I quoted Austin Powers a couple weeks ago at work and not one of my coworkers had even heard of it. They're all in their early twenties. I was shocked.
What did you quote? lol
wrong crowd lol
@@JaHawkey70 my coworker was asking if McDonald's still sells pancakes at 12 and I said "you craving a smoke and a pancake? Flapjack and a cigarette? No? Maybe a pipe and a crepe?"
@@TheMahlyenkidyavol hahah classic.
every time i say "i got a crap on deck that could choke a donkey" everyone just looks at me disgusted. bunch of weirdos out there.
Glad to see Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery on your channel. I hope to see Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me as well as Goldmember coming in the next few months. Mike Myers is so funny and versatile in the many roles he plays in each movie. It's like a Where's Waldo book trying to spot him throughout the movie.
Goldmember is probably my favorite, its hilarious
I second that
I love watching the Austin Powers films 🎥 and glad to see the first on your channel and it’s still the funniest move ever.
@@johnmagnussonnylander8895 the kids playing them in school did great lol
Lets not forget he voices shrek too.
The musician that had a cameo in this movie, Burt Bacharach, just passed away about a week ago. He was a legend.
I actually saw that recently, a true shame.
@@OctoKrool hey can you guys put gloves on and watch fembot austin powers scene

The trilogy is over 20 years old!
Loved watching them as a kid!
Still have them on VHS!
Yeah Baby!
I saw the 3d one in theaters
Hard to believe it's been over 20 years
With so many people having seen this already it is nice to see people discovering it. These movies are definitely stupid and I love them for it.
In 4 years, we will be as far from 1997 as they were from 1967 back then...
Mike Myers playing Dr. Evil and Austin Powers in this movie was great. He plays many of the other characters in the sequels. 29:37
he plays a very very large role later on.
@@markmac2206 That he does.

Mike Myers was a genious when he created this. Every Austin Powers movie is phonemonal ! You're guys are the best .
This whole trilogy is great.
the one with beyonce was pretty bad, well at least beyonce was awful…satanic wench
Not really. This movie is great. The two sequels suck.
@@blacbraunsecond one did better than the first in box office numbering
but it's subjective if you looking in Artistic point of view.
I like the sequel.
The second is my favourite of the trilogy, but the first one is absolutely solid!
i saw the 2nd in theaters about 10 times.
The second will be coming :)
"Yeah, baby, yeah!"
Fun Fact: Mike Myers was inspired to write this movie after his father passed away. He had a lot of fond memories of watching '60s British spy movies with his dad as a kid, so he wrote this spoof as a tribute to the movies his dad loved so much.
Also, they don't make comedies like this anymore, I really miss those years when everyone were allowed to make movies like this without anyone getting offended.
Oh no, people were offended, it’s just that the people in charge didn’t care and there was no way for those people to voice their complaints. But we have social media now, where anyone can broadcast a message out to the entire world, that’s the difference. People were as sensitive now as they were way back when, but they just couldn’t speak out.
Streaming services killed moderate budget movies. Matt Damon did a brilliant breakdown of how and why this happened on "Hot Ones."
NOBODY should ever be off limits…we all eat the sam shit sandwich daily…joking and busting balls about race is THE funniest shit ever../me and my boys constantly would trash one another about that…I told my buddy the other day, “to try and stop all the black crime etc….we should just build moats around the hoods….not very good swimmers….”…and I always tell them when we walk buy a puddle or something like that, “be careful, I’ll push you in this puddle and it’ll be over for ya”…and they laugh their asses of….trust me I get it just as bad and theirs NEVER any malice or ill will…I\as a Scotsman bustin balls is rooted in my dna…we don’t tell family “I love you “, instead my brother gets a “HEY DICKHEAD”….with love of course, lol
@@CChissel Yep, pretty much.
Also, people are so convinced it's some new recent switch in the human condition because they were told by older generations that it was all of a sudden. Really it's all linked to the rapid and wide spread ability to express any inner thoght at any given time. You could send the same thought on several platforms back to back to back with ease and now this particular narrative is reaching more audience, thus more people find it common and connect with it more easily.
It's truly a shame that so many people can't see it. 😔
@@ivankawnartist Spot on. We haven’t changed, but the ways we engage with each other and experience the world have.
This is a classic comedy franchise
I love that Austin will Funk anything that Grooves, but he draws the line when the lady's been drinking. He ain't a douche, he's just really horny.
Hey guys, love this movie, a great Mike Myers classic, the other two movies are great as well. Fun fact: One of Mike Myers dads heroes was Sean Connery who played the original James Bond and Mike did this movie as a tribute to his dad and Sean. Also, Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan are huge fans of this movie and the series. I love the names of the villians, Alotta Fagina and Random Task, nods to Pussy Galore and Odd Job. The supporting cast is great too, Robert Wagner, Seth Green, Will Ferrel and even Tom Arnold are pretty funny. Great movie and it's one of my fav spoofs, besides the Airplane movies. Thanks for watching this great gem, so many memorable quotes, be sure to check out the whole trilogy.
