneurysm on March 3. He was 61.
I have a core memory of my dad laughing so hard he was crying for the 3rd movie
Love your guys' reactions as always, been waiting for this one! Couple of important things to mention for context:
1. All the Star Wars references are because this released alongside The Phantom Menace, the first Star Wars movie in nearly 20 years! And Austin Powers 2 eventually knocked Episode 1 off number 1 at the box office!
2. Vanessa being written out is a reference many don't get - it's to the fact every James Bond movie has a different female character every time, with no explanation as to what happened to the last one. Austin Powers 3 won't even bother with the explanation!
Yeah, it's painfully clear that most of this is literally a mockery of James Bond, but it's done in a very sweet, harmless way -- and actually makes this great in its own right. It's a bit like how Scary Movie is literally better than Scream (though Scream 1-3 are okay and pretty funny social commentary in their own right, though I personally don't highly rate them and think it's a bit too post-modernist nonsense. It's the same reason why Elm Street are actually bad horror movies: they tried to make a strong female hero, and it just became a slasher with zero tension/fear in terms of the victims and the killer/Freddy, so their 'fight scenes' are just cringey. Thankfully, I actually think New Nightmare is good, though also meta. Elm Street 1 and 3 are also good. The rest are bad, I think, though it at least has some story and symbolism. By Scream 4, though, it just became silly. Kinda interested to see what they do with Scream 6 given that it's now meta-meta-meta in the real world...
there was in fact one James Bond movie where he gets married but she ends up being killed in the beginning of the very next movie.
@@Shiirow actually she dies at the end of the same movie. Its On Her Majesties Secret Service.
This movie is a masterpiece. Hands down ❤
Facts seen it twice still held up
Johnson!
This movie is my favorite. Wait till you see Goldmember. Mike Myers is so great doing multiple characters with CGI. RIP Verne Troyer
😂😂😂😂 all of them was great movies and glad I got to experience them as a kid at the movies. I can't wait to see yall react to the 3rd one goldmember. It was so good and funny too. ❤
Still have goldmember on VHS!
And I'm never giving it away!
Hard to believe that it's over 20 years old!
These movies helped form my broken sense of humor 😂 Glad to see you guys reacting to them!
Can't wait for the 3rd one!!!!! U guys have such contagious laughs
Chris' face when he saw the people walking up to the tent and seeing the shadows lmfaoooo
I remember dragging my Mom to this...she was horrified! I was dying with laughter alongside my brother - good times!
Blockbuster Video had a promotional thing where they gave out a stuffed Mr. Bigglesworth that said random quotes from the movie. My dog took off with it, we'd be sitting there, and it would say "we don't gnaw on our kitty!"
The Jerry Springer bit might be the hardest I've ever laughed in a movie theater.
Can't wait for you guys to see Goldmember!
I think Vanessa's actress was supposed to reprise her role much longer, but then, along came other projects
26:40 I never realized Jennifer Coolidge was in this movie 😂😂😂
4:50 The name of the song is Soul Bossa Nova. Written by the legendary Quincy Jones in 1962 😎
A few cameos to address
the guy watching the jerry springer show at the beginning, is Michael Macdonald, who was a regular on MadTV
he also plays the guard from the first Austin powers film who keeps yelling and refuses to move until he’s crushed by the steamroller they’re driving...
The henchmen who is with Robin swallows/Spits who keeps shooting her is the versatile actor Kevin Durand, who’s facial expressions are brilliant
Young number 2 is played by the talented actor, Rob Lowe
The president is played by Tim Robbins
Wasn’t Richard Nixon the President in 1969?
I’m glad to se you laughing at the silly bits.
BTW, the reason for all the Star Wars references in this movie is because it came out the same year as The Phantom Menace.
😎
the Alan Parsons Project joke flew over their heads. holy shit im old.
This was the best one in my opinion...Ready to see the Goldmember reaction!
Don't forget that rhey were able to do more, because they almost doubled the budget compared to the first one (from $16.5M to $33M... and $63M for the third one... almost blockbuster level budget for the time).
I'm surprised about how many people mike Myers actually plays in these movies
The time machine is a reference to "The Time Tunnel," a series from the 60s/70s that was a bit like Quantum Leap - the time machine there is identical to the Austin Powers one
Finally! Been waiting for this one 🤣
2 recommendations for you: My Girl (1991) - terrific Motown soundtrack and Macauley Culkin's best role. Funny, sad, everything. Amazing movie. You'll be singing the songs throughout. Also, if you're up for some awesome kids horror, Return To Oz. It has some crap your pants horror moments and it was rated PG in 1985. I love it for that. Forget kids, that movie would scare people our ages! But Austin Powers is classic 90s raunchy comedy. We're not quite at the R rated, American Pie stuff yet, but it came out within months of this, so we're just starting to see that kind of humour in mainstream movies. Canadian content!
Can't believe that Return to Oz was PG! Had nightmares as a kid from that movie :(
Return to Oz is amazing! Just rewatched ot recently.. just so cool and actually way more faithful to the books then the og movie
They uploaded it
IMO best film of the series.
You guys are great! Please don’t stop anytime soon with the reactions. Y’all are amazing!!!
One of my fav comedys ever. I remember a friend and i getting high af and laughing our asses off to this. Even tho we probably thought we were too cool for school and Austin Powers slapstick comedies but we were quoting this for the rest of the year.
25:42 they actually had a deleted scene where they’re in his pad the first time and he uses a metal detector on her when she was asleep just to be sure. And after the Scott & Frau mid credit spot, there’s actually another where Austin walks in on Felicity shagging someone else but it’s actually just Past Austin and his response, “technically it’s not cheating baby” 😂 this was my favorite Austin Powers movie and thank you guys for covering it!