The first time I watched this I rented it from Blockbuster and did a bunch of whipits. I almost laughed myself to death.
Oh god I hope your ok
It was the 90's!
It's mind-blowing to think that it's been a quarter century since this movie was released in theaters. One of best laughs I've ever had in a theater was in that opening scene when Austin and the cop look at each other, freeze, think about it, then start dancing in sync. LOVED that. I'm so glad that you picked this movie -- great reaction, gentlemen!
If you were impressed by all the random celebrities making cameos, wait until you get to "Goldmember". The opening sequence alone is like a "who's who" of A-list celebs and movie stars.
True
To truly get where the aesthetic and cheese factor is coming from with this movie, you have to be familiar with the classic (Sean Connery) James Bond movies from the 60s. If you haven’t seen them yet, might I humbly suggest checking at least one or two of them out?
I'm pretty sure that the late-60s American spy franchise Our Man Flint was a heavy influence, as well, particularly regarding the Fembots. That series is funny, intentionally or not, in its own right.
Saw this in the theater when it came out, I was 15.
I feel old as hell right now.
Every time a reviewer doesn't immediately recognize the immediately recognizable Laugh In transitions - I feel so old.
All 3 movies are great! I hope you continue with the trilogy! Now the second one definitely doubled down on the gross-out humor, but still good! I’m glad they cut it off at 3 though. Over the years everyone said “when are we gonna get a 4th one??” But I’ve always been a big believer in ‘quit while you’re ahead’ definitely don’t wanna wear it out till it’s not funny anymore!
You’ll have to continue the series, you’ll get more Seth Greene, and mini me!!!
I love goooooollld lol ( gold member)
@@JCourts2k23 the actor who played mini me died a few years ago
One if the best films ever made. Every scene is handcrafted to perfection regarding what it sets out to do and show you. Of course you gotta know a bit of 70s to 90s film culture to truly appreciate everything.
One of the funniest comedy trilogies ever made!!!!! It’s so quotable funny and rewatchable! I feel like you both are gonna enjoy The Spy Who Shagged Me & Goldmember!!!!
Also RIP Burt Bacharach 🙏🏻
FYI the theme song is called Bossa nova and Quincy Jones is the composer. Hope you do the other two movies. Love this!
And… was likely used by Mike Myers because it was the theme song to a very cheesy 1970s Canadian game show.

Mike Myers played both Austin Powers and Dr. Evil.
He plays even more charecters in the sequals! Ground breaking movie(s)
I have trouble sleeping from ptsd, but your reactions help calm me down. I’ve made your comedy reactions into a sleep playlist. I get a few hours of sleep when I listen to it. Just wanted to say thank you guys for sharing your reactions with us.
This is so lovely! Glad you're able to experience some relief.
I'm glad we could help you in some way with your PTSD man, it honestly means a lot and we'll always make sure to get some comedies in so you can enjoy some sleep!

So many great cameos in this movie! Let's not forget Elizabeth Hurley. A well-known actress during the 80s to present, and Estée Lauder spokesmodel. Also, the #2 man with the patch was played by Robert Wagner, also extremely popular during the 60s-80s and beyond, and was once married to iconic Natalie Wood, a beloved American actress of Russian and Ukrainian descent, who started her career as a child actress and eventually transitioned into a beautiful woman who starred in a handful of classic movies before her tragic death in 1981 at the age of 43. Thanks for this great reaction, guys! Your laughs are contagious! ✌💙✌
"We also have a package. We can't show it, but its very small" 1:00 🤣
Thanks for that laugh. Great reaction as always
Mike Meyers very talented actor playing two lead parts . In the next one he does three different roles. This is a just for fun movie. With all the deadly serious movies out there nice to have something where it’s all about just having a good belly laugh.
He also played mini me
The opening dance number is reminiscent of the 1960’s comedy show “Laugh In” . That show helped launch Goldie Hawn’s career.
Nothing will ever beat these comedies from the late 90's to mid 2000's, and its sad a script like this would never even be considered for a film nowadays
Now we get nothing but pure leftist commie propaganda, I mean “films” that are beyond awful…but as long as the youth stays as dumbed down as they are/brainwashed, it’ll never change sadly…I THANK GOD I was born in 1980
Tbh at its core, the humor of this movie isn't built on offensive jokes so...
@@chrisjfox8715there are plenty of “offensive” jokes, just depends who you ask.
@@mastersnet18this film would be called “woke” because even sex pest Austin Powers knows he shouldn’t take advantage of a drunk person
@@decrulez well all his other comments would negate that. And Gen Z wouldn’t consider that woke anyways, they would expect that.
Another good Mike Myers film to react to would be "So I Married an Axe Murderer"
My god, this series was the most quotable of the 90s/00s. Still think the therapy group monologue had to be the most fun to write. But, yeah, his Dr. Evil turned into a classic and probably the most iconic character of the series and up there in Meyers' resume next to Shrek.
It’s Michael Myers making fun of Lorne Michaels
Man, this movie gave us so many amazing one liners back in the 90s.
Can't wait to see you guys react to the second movie in this trilogy
Yeah Baby 🇬🇧
The sequels are also so much fun to watch!
Except the Dutch hate part 3.. for obvious reasons. lol
This movie came out the same year as Blast from the Past. Which was about a suburban family locked in a fallout shelter during the Cuban Missile Crisis for 35 years. And stared Brendon Fraser and Alicia Silverstone. The trailers and T.V spots completely left out any of the James Bond Parody. So audiences where made to believe the movie was just a British version of Blast from the Past. The movie was just called Austin Powers in all promotional material; posters, T-shirts, you name it.
Please continue the trilogy, guys! You'll love it.
I saw this posted and immediately thought "YEAH BABY!!!" 🤣
"Why be evil when you're making 9 billion dollars?"
That's deliberately the whole joke with Number 2. As Myers himself put in in the sequel commentary, "Number 2 always has this cover company, which is a much better idea in terms of money. If they just stuck with the cover company, they would be more than fine, but Dr. Evil just really wants to take over the world."
The Austin Powers trilogy is the silly innocent fun we need these days.
Haven’t seen you guys laugh this much to a movie 😂 cant wait for the next 2
20:43 I laughed SO HARD at Chris’ reaction. It happened exactly when everyone gasped 😂
The movies really hold up and the next 2 are VERY much worth seeing.
Aaaah, love these films! One of those rare occasions where each one is better than the last, I hope you do them all. 💖
There are a lot of Bond 007 references from different movies scattered throughout this film. The biggest one is the guy that throws his shoe who is dressed exactly like oddjob (a guy that throws a hat with a metal edge) - but a lot of one liners were straight-up parodies of Bond movie quotes lol
This is such a classic movie. 2 and 3 was even funnier lol great reaction guys
There had better be a follow up with the sequels lol. Glad yall enjoyed it as we all have.
THE WOMAN KING!!! That should be your next reaction. You guys will love it! One of the best and reviewed films of the year with a badass Viola Davis! Powerful action drama, trust me!
The transitions with the band (Ming Tea) between scenes is a callback to similar interstitials used in late '60s/early '70s television shows (see The Monkees, et al.)
I thought the first & second one are alright. But I love the 3rd one Goldmember. I had a headache from laughing so hard & it was only half through the movie.
This film started a several year period where Mike Meyers ruled the world, until The Love Guru finally brought it to a permanent end. He mostly does paintings now.
He had some excellent (but small) parts in Inglourious Basterds and Bohemian Rhapsody.
Hes also the voice of Shrek and played the cat in the hat
Imagine if Mike Myers played Bob Ross in the biopic.
Hope to see The Spy Who Shag Me and In Goldmember next, Austin Powers still the funniest movies.
And the other guy to the left of the General was in the DS9 episode "Past Tense pt 2" as a Dim and in Classic Star Trek as a small alien named Balok (he's also Ron Howard's brother, Clint Howard)
Clint Howard has been in a ton of movies.
Omg the second is just as funny! Please watch the second one next it’s hilarious 😂😂😂😂
The film had a bonus of having Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles in the Austin Powers Band : )
The Austin Powers theme song is called "Soul Bossa Nova" by the one and only Quincy Jones!
My favorite joke from this is Random Task parodying the awesome henchman from Goldfinger Odd Job. Throwing his shoe rather than his trade mark Bowler hat is priceless
Oh man, these movies are hilarious. I hope you guys watch the other two. I wouldn't wait too long either. Part of their charm is all the callbacks and easter eggs between the movies.
Even though it's been 20 years, I hope mike Myers gets his wish to make number 4
Can’t wait for both of you to watch the other 2 movies! It’s hilarious
They did. You didn't have to wait long.
One of my favorite elements of the movie was how RandomTask was modeled after OddJob.
It's the little things
The actor playing "Random Task" (Joseph Son) is in prison. Several years ago he was convicted of rape, and later convicted for murdering his prison cell mate.
Make sure that if you guys watch the next movie (The Spy Who Shagged Me), you watch til the end of the credits.