I was WAITING for you guys to react to this one!!!!
These movies just keep getting better, imo. Sadly, there is only only one left. On another note, after seeing Woody Harrellson, just wanted to suggest the 1994 Natural Born Killers starring Woody Harrellson, Robert Downey Jr., Tommy Lee Jones, and the recently departed, Tom Sizemore. Based upon a script by Quentin Tarantino, reimagined for the screen by controversial filmmaker Oliver Stone. Phenomenal film.
Always entertaining reactions. Looking forward to seeing your reaction to Goldmember.
The next one goldmember is my favorite. My sisters and I grew up on these movies 😂 so many quotable lines. Love that we get the jokes more now that we’re older. 😂 still quote them randomly..
The quirkiness and goofy mind of Mike Myers never fails to entertain me 😂😂😂😂
Nice! Can't wait for Goldmember
I think these two are my favourite all male reaction team on RUclips, the energy is addictive.
One of my favs of all time, can't wait to get off work tonight and watch this with a fat bowl
THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT was a popular band in the 80s
You didn’t recognize the time machine Dr. evil was using it was from an old 60s TV show known as Time Tunnel. While on the other hand, Austin used the Time Machine like back to the future.
These reactions to Austin Powers 1 + 2 lifted my spirits hahaha
The Goldmember reaction is going to be insane! Can't wait
This movie is Gold. I’m so happy you guys DIDN’T go you whole lives without it.
Man, Heather Graham was drop dead gorgeous in this film. 😍
She sure is.
This is my favorite of the trilogy. I didn't care for the 3rd one overall, but a lot of people like it. For me, nothing could beat this movie, or it's soundtrack. Lenny Kravitz's "American Woman" is better than the original.
Brilliant reaction guys gotta love it ❤️❤️🔥🔥
1:12 ....
-Chris: "If the people want it, the people ill get it"
-Me: "I want a million bucks"
Your laughs are infectious guys! Always cheer me up!
My favorite of the 3! Scott and Mini-Me are my favorite characters in this one
Yesssssss!!! I’m so happy you did more Austin Powers!!! You definitely have to watch the 3rd one, one of the few series where every movie is just as good as the last
This is the best out of the 3 movies
That bit never gets old 😂
That looks just like an enormous...
Wang, pay attention!
There was one extra little scene during the credits if you wanted to check it out but good reaction guys! This is one of my all time favorites.
My favorite movie preview of all time. ''If you see 1 movie this summer, see Star Wars: A Phantom Menace... but if you see 2 movies this summer see Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.''
The most epic trilogy ever
Scott Evil is the literal embodiment of Gen-X.
Rob Lowe is fantastic as a young No 2. RIP Verne Troy - he is fantastic as Mini Me ❤
Yesssssss! Love the FULL SCREEN!!!!! 👍👍
I watched your reaction to the first yesterday and was hoping for this.
Awesome Work and Movie Brothers, Thaaaaanks 👍👍👍👍😀 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
The intro before the movie u guys laughing made me spit my chips everywhere. U have contagious laughs u laugh we all laugh kind of thing😂❤
I can never wait for the next reaction to come out. I would be honored if I ever got the chance to watch a movie with you guys.
Hell yeah dudes! Goldmember (the 3rd movie) is another great movie! Thanks for doing the hardest task guys 🤘
Interestingly enough they allude to Frau being Scott's mother in the first film, which mike Myers confirmed on the audio commentary track.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH THIS 🤣
Yes, that was Tim Robbins as the President. You should watch "Jacob's Ladder" with him in it. Terrifying!
Also, John Goodman was also the "One Eyed Willy" at the end.
Chris is wearing a shirt other than the tank top! Awesome. LOL
I gotta say Scotts hair looks good😂
I like that they completely missed "The Alan Parsons Project" reference.
Thanks guys, never a dull moment with you two. Great to watch along with you. 😁
One of the best sequels ever made.
South Korea had an interesting experience with this film.
The first one hadn't been released in theatres yet, only a handful of people had seen it on illegal tapes bought on the streets, titled "Incorrigible 007". So the distributer put a Madonna music video up before the film, where subtitles would explain the plot of the first film, so the audience would be caught up.
A year later, the first film was released in theatres under the name "Austin Powers Zero".
“Oh no”
Austin Powers: *pushes mute button
“Oh yeah!”
😂😂😂😂 y’all got me
Austin Powers in Goldmember is a must see as well
please watch "nothing to lose" with tim robbins & martin lawrence! its really good!
"Goldmember" has Beyonce' and Michael Caine as major characters and a bunch of great cameos!
Get ready for a shocking twist in Austin Powers: Goldmember
The intro and rocket jokes are the best parts tbh
Omg thank u soooo much for watching this… this one is soooo much funnier than the first
I remember going to the theater when this movie came out and I tell you I have never laughed so hard in my life 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✌️
12:48 ...."It's like Back to the future?"....It's more like "Time cop", if you ask me....
This austin powers movie is my favorite one. The movie is great and the soundtrack is excellent.
I like "it's just the two of us" remix. That's a great catchy song.
I *THOUGHT* I had been subscribed all this time…… I was wrong! I fixed that. You guys are great and hilarious!!!!!
This was great. Tim Robbins also makes a cameo at the end of TOP GUN. Long before he was shipped off to Shawshank
Didn't notice this comment - Mike Meyers is the actor who plays Austin Powers, Dr. Evil and Fat Bastard. He is also one of the writers of the movie as well.
I never noticed this before but I think at 26:42 we get a Jennifer Coolidge sighting. 😅
I remember seeing this movie the first time when i was in high school, on a study day we had in school in the music studies room was also the first austin powers movie i ever seen laughed my butt of watching it back then