Such an iconic quotable trilogy! Mike Myers is a genius. The 2nd one is the best - enjoy!!! ❤
With how hard you guys are laughing, absolutely DEFINITELY watch the other two movies. I think the 2nd is the funniest, but the 3rd has some amazing jokes as well.
Yeah baby, yeah!
It will be happening :)
These movies are the rare occasion where a trilogy gets better and better.
You guys are my absolute go-to for comedy movie reactions, and this is one of the stupidest FUNNIEST movies of all time, so your reaction did NOT disappoint. THANK YOU, you got my funny off for real ❤
PS Elizabeth Hurley is incredibly hot 🔥 and you guys NEED to react to the movie Bedazzled, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!
Great trilogy
I love that you guys are watching these movies. You must watch the next ones.
U2 laughing made me laugh hard as hell. Plus I haven't seen this in at least 10+yrs. Can't wait to see u both react to the 2 sequels😂
That general was also a general in the Star Trek DS9 episode "Little Green Men" *AND* he played a Space hippy in the classic Star Trek episode "The Way to Eden"
And he was the lead singer of the Good Ole Boys in The Blues Brothers.
And he was the voice of Duke Phillips on The Critic.
Also killed in Silence of the Lambs.
The Austin Powers movies only get better and better!!!
Actor Mike Myers played both parts. Protagonist and the antagonist
So I Married An Axe Murder is one of my favorite Mike Meyers movies ❤️
These guys enthusiasm is everything
Hi - I'm British and I can confirm we do not lose our Britishness if we fix our teeth - Our love for tea makes sure they NEVER stay glow-in-the-dark-Hollywood-smile-white for long. ;-)
You guys crack me up every intro. And I’ve never related to anyone’s energy as much as you two lol
Always had a crush on Elizabeth Hurley. The earliest movie I've seen her in was Passenger 57.
FUN FACT: She was originally considered to be the Bond girl of the third Timothy Dalton James Bond movie
Random Task and Allotta Vagina are plays on Odd Job and Pussy Galore, both from the movie Goldfinger who had a lethal hat he threw.
A lot of the movie is a spoof on James Bond and "Our Man Flint" and a couple other 60's spy movies.
Awesome Movie and Work Guys, Thanks 👍👍👍😀 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
When I saw this in theaters and 97 a country group, had a song called shagging on the boulevard. It was funny hearing this at the theater beforehand because everyone knew powers used shag as a term for sex. No, the song was not intended to be about sex, but it was one of those double entendre things.
Shag is a British term. So he would use it
My family loved watching these movies when I was growing up. I would sometimes do the behind the couch movement gag and it was always funny.
Tv extended cut has a alternate version of austin and the headless guy comments. Specifically alt way he says "he'll never be the... head of a major corporation"
⭐"WHAT KIND OF TRANSITION WAS THAT?"
☀THAT WAS AN HOMAGE TO THE 60's #1 HIT TV SHOW 'LAUGH-IN', WHICH REGULARLY HAD SUCH SEGMENTS!
First time seeing this i was in tears.. the sequels are even better
The Spy Who Shagged me is a Masterpiece
Man, I can't wait for part 2
I am so happy your getting to these
I get how some people dislike your over-the-top reactions and commentary, but I personally think it's the best thing this channel does. It reminds me of watching movies with my younger brother. Sadly, I'll be going to college in a few months, so we won't be able to play video games together or watch movies or shows together nearly as often. We're sure as hell making it last though. We've been playing Smash Melee non-stop recently.
I can't believe I'm just now realizing the Blackjack dealer in the casino is the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.
all these movies are great. looking forward to see you react to the others.
Wait until you get to the next Austin Powers film.. Rob Lowe doing an AMAZING impression of Robert Wagner as Number Two...
I remember seeing this in the theaters with my friends. This is one of the funniest movies. I think the second is actually funnier. And Dr Evil is hilarious. Also, as for how can he be a spy if he is so well known....it is actually common, or at least more common for celebrities to help gain intelligence because of their fame, it helped them gain access by invite from world leaders. I went to the spy museum in DC and if I remember correctly, there was a section all about it during the 50's and 60's using baseball players and actors/actresses. I mean, look at Dennis Rodman and how close he got to Kim Jon Un
Probably the most realistic take on a bond-esque villain ever. I imagine this is exactly how it would go in real life.
have to do the whole trilogy.. they actually get better!
favorite line from the movie “hey there you are”
“well hi, do i know you”
“no but that’s where you are, there”
I've seen this so many times. Never once noticed the chest hair. Good find sir
"Hey, there you are!"
"Hi. Do I know you?"
"No, but that's where you are. You're there!'
Curtis' comment about the teeth and if you become half British if you get your teeth fixed, had me holloring!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haven’t watched Austin Powers in a very long time but these movies are definitely hilarious. The last one, Goldmember I thing, is my favorite.
